Hello, i'm doing everything to unlock bootloader, in the and flashtool says that bootloader unlocked successful. But when I'm checking status in xzp it says - bootloader unlock allowed - Yes, but how i know, if bootloader is unlocked there must be written - bootloader unlocked - Yes!
Can someone help me?
Reboot your phone and if the start up screen says "Your device cannot be trusted" then success! You've done it!
I have been trying with no luck. it is unlockable, I think the only lock on my phone is just for carrier. I have tried for hours and the closest I got was yesterday, it finally connected to my phone with the right driver and when entering the user lock code got the familiar "command not allowed" on device.
Would rolling back the OS make a difference

Hi all,
I've been searching like crazy for the past week, looking for info on the bootloader/fastboot systems on the Xperia L.
I've read in lots of threads that the Xperia L's (and SP's as well) which cannot have their bootloader unlocked (Bootloader unlock: Not allowed) don't have the so-called "fastboot mode" which is accessed by pressing the volume up key and plugging the USB cable.
Now, my Xperia L, bought in Portugal, SIM-Locked to Vodafone, has this "BL unlock: Not allowed" - which means I cannot unlock it nor do I have access to the fastboot mode. The twist here is that it appears that I do have fastboot.
10 minutes ago I switched off my phone, pressed the vol-up key, plugged the cable and the phone wake up with the characteristic blue LED and my computer recognized a device being connected to it.
What I'm asking right now is - where do I stand? Is is possible to unlock my BL having access to the fastboot mode? Is there anything I can do to verify that I actually do have it?
I'm sort of desperate right now because I really want to flash custom ROMs on my L and all I see is closed doors due to this BL thingy. I've been told there are ways to mod a ROM in order for it to be flashed on locked BL (this info came from one FXP dev!) but I really don't see anything anywhere regarding it.
If anyone has any knowledge and/or can help me anyhow, please do so.
Thanks in advance!
have you tried unlocking the bootloader??
Why don't you use flashtool to give it a try

If I try to, wont it brick my phone? I thought of doing it before but was sort-of afraid, because I didn't backup my TA partitions etc.
Though I haven't tried it, I don't think it will brick your phone.
You can first backup your TA Partition and then proceed.
Unlocking bootloader can't even be done with a Non unlockable bootloader
And do try to flash a kernel, it should say not allowed
im kinda going crazy here tbh, i have followed the tutorials to install a custom rom on my xperia, however when i go to unlock bootloader im confused, when i check if it can be unlocked is says "Bootloader unlock allowed"
according to the guide i was following this means that my device can unlock it, all good ok.
however after i reach to the part where i have to hold the volume button and plug the usb cable, i get an error message on the flashboot program saying that my device bootloader cannot be officially unlocked (and yes i have all the drivers installes)
i searched on sony website and says that if "Bootloader unlock allowed" appears, but no status (yes/no) like mine, it means that it cannot be updated.
however i found this guide today https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/tutorial-bootloader-unlocking-relocking-t2332900 that says that on xperia L Bootloader unlock allowed means that IT CAN be unlocked, otherwise the message would be "Bootloader unlock not allowed"
so i dont understand what its going on, can my device BL be or not be unlocked?
- install using this guide
- then i relock the bootloader
- no Google Play, sim not detected, phone become RELOCKED instead of LOCKED
- enable Developer Options but OEM Unlocking greyed out(it says 'Connect to the internet or contact your carrier')
- phone connected to WiFi, can browse, but still no luck
- try to relock but i cant since OEM Unlocking cannot enabled
- so yeah, I'm stuck with bootloader locked i cant do anything
Any help here? Im running out of ideas. Please help.
I was using my phone normally yesterday (Saturday) 12/06, I left it charging and when I looked at it again, it was restarting non-stop. It's a Redmi Note 8, I held the power button, but it wouldn't turn on, it just went back to the bootloader screen, I didn't try to format it as I'm trying to recover my files. So I thought about unlocking the bootloader to have access to my files, I used Mi Unlock Tool, but it doesn't work because it asks me to add my account to the device (It was already added before this happened). I still have access to my account phone number, and email. But I couldn't unlock by this fastboot method, so I tried using the "fastboot oem unlock" command, which didn't work either, it showed these two messages.
'Fastboot boot command is not available in locked device'
FAILED (remote: 'Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device')
fastboot: error: Command failed
The versions of MiFlash Unlock I used were
"miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.55" and "miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24".
The device is not recognized by the "Mi PC Suite".
The device still appears in fastboot devices, but not in adb devices
bump
When unlocking phone's bootloader automatically all user-data get lost.
Hint: Add Redmi Note 8 to this thread's title thus mainly owners of such phone get addressed.

Ok!
When using "MiFlash Pro", I managed to reach 100% (?), but the device resets, gets stuck in the MIUI screen for 2 minutes and then resets again to the bootloader screen. I was flashing the same ROM i was using, the "V12.0.4.0.QCOMIXM".
Video flashing the ROM
This post is more like an explanation.
So my phone got bricked today, stuck at logo. I managed to access recovery and format data, but its stuck at formating data for more than 6 hour.
The only choice left is to unlock bootloader and flash firmware. Now here's the bull**** part.
When i try press fastboot oem unlock it says failed, device state locked. Device state can be set to unlock only through one method, by booting>going into settings>developer options>turning on oem unlocking. Doing this set your device in unlocked device state and thus allow it to unlock bootloader through fastboot. But, if your device got bricked and can't get into phone and your oem unlocking was off (average person will not set it to on) then you're ****ed, cuz without it you cannot unlock bootloader, thus you cannot install twrp or flash firmware.
This is so dumb, not even adb can set the device state to unlock. Read the last paragraph - (https://source.android.com/devices/bootloader/locking_unlocking)
There are so many post like these but no answer. so this post is for those guyz.
guess, i'll use feature phone for rest of my life
That an Android device's bootloader is locked by default isn't dumb, it has good reasons.
BTW: Flashing device's Stock ROM doesn't require device's bootloader got unlocked before.
tried flashing stock rom using adb sideload and fastboot. both failed. adb states that it cannot as it is a downgrade. fastboot says that device state is locked.
Yes, im aware that it is present for a good reason, but someone who's phone doesnt boot up has no way to unlock bootloader or do anything.
I'm not sure that I have the same problem but I have Samsung sm-t500 on the download mode says : device state lock and Im searching for FRP software but I think it won't happen because I tried too to connect via ADB and still can't connect.. But mine is still not bricked.. I will be very happy if you can give me some advice
