[Q] Need help from miracast users - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used the workaround in build.prop file to enable miracast support in my phone, but I couldn't connect my phone to my tv using wifi direct. Today I updated to 4.4.4 and as I was hoping, my phone magically connected to my tv and I can finally use miracast but the problem is that the video gets stuck after around 5 seconds of display. I just want to know if the problem is of moto g, can it really stream 720p in real time or it's the problem of my tv (lg 42ln5710). I also noticed that there was an option for cast screen in status bar (maybe motorola enabled it by default).

Moto G can handle Miracast fine. Your issue may be because you upgraded via an update file. This process can create new issues. A factory reset might solve your problem, or you may need to Fastboot flash a full 'firmware image' (when available - which will be announced in this thread):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546251
Alternatively most of the custom ROMs should have working Miracast, along with the added benefit of simultaneous Internet connection and screen-mirroring - something that is not possible with the Stock Motorola Firmware at present.

[Q] - JB update & 3G

hello there ...
i have question about JB update and lost 3G connection : is it possible to get 3G working again without RMA ?
and that's the story behind this :
after buying this device i got an automated OTA update for ICS on the first switching on. after this the system was very instable, so that some programs wouldn't install/start in the first, and android itself very often crashed at last. so i red many threads here, how to make a clean reinstallion of ICS. here where very good noob-friendly guides , so that my device runs very fine after that, only with one exception; the 3G modem. it find all providers in my area, but it won't connect to anything. the only message i got is "Cannot connect at the moment, please try again later !". at this point i decided to change to JB (after testing it with several SIM-cards), with the hope to get it working again. but that was a false conclusion; it never comes back to fully functionality. the rest of all works on opposite very good now.
edit: i've not rootet or installed any custom recovery on my tf300tg.
if its not a simcard issue (check if it works with other phones) I think that your tablet is defective, not a software issue.
Sir there is already a thread that you can discuss your problems here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928865
Thanks and

Flytouch 8 BC1300 does not start wifi?

Hello!
They brought me two days ago a tablet, Flytouch 8 Superpad VIII. BC1300 4gb ram, Android 4.0.4 tablet was stuck with Android, he would not start. Reinstall it via USB cable through livesuite.
I installed its official ROM to the Kingdom A10 Series Flytouch 8_20120810_Resisitive
I tried with another Rom coming into a single archive livesuite - sun4i_crane_bc1003
Tablet reinstalled in usb, but does not want to start WIFI. I think knob wifi their works, just software itself off nyaka, and does not want, can not scan for any networks.
I tried on various topics to read about such a problem, but for now I can not decide. I read somewhere that if the tablet comes with Android version 2.2 and reinstalled with inappropriate rom, wifi died irrevocably and can no longer be restored in any way. As far as I know this comes with Android 4.0.4 and whether there died wifi, or need to find another ROM?
Also do not want to enter into recoveri mode, but I preisntalirah through cable. Here are some photos!
I hope anyone could point me how to solve the problem, hardware or software.

Problem updating device software automatically in samsung galaxy s5

Hi XDEVS,
I am using Samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900F), Android 5.0. Since last few months my OS software doesnt find its new update automatically where I kept "Check update automatically & Download automatic via wifi" turned on (I am attaching a screenshot). But when I reset my device & then I check for new update, it shows me I have new updates available. So, I need to reset my device every time to check for latest update & it is so much annoying to set up my device as my way again & again. One of my friends using another Galaxy S5 & yesterday he informed me that his device been updated in "MARSHMALLOW" 6.0 and mine is showing nothing.
If anybody there who have solutions of my problem, please do help me out and your every help is highly appreciable.
Thanks in advance.
** If you need information about my device and recently running software version, I am attaching some screenshots of them.

cast tv box screen to android tv

Hi,
I have an android tv box (kii pro with dvb tuner) I would like to cast the device screen to my android phone screen (xiaomi redmi note 4) So that I can point my antenna without having to carry the box and screen with me, I tried using vnc server but it is not stable, I tried some apps on my phone as a miracast sink but they didn't work
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ddo.pgnishikawa.wfdsinkemu&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=soho.studio.sara.wifidisplaysink&hl=en
there's another app that i tried which is
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionitech.airscreen
when i used this app on my phone it showed on my tv box screen cast setting as two devices

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
when i connect to the second device ( wireless display [miracast] ) it fails as the previous apps, but when I connect to the first device ( AirScreen [Cast] ) it connects but says "screen casting is not optimized for this device tv box" and the phone screen is black. So are there any apps that can accomplish what I need? I have root and Xposed on both my devices so if there are root apps or Xposed modules I can use them

From my understanding these options only let you set what your phone, speaker and used codec support. So I'm not surprised that they reset to default, most probably because none of the other options are supported.
well thats weird but at least it would explain it, thanks. so the problem still persists. i guess i have to try a costum rom
I doubt that a custom ROM will let you change those options any better, but it may provide better bluetooth (sound) quality in general and solve your problem that way.
