Wrong background shape for some popup messages

Hi all,
after the last security update (plus some bugfix I think) to G930FXXU1DQEI sw version, brand Vodafone, I'm facing the following issues on my S7 flat:
A wrong background shape for some popups and a strange black spot on the selector , only in google now settings. Please check the attached pictures
I already tried to fix them by recovery with an hard reset without success.

Definitely odd
I would flash (odin) firmware again , use home-csc ( same CSC that is in your phone right now) so you do not loose any data

After some attempts I can say this issue happens moving the screen resolution from FHD to HD.
I flashed the rom by Odin and worked fine, at the beginning.
After the screen resolution mod the issue is still there.
Moving the resolution to FHD again and switch off/on the issue is not present.

Hi,
I can confirm this is a bug, to be honest I don't know if it was present in the previous build. I tried to reproduce on another S7 (brand tim) and it is present.
Basically the steps to reproduce this issue are:
Change the screen resolution to HD and restart the phone. Uninstall an app and check the text box shape.
Probably you will find other problem in google now search bar or settings
To fix this issue move from HD to FHD.

Bug music lockscreen control

i don't know if is a bug or not,but when i play music (whit google play music or stock music player) and i try to change song in lockscreen,i need to tap few time before phone change song,it seem you have like 20x20 pixel area where next button work like you use a bad Resistive touchscreen . Different play button,much bigger and you can tap even on edge and work fine. You can seen in video.

Thanks for the reply,i don't know,i buy the phone this month and the first thing i made after turn on and insert my google account was update the sw.
I can say i touch the screen normally (only in lookscreen i have this problem)

Have you got a screen protector on it?

It could be an issue for the protector too.

I have one and sometimes the touch doesn't respond.

Never had this problem.

Youtube problem when I but full screen

Hello ?
I have problem since last week
After I update the youtube
If I but it full screen the option showing smaller like there is bug you can see it in the picture
The second problem
When I press the back button ?
The change and I need nothing show
Alos u can see it in the picture
I tray LG Device and no problem on it
Please help

I don't know abou other user for htc u 11 plus

Yes sure I tried reboot but nothing changes ?

Is it possible that you have YouTube with resolution optimization on Boost+? Because in my case, for instance, if I set the resolution optimization for Samsung Internet Browser (Beta), it becomes unable to go full screen with its built-in video player.

I tried one thing
I remove the update from the play store
Its work fine now
Any body facing this problem?

I'm also having this problem, it started happening after the last couple of Youtube update. I tried clearing cache and rebooting many times. Guess we have to just wait till Google start getting their ****s together.

I Update The youtube to the last update
Then the problem come again ?
So I remove it until we get solution for silly problem.

little improve in video quality
and notice something happed to the screen when play hdr video on youtube
also the quality of taking picture from front camera in WhatsApp and snapchat improved

Snapchat's front camera photos are still beautified or not sharp.

Vivo customer service is awesome. The fingerpint not working/appearing issue with the last update, when AOD is off and proximity sensor(infrared sensor) is triggered is FIXED after discussion/video of issue with customer support

I am using Nova Launcher with the Nova Companion for the Google Feed. It was stuttering before and now it runs mch smoother.

Updated to 1.8.10 yesterday and tried using Lens and Assistant this morning but both seem broken. Lens says "thanks for updating, we will be available soon" or something like that. Assistant freezes the phone and won't open at all.
Anyone else have this problem?
Agreed that fps is faster but haven't noticed the other two.

Hmm....the stock "launcher" k8nd of restarts several times a day, like I go to home screen and it displays only loading... For a couple of seconds, then the homescreen apears...like after a fresh boot up?!

Happens to me too. Mostly when I go home after browsing the net.

Battery life after update now halved. Not a good update. I reported to support but doubt there will be a solution. Anyone else having poor battery life ?

I am not experiencing any problems everyone else is describing.

For me updated working very nicely. No issues in launcher and camera quality has been improved specially for selfie camera.

0 issues

Double tap to close the screen still doesn't work.
AOD still doesn't work with third party apps (except for WhatsApp).
Very few skins for AOD

A double tap to turn off the screen works but on the lock screen. You will wake up with a double throttle to wake up the screen and extinguish it with a double thump.

For custom launchers, try to clean cache files. I had faced some issues before cleaned caching

Question Videos don't use the entire screen ?

I bought a new phone (iqoo 7) after 3 years. I am not sure if this is an android issue/feature or a phone specific issue. I can't help but notice that while playing videos on twitch, prime, youtube etc. the display doesn't use the entire screen space. A significant part of both the edges is blank and it really bothers me and is not a very good experience while watching a video. If i pinch out and zoom the video to fit to the screen then it because it is zoomed, some parts/edges of the video can't be seen. I am not up to date with mobiles however i used android 8.0 in my previous phone and was always able to use the full screen while watching videos.

It is the default behavior of displays using punch hole cameras.
To change this go to "Settings -> Display & brightness -> Top-area display".
Then change the apps you want to be full screen from "Automatic fitting" to "Display the front camera".
It should do the trick.

Could you try Display at top of screen option at the last?
I don't have this option there and instead I have the Top-area display option there instead.

Yeah, there's an option in display at top of screen. It was on automatic fitting by default I tried changing it to other to options but nothing happened.

It got fixed for me by choosing "Display the front camera". IDK why it doesn't work for you.
