I created a video showing how to root and install Google camera app and AR Stickers as well.
How can I remove the strange artifacts from the photos? Its visible on the sky and white backgrounds (as you can see on the attached photo)...weird and ugly.

nice video!
only complain is:
will be better if you post link in description to xda topic or androidfilehost to download the necessary files!
Someone got slowmo videos working as they should with Oreo and Google Camera? With Nougat i could make 120 fps videos with audio...

Yes, I wanted to post links to XDA but the threads here keep changing and do not want to confuse newbies. And I also wanted to share the files I used personally (not a newer version or a previous version).
I understand!
But root is already assuming a risk, rendering the device more weak to virus and bad stuff.
Root using files and apk re-uploaded by someone is his personals google drive even riskier. Who assure me and other possible users the apk/other file dont have spyware or other bad stuff injected?
This at least is what i know (but im newbie).
I mistake?

I have tried many APKs at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/#apk195 and some others for OnePlus5/5T.
They are not working.
Anyone have a solution for this problem?
THX.
Also didn't manage to find a working app that gives the same quality like I had with gcmod5 on OP3 before yet
MGC_5.2.022 yields pretty good results for me.
Gcam doesn't work properly with SD845 yet.

WOW, I also installed this one. But I didn't get motion photo and portrait mode. Is there any setting for this version to open them?
I though it is suggested setting when u install it.

I think SD845 has been released for a while==
When will we get this feature.
Does MGC_5.2.022 have dots on photos?
m really confused, wheather should i go ahead and buy op6 or should i wait for improved op6t !!
at oneplus experience store, i clicked a lot of pics, but certainly i am not satisfied with the quality which we used to get in op3t !! with a gcam mod. It just blows away. M using IP7 as a spare phone and camera is pretty good, m not a iphone guy. hopefully someone find out to make camera better. specifically, portrait mode ported from google pixel 2 ! fingers crossed.
Any version of Gcam I tried doesn't work on the 6. HDR+ seems to be nonfunctional. Maybe it really just isn't compatible with the SD845

It is not working.
After selecting model. either Pixel or Nexus and restart the app, it pops up with error.
If you do not select any model, HDR just don't running.

Maybe after the Pixel 3 release.
With SD 845 doesn't work HDR+; so it's usefuy, for now.
I got Urikills version of gcam to process the HDR+-shot twice. After that, no go. Tried to reproduce but cant make it happen. Settings were Pixel / Nexus 6 auto hdr+ / super fine.
Just saying that there is hope.

Tried the new GoogleCamera-Pixel3Mod-Arnova8G2-V3.apk today. Instant crash
Let's be honest the 7 Pro is not a very good camera right now. We all know with OnePlus it will take a few updates to get the camera where we want it. I was wondering if the Gcam apk is a better alternative right now or is it still in development for the 7Pro??
Don't know about you guys, but I been taking really good photos with it. Stock app and not even Nightscape.

I'm using the OnePlus stock camera app.
There is a gcam thread further down the page.
The camera is brilliant, came from Huawei P20 Pro and did a blind test between them for some friends. The Huawei scored 0.
Nothing complicated here, just install the zip in Magisk Manager. No need to reboot. It won't show up as a module, so don't worry about that. To remove these changes, clear the data of the OnePlus Camera app.
Updated April 17th, 2020
Fixed an issue where the changes wouldn't be applied on a previously modified camera config

Np. Macro is pretty lousy, but works a bit better on the wide angle lens
Anyone got a sample of 20x zoom? I can't imagine how bad it would look?
@Arden144 thank you so much for this.
Was wondering if there's a way to make it show as a Magisk Module just for a "peace of mind" thing I guess you'd say and also, will this work on newer versions of the OnePlus Camera? Right now using it on 3.8.87.
Thanks in advance and again, nice job. ??

Depends on the subject, if you are planning to read text or small signs from far then its horrible. Its better to have 20x for big subjects like buildings. On good light its like the phone of 2010.

It is not your code, actually. Take a look at the zip.
I also edited the Magisk update binary to skip all the unnecessary stuff and make the module flash almost instantaneously, as well as be as small as possible.

How so? It is not his idea, nor his execution.
Docnok found the XML to edit, posted the edits, and I made a module to apply them quickly to any version. At one point I did ask TotallyAnxious for his module that does the same for my personal use, but he refused.

To be fair i found the xml and explained to docknok how to enable macro and how to make other edits with preferences manager. A module was on the build
but we didnt knew how to code it fully. Totally anxious got it working on her module. The trick was out there already when i explained docknok, many people was already enabling this on preferences manager by that time. Macro mode is only useful to eliminate backgroud blur on macro close ups. T versions focus better in hardware. My point is that arguing about credits of xml edits is kinda pointless because it was an easy trick that many people knew. Dont know about the magisk code, figured out by learning totally anxious module and then dropped stock cam over gcam.
Thanks for this module but yeah as mentioned, super macro mode doesn't really work as well as it should.

You can download them from APKMirror, including the Saturn one which is not included in stock, and use Google Wallpaper app to install.

Indeed!
Good thing is that APKMirror is quite reliable. Here's a direct link to the Earth one if you're interested, but the others are also there: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/superwallpaperearth/
(FWIW, I do see this under MIUI Wallpapers > Superwallpapers, but dunno if I did something right/"wrong")

I can't say why, but today it worked perfectly the first time around, it could just be a matter of faulty servers !

It's the T-Mobile software has to be. I'm using global op9 unlocked and love the hassleblad cam. And on latest 1.2.5.5
There's no optical image stabilization on this phone like everything else on the market.
Photos have been great for me. Sounds like a hardware issue. Yeah, no OIS, but unless you're shaking a lot, it should not be blurry.
