Need help with finding a de-googled rom or options. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I have a G930v which we all know can be crossed flashed.
I am switching to freedompop but that not the point of this thread.
I did do the nogut root but none of the modification for battery non performance, something happened where the root came off and I get "unauthorized app" but knox isnt tripped.
so I decided i'm just going to wipe my phone and start over.
I want a de-dedoxed , de-bloated, and de-googled phone, running root and xposed, because I would like to run MicroG on my phone.
Whats the best and lastest firmware from updato? I should download since samfirmware takes forever and a day to download.
any help is greatly appreciated.

You can only flash stock, so any G930U (unbranded) ROM would be the only option but they're not "de-google'd" as you put it

My Recent Flashing Experience (Note3 N900W8)

So with trying to help and give back to the community I'm going to post my recent flashing experience.
So here's a little history.. I have a N900W8 from MTS. (Manitoba Telephone System).
Couple months back when the Tel Cel base came out I wanted root so I flashed using the following guide.
This worked out well and the stock rom w/ root was very stable, CWM boot loader..
So now that this new build 'NB7' came out it got me itching to flash again.. LoL
I met all the requirements for 4.4.2 boot loader and such so I decided to flash xnote13 w/ civ snapkat kernel.
This setup worked well.. The rom had a few glitches but was very quick and the best of all I could change the DPI.
I didnt setup the rom 100% as I was feeling it out. After a day or so I decided to flash to stock NB7 and then flash xnote13 again so I can have the updated NB7 modem.
Oh Man.. This is where the fun begins.. So I hit up sammobile and grabbed the latest rogers rom as I noticed all the Canadian roms used the same PDA/CSC/MODEM.
PDA: N900W8VLUCNB7
CSC: N900W8OYACNB7
MODEM: N900W8VLUCNB7
I take this rom, flash it on my phone via Odin.. What I notice is the model# and build change to reflect NB7 but the baseband was still MJ4.
I flash 2-3x and still no change.. I'm like wtf..
At this point I'm confused as to why I cannot upgrade this baseband.
I then decided to flash the CSC from the guide I used earlier. As I had a multi-csc installed from when I had flashed Xnote13.
After this I flashed the NB7 rom again via Odin and boom. The baseband reflected NB7.
I noticed my phone had a few Bell apps. When I looked into this I found out its due to the CSC. I tried the method mentioned in most posts *#272*YOURIMEI# but this wouldnt work. I would get instant error messages.
I then found this app on google play which people mentioned having success with.
I used this app w/ root I was able to bring up a list of the CDN CSC codes. Whats funny is there is no list anywhere on the internet that has what CSC code belongs to which provider.
By going through sammobile and using some good guessing I was able to figure out what most of them are with some exceptions.. I couldnt find MTS...
I ended up choosing MTA and rebooted my phone but sure enough Bell apps were still there.. Tried a few more things and couldnt get past that so I just said forget it.
I decided to keep the Stock NB7 4.4.2 rom w/ root... I frooze all that Bell **** and there's no branding whats so ever.
The rom is working flawless. During this process I rooted the phone multiple times and flashed the NB7 rom multiple times via Odin. At no point did my Knox trip..
As of right now I have CWM as the bootloader and Knox is still 0x0.
Sorry for the long read.. If you have any questions lemme know.

Can you help me with rooting my phone? There's too much guides out there for specific models so it confuses me lol. My Note 3's model is the N900W8, running on KitKat 4.4.2, kernal 3.4.0-859721, and the baseband # is N900W8VLUCNB7. I just want to root it so I can remove all the bloatware. I don't plan on adding any ROMs to it unless it's close to looking like stock because I still want the SPEN features without all the fancy stuff

I've replied to your other thread in Q & A, but if you just want to root, flash this file using odin. It might or it might not trip Knox on your phone. Make sure reactivation lock is off before flashing.

Ready to trip knox and install a better ROM, how do I install TWRP?

I want to use this awesome ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423
I need to install TWRP. When I first got the phone, I learned that this was not possible with AT&T due to a locked bootloader. This still the case? I have been searching and I haven't found any tutorials or youtube videos specifically for AT&T Galaxy s6 -- is it the same process? I'm currently running Android 5.0.1 and I flashed a ROM with Flashfire (Ultra Light 1.8 by Rayman360) -- it's a great ROM but you can't do much since it's basically a de-bloat stock.
Can someone point me in the right direction for installing TWRP on the AT&T Galaxy s6?
I suspect I will need to do a full wipe here and then re-root with a different method.
I am familiar with Odin and TWRP, I have been using custom ROMs for years now.
I still think its not possible due to locked boot loader

[Completed] OTA Updates after Root

Hi Guys,
i have some questions concerning rooting. I have a stock Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) with T-Mobile branding. I would like to install a Custom ROM because my battery life is so bad but i love this phone (for example because of its water resistance and the fact that my hobby is diving ).
So my plan is:
1. root my device and install a custom Nougat ROM (to change the screen resolution)
2. when the official update is out i want to go back to stock Firmware
3. now my question: Is it possible to receive OTA Updates after getting back to stock firmware?
I know know is set to 0x1 after a root and im going to lose my varranty but thats no problem, i would only like to receive OTA Updates after going back to stock firmware.
Thank you for your help!
Greetings from Munich and have a great new Year 2017
Hi!
As long as your device is stock, recovery included, you should receive the ota no problem. So flashing stock firmware and recovery should do the trick. :good:
Don't accept an ota if you do happen to get an update notification, if you are not completely stock. It will fail.
Last resort too, is flashing an updated version manually. If that's possible for your device.
Good luck!
I posted i thought but don't see it i rooted an LG ls675 with king root removed a couple preinstalled apps sprint zone and 2 amazon apps I mistakenly tried ota failed found out this unrooted my phone and tried another ota that failed also running stock installed a root browser titanium bu busy box ect do i need to remove these apps or will i have to do factory reset to get this update running 5.1.1

Battery drains extremely rapidly. Recommended firmware to flash?

So my sister gave me her S7 after my Sony Xperia XA2 refused to read my new Verizon service. So I flashed the Verizon firmware since it was on AT&T's firmware (which disables the bands for Verizon) and it's awesome. Super snappy, super quick, good 4K video camera, the works.
The only problem is that the battery is draining faster than my iPhone 6, and this is just with responding to texts while I'm at work. Like today, I worked 5 hours and it went from 100% to 32%.
I read that there is a firmware I can flash with Odin that will greatly help the battery, but I'm not sure what it is. I really dont want to brick this phone.
My S7 is not rooted btw.

First off you it's a US S7 which means the bootloader is locked which means you can't flash Twrp (Custom Recovery) which means you can't flash a custom rom or obtain root threw recovery what you could do is see about rooting it first i believe the root for the US S7 is threw a modified boot image that is patched threw Odin you would have to researcher that first after you obtained root then you have 2 options debloat the phone yourself which I wouldn't suggest cause if you remove something vital to the phone it will soft brick and you have no custom recovery to revert to a working image of your phone and you going to have to flash a stock firmware in Odin to fix it second whkch I do recommend is see if there are any roms for your model of phone that are flash fire flashable that you can flash again the process with this is one error and you will have to start the process all over again.... If you going to debloat after you obtain root just remove Samsung apps and Verizon bloatware and you should see a speed and battery increase just off of that alone... If your bold you flash xposed threw flashfire and open up your options even more.... Flash the wrong xposed and you Wil soft brick and have to start over again.... Some Samsung phones can take the official xposed for your sdk or need the alternative xposed for Samsung to work properly don't know which one yours fall under.... Good luck [emoji1696]

Need help un-rooting my S7

Hi All
I had and still have the latest software for SM-G930F
I followed a tutorial to root my s7 but then realised that root does not work properly on android 8.0.0
I would love some help to un-root my s7.
Baseband version
G930FXXS7ESL5
Build Number
R16NW.G930FXXS7ESL5
I have used odin to re flash original firmware but it still says the device is rooted.
like Samsung pass comes up this device is rooted so this option is unavailable.
i used sm-g930f cf-auto root, magic-disk and no-verify-opt-encrypt 6.1 and have twrp 3.3.1.0-herolte
it will only let me re-flash android 8.0.0 original firmware witch i though would wipe the the phone completely and un-root but i was most certainly wrong.
i wold love my s7 back on android 7.0 or below so that i can have a custom rom installed.
If you need more info let me know and thanks i advance to all the developers, moderators and users.
thanks
John
Hey there, since you have twrp already installed you could look into some of the custom roms if you want theres even Pie roms with OneUi avaliable, i have almost no experience with cf autoroot but if you want to completely get rid of previous system files before flashing the firmware select the option 'nand erase' in odin and make sure you fill every file to its respective field.
I would suggest against using 'plz' 'pls' in the title or your thread because that will most likely get you ignored, feel free to give me an update if that worked for you!
