Hello There, I'm facing a little problem. Need Some Help!
Professional/Manual Mode is missing in camera of my honor 4C.
Few days ago, I was trying to root my phone (running marshmallow) with TWRP Recovery and due to false directions, I wiped out all the firmware files.
Then I reinstalled the official stock ROM with stock recovery. Next time, I rooted my device successfully without deleting any file.
Everything was going ok, but yesterday, while trying to take some pictures with its camera,
I found (just) PRO Mode is missing. I tried installing other camera apps like open camera, camera zoom fx, But it's missing in them too.
Model NO: CHM-U01
Android Version: 6.0

Hello everybody,
today i bought a new Galaxy S7 (Exynos).
Becuase i had Resurrection Remix OS on my previous phone, a Galaxy S5, and since i loved it, i decided to install the S7 version.
So, my first step was to follow this guide to install TWRP and Root:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770
Afterwards i flashed Resurrection Remix OS Rom. But then i discovered that the camera isnt working: As soon as im opening the camera app, the screen stays black and after some seconds either "Can't connect to camera" or "Camera has stopped" is popping into my eyes. Then i tried to install LineageOS, but the result was the same.
I found something on Google to force stop the camera app and deleting cache etc - which i did, but it didnt help.
So i flashed back the Stock Firmware (G930FXXS1DQG4) and camera worked again.
I tried again to install TWRP and the ROM afterwards, but again, camera isnt working.
Can someone help me about? I totally dont want to stick to the S7 Stock Firmware.
Thanks in advance
You probably have the Sony camera sensor, which is not working on AOSP ROMs yet.
Ah ... Well, that's some explanation. Thank you
Looks like there is a solution for the Sony sensor.
Looks like there is a solution for the Sony sensor, if I have read it right. At least for Linage OS (but I haven't installed id yet).
Unfortunately I can' t post outside links here, but look for Lineage OS BUGBASH-729 in google.
Have at look at this for information and what looks like the solution on the problem.
And read through Activity - All.
Hello, good night, I have a problem with the camera, it takes 30 seconds to start, I do not know what is going on, someone who can help me, this happened after installing Miu 10 with the Mi Mi TR Rom V.8.7.29 of this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...iui10-miui-tr-rom-8-7-29-coming-soon-t3822279 and I had error the camera and install a fix of the camera that is that same page and the problem was solved but I gave many errors that rom so I decided to return to miu 9 and I did it through the twrp formatting data and I could go back to miu 9 but I started to give error the camera for what install from flash tool but it still takes time to start the camera, I do not know if it was to install that camera fix earlier or not, someone to help me please.
I enclose a video so you can see my problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2uDX0FSFpM
Maybe flashing a new firmware can solve the problems:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi..._V9.5.3.0.NCHMIFA_f75ae7e989_7.1.zip/download
Flash this using TWRP and let me know the results :highfive:
Hi,
I'm quite new to operating with Android phones, anyway..
I had been running the stock MIUI 10 10.2.2.0 Stable ROM on my Redmi Note 6 Pro. I've decided to try PixelExperience ROM because it runs on Android Pie and I like design of pure Android. So I flashed twrp by MrR00t (it has to support Pie ROMs and it really worked), boot into twrp, canceled decrypting storage, wiped data partition, flashed disable dm-verity and force encryption, flashed pie firmware, rebooted to recovery again and installed latest PixelExperience.
Everything was fine (i mean camera worked) and I've decided to root the phone for changing emoji. I've changed them successfuly. And I wasn't fed enough so I was unhappy that the PIN is not 'entered' automaticaly (I mean after entering 5 or 6 numbers auto "enter" press). This feature provides GravityBox, so I've installed successfully Xposed for my device (not wrong version, I am pretty sure about that) and then wanted to install custom GravityBox for Android Pie (official is not avaiable yet). It needed two other modules installed before ('Magisk Riru Core' and 'Magisk EdXposed Beta'), I've installed them successfully, then I rebooted the phone and installed GravityBox from link given in the thread. Then activated GravityBox module in Xposed and rebooted for activating.
Unfortunately the phone soft-bricked, so I reinstalled PixelExperience and wiped Dalvik/Cache and rebooted to system. Camera stopped working (I mean camera app didn't even display any button, no settings, just black screen).
I have already tried installing stock stable MIUI ROM, beta ROM and camera doesn't work on either of them. Also tried hardware test and it stops working after trying to run camera test. No matter which camera (both front and both main doesn't work). BUT both LED flashes works.
Please, help me, I am out of ideas
btw. I know the issue seems to be physical, BUT it stopped working after flashing something.. Phone also bricked, I think there is some connection.. Thank you all for the time
EDIT: I have found out that it's caused by damaged file "persist" located in dir: /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist. I did replace it with persist.img file extracted from fastboot version of latest pie beta ROM MIUI in twrp terminal. That file is probably responsible for system communication with all the sensors, as I read in internet, and Xiaomi devices are blocked to manipulate with it by just flashing ROM in fastboot (this function is called arb = anti rollback).
Phone model: Oneplus 7 Pro GM1911 (India)
Problem: Back camera not working - Black screen in the viewfinder
Wherever I try to open the camera from WhatsApp, snap, camera, gcam, etc.. my phone crashes and the only way to come out of it is to re-boot my phone.
If i long press on the camera app and select selfie my front camera works, so the problem is only with the back camera and whatever apps try to access the back camera.
Until recently I was in OOS 11 beat 4, realized my camera is not working so reset the phone to android 9 via an official update zip and then updated to OOS 11 stable V11.0.0.2 hotfix where many people were saying the camera started working again, but even after doing that my camera was not working.
Then I flashed PixelExpeiance ROM, following all the instructions for a clean flash. Still, my camera was not working
I again re-flashed the FW11.0.0.2 global with pixel experience ROM still installed, everything else works except my back camera.
Everything was working until I moved to Beta 4 of official OOS11, can anyone tell me how do I get my back camera working again??
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
P.S: The country I'm living in right now doesn't have a Oneplus service center so taking it to Oneplus is not an option for me.
Update: Tried flashing the stock firmware using MSM tool, 10.3.8 still my camera does not work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Did you try OOS 11.0.2 they say it was a hotfix for most of the problems people where facing. Just a suggestion
Hi Guys, I bought a second hand 10 Ultra that had the EU ROM version 12.10. Battery life, everything was perfect. EXCEPT the camera! And the camera was THE only reason to buy this phone. Horrible photos, a lot of smear and haze when a light source was in the picture, like a light bulb, computer screen, almost unusable. So after reading that the chinese ROM can fix the issue I've used Xiomiflash and installed the latest official CN ROM : https://xiaomirom.com/en/download/mi-10-ultra-cas-weekly-V13.0.0.1.1.DEV/ . Fantastic photos, great camera overall but many bugs concerning all the apps installed via Google Play. no real time notifications, gmail interface very laggy , an important battery drain (10% overnight as with EU Rom was 1-2%).
So I have decided to go back. I have download and tried to install an EU ROM, it installed something but froze halfway and after a few hours I stopped the program.
Tried again and no luck, now I get the error message "anti rollback check error". I have google it, ran the cmd I have a code 1 in the phone.
On youtube there is a fix to that and all the comments are positive, so I opened the "bat" file in a txt editor and deleted the first lines about the rollback check.
Open the EU ROM with Xiaomiflash and It started to work but froze again after 10'-20' for hours.
So for the time being I think I have a bricked phone that starts with a bootloop, I can get in into the chinese recovery but using that it gets it again in the bootloop, I tbelieve that it"s booting into a corrupted ROM.
I have found this tool from XIAOMI http://zhushou.xiaomi.com/ but it's all in chinese, I have tried with a camera translator app on another phone but it's just impossible to translate.
I really really hope I can still get it back to work! Ideally with an EU rom, a 12.5 version, if downgrading it's impossible then again with the version13 beta CN ROM that worked.
Anyone any idea?
To resume evrything: Phone worked with EU ROM 12.5 - Used xiomiflash - wipe evrything- installed CN rom v13 - wipe evrything /tried to reinstall EU ROM v12.5- roll back error -stuck - wipe everything/tried to reinstall the same CN ROM V13- stuck halfway - Phone in bootloop/ fastboot -can access recovery mode that doesn't help.
I know it's long but I spent 2 full days and evenings trying to solve it :-(
Many many thanks in advance !
Hey, have you tried reinstalling using fastboot? basically start flashing from scratch. and stick to using only weekly or stable rom.
