I updated my phone to 387 firmware( android 7) from 130 (android 6)
Following bug appears
If I turn on Network based location (by wifi and cellular networks), phone is unable to determinate my location, until I turn on wifi
On Android 6 this mode worked perfectly without wifi
Why and how to fix??

I've seen this across 2 devices now - the moment I update to 4.1.2, the wifi stops working.
- It sees networks fine
- It connects to networks fine
- It stays connected fine
- It does not transmit data over the networks.
The arrow icons flash as if it were doing something, but it's not actually displaying any results - apps do not update, browsers do not work, anything that needs the internet to function does not function.
Is anyone else seeing this? Android 4.04 works great, and I've not had any problems with it. It's good that 4.1.2 is an optional update.

Hi,
I have some wifi issues with my tablet, it does not like new Archer C25 but it still works just fine with the old TL-WR841N.
The issue looks like this:
- connecting to my wifi - no problems
- download an app from play store - no problems
- try again - no internet - still connected to the wifi :crying:
- turn off wifi and turn it back ON - internet works for a couple of minutes and back to start
Nothing works to fix it what i tried already is:
- fresh bloody android flash, and downgrade
- factory resets
- changing router settings: security WPA/WPA2, TKIP, AES, channel, transmit power - nothing works
- tried some android apps called wifi fix - nothing works
New router has no problems in terms of stability with any other device: 1 PC via LAN, 1 laptop via wifi, 3 android phones 1 of which on 5Ghz bandwidth.
This is so stupid incompatibility i have absolutely no idea whats left to check. HELP
I have an LG G3 that has been rooted, with a mock location app moved to system apps, and then unrooted (the device can easily be rooted again if necessary). The LG G3 is running the most up to date firmware available for the device which is Android 5.0.1 with security version MDF v1.1 Release 3.
I also have a OnePlus 3 running the latest stock Oxygen OS available which is version 5.0.1 based off of Android 8.0.0 with Android security level patch December 1, 2017.
My goal is to have both devices sharing the exact same location, assuming they are in range with each other (e.g. - Connected to each other via, Bluetooth or WiFi). I want to be able to use my mock location app from the LG, alter my location, and have that location be seen as my current location on the OnePlus 3.
It is my knowledge that location can be detected via WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular, and GPS, of which if you change the location mode/accuracy it will toggle between which options it used to determine the location.
I attempted to turn Airplane mode onto both the LG G3 and the One Plus 3. I then turned Bluetooth on on both devices and paired them. I turned the WiFi on, on my OnePlus 3. I then shared my internet connection (via Bluetooth). I tested to make sure that the LG G3 had an internet connection with a web browser, and the LG G3 was in fact connected to the web. As a side note, I turned airplane mode on on OnePlus 3 this way there was one less way for the true location to be detected.
Now that both devices are connected to each other and the internet is being shared, I figured the connection between the devices was secure, so I then turned my mock location app on on my LG G3 and moved my location elsewhere. In theory I thought this would work, but it wasn't working.
Come to think of it, I never totally disabled all possible location generation services on my OnePlus 3, so that is probably why the location on my OnePlus 3 was not working. Is there a way to modify this theory to make it work? I want both devices to be paired to the same location and for the OnePlus 3 to ignore its true location.
I have install the WIndows 11 Subsystem Android ("WSA") and has successfully sideloaded and installed some apks. However this apks require WiFi connection to work. Somehow there is no WiFi connection when running those apks. No issue on WiFi connection when running Windows apps.
I am residing in Asia and understand that currently the WSA is only for the US. Is there a way to make the the WiFi available for the WSA. I have tried VPN to US but still no WiFi connection.
Should got posted in Windows 11 forum.

Thanks. Tried both but nothing happen after keying in the command line.
No VirtWifi setting (gear icon) appears. But I have change the DNS 1 to 8.8.8.8 in Network setting but still no WiFi in WSA platform.
At last, I managed to get wifi working in WSA. Somehow the Windows HyperVision Platform was not ticked. After ticking and reboot, I got WiFi for WSA.
This is what I did.
1) Go to Search and type Turn windows features on or off
2) Scroll down and tick Windows HyperVision Platform
3) Reboot and install the HyperVision
I disabled advanced networking and wifi started working for me
