cast tv box screen to android tv - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I have an android tv box (kii pro with dvb tuner) I would like to cast the device screen to my android phone screen (xiaomi redmi note 4) So that I can point my antenna without having to carry the box and screen with me, I tried using vnc server but it is not stable, I tried some apps on my phone as a miracast sink but they didn't work

there's another app that i tried which is

when i used this app on my phone it showed on my tv box screen cast setting as two devices

when i connect to the second device ( wireless display [miracast] ) it fails as the previous apps, but when I connect to the first device ( AirScreen [Cast] ) it connects but says "screen casting is not optimized for this device tv box" and the phone screen is black. So are there any apps that can accomplish what I need? I have root and Xposed on both my devices so if there are root apps or Xposed modules I can use them

I wonder if the hook can be cut...
get ready for a thread revival ladies and gentlemen...
has anyone gotten this to work??? i tried using my little ps3 keyboard with my nexus, device isn't seen by the phone... i read the manual for the device... to pair it with the ps3 you have to plug it in through usb... i don't see a way to get it to broadcast itself wirelessly... typing in the terminal emulation window on android sucks...
::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::
figured it out... you need to hold down the blue button on the top left shoulder while you turn the keyboard on... you also need to have an app the will detect the keyboard as an input device... i found one called BlueInput... works like a champ!!!

[APP][2.2+] Music Connect Beta 1

Have you ever wanted to select music from your android phone or tablet and play it on your computer Ofcourse you have. This app is in a pretty basic stage at this point, but none the less you can indeed select music on your android phone, and it will play on your computer. For this to work you need two applications. One is a listener for your computer. For now it is only for windows, and if does not run it is most likely because you need to install the .net framework. Just download the windows music connect bellow, extract, and run music_connect-beta1. You will also need the android app music connect. Just download it from the link bellow and install on your phone. Make sure you are using the same network on your computer and android device. Your computers fire wall may also request permission. Make sure to allow it or this application will not work. Other than that it is pretty self explanatory. I welcome any bug reports or feature requests:good: I hope you guys enjoy. If you do please press the thanks button

[Q] Using my tablet as a monitor for a new computer build (?)

Okay this may sound silly but here it goes!!
I'm about to build a new computer, but I only have one desktop monitor . . . and it's attached to the crappy computer soon to be landfilled heh.
If I have to I can of course disconnect my huge NEC widescreen monitor and haul it over to my bench, but what would be too cool would be to rig my little tablet in some way that it displays the activity of the new computer as it takes its first boot.
Because if it doesn't boot, then I'm going to need online help from the home-built forums to troubleshoot what I've connected incorrectly. I would like to have both computers at my disposal as I am building, in other words. I have never done this before, but I have (2nd Gen. DSL) WIFI here at home and I can too easily picture me hauling my monitor back and forth NOT! lol
I saw the free Chrome app (Chrome Remote) but . . . I'm not sure that would work on a new build such as mine because I won't even have partitioned my drives let alone installed Chrome.
Any suggestions? Can this even work? Which Play Apps would I use?
Thanks guys!

BUMP! Help?

[Q] Need help from miracast users

I used the workaround in build.prop file to enable miracast support in my phone, but I couldn't connect my phone to my tv using wifi direct. Today I updated to 4.4.4 and as I was hoping, my phone magically connected to my tv and I can finally use miracast but the problem is that the video gets stuck after around 5 seconds of display. I just want to know if the problem is of moto g, can it really stream 720p in real time or it's the problem of my tv (lg 42ln5710). I also noticed that there was an option for cast screen in status bar (maybe motorola enabled it by default).

Moto G can handle Miracast fine. Your issue may be because you upgraded via an update file. This process can create new issues. A factory reset might solve your problem, or you may need to Fastboot flash a full 'firmware image' (when available - which will be announced in this thread):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546251
Alternatively most of the custom ROMs should have working Miracast, along with the added benefit of simultaneous Internet connection and screen-mirroring - something that is not possible with the Stock Motorola Firmware at present.

Google Smart Lock (Unlock with Bluetooth device)

On my Xiaomi Mi Note 10, the option "Unlock with Bluetooth device" under "Settings - Passwords & Security" does not find any devices.
I am connected to the Bluetooth in my car, listening music via Spotify and navigating with Google Maps, but the Setting "Unlock with Bluetooth device" doesn't show any devices.
See screenshots attached:
When connecting to a Bluetooth device the first time, the original Google Smart Lock notification pops up and you can add the Bluetooth device to the Smart Unlock list, but it doesn't work in my car and the Xiaomi Setting "Unlock with Bluetooth device" doesn't show the device either.
Does anyone have the same problem?
I've had 3 MIUI phones and it's the same on all of them, Xiaomi have made it only work with their products. My Note 10 Pro came with bundled Air Dots and Mi Band 4, the Mi Band works with Bluetooth unlock but none of my other Bluetooth devices do despite being added through Google after first connection.
