What's up all. I have a Verizon model and am rooted. Now I'm wanting to change the font and wanted to ask what method you all have had success using. Not sure if there is an app to use or what. TIA!!
The best way to do it would be through xposed. Not sure if that is something you would want to run, but xposed is now in Beta and out for our phones. There are a couple of xposed modules i have ran to change the font on other devices, haven't tested on my pixel 2 yet, so not sure if it'd work on 8.1. But the xposed modue Fonter i have had good luck with. Allows you to change system font and even app font. I'd give that a whirl, that is definitely going to be your easiest way of changing the font. Otherwise i've seen Zips flying around the internet for nougat that change the system font, but not for oreo. Good luck.

So I searched up and down for my answer, could not find, if im THAT blind I do apologize lol.
I have rooted my HTC Inspire 4G (At&T) with Ace Hack awhile ago and just pretty much used it just to change fonts...I was looking for some themes to install onto my phone but I was wondering if the themes had to be spacifically for Ace Hack? Also, I know you can change fonts and remove stock apps ect. with a rooted phone but can I change font color or would that depend on the app I install?
Thank you for taking time to read and/or answer!

wait, wut? The Ace Hack Kit has nothing to do with changing themes. Basically you have some options. Some ROMs have themes built specifically for them. ARHD for instance has some themes that can be flashed. You can also use the UOT kitchen to customize a theme for yourself, it may not be as inclusive as a true theme but it does a good job at getting almost ever aspect. You can also use a different launcher, i.e. Go Launcher or something different, and they have themes for each launcher.
Fonts can be changed by using the font installer app. the color of the font depending on what font you're talking about can be changed with UOT kitchen or with a theme you use. Hope that helps!

haha not a problem! yeah ROM specific themes are few and far between, especially since the ROMs are updated often which sometimes causes changes in framework which in return causes the new to update the theme. You can always try ADW launcher, they too have some themes. If you aren't opposed to CM based ROMs I know they have a theme chooser app as well. UOT though seems to be the best option short of learning to theme that gives you the most customizable experience.
Hey,
Just wondering which current ROMs have the option to change the stock DPI? I've gotten so used to 160 that anything else seems absolutely gigantic. I know that the Paranoid Android and PACMAN ROMs both have the option to change the DPI. Which other ROMs give you this flexibility that you know of?
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your input.

Many of them do, if not all support DPI changes. Done require a little more effort than others to make it work properly. Go into the thread for a Rom . search DPI, you'll see plenty of posts on how to change the DPI and make it work properly. You're going to have to do your research to find the ROM you like with the DPI flexibility you want.

Do most of them come with the ability to change the DPI or is it something (like an app) that gives you the ability to do this? I know that with the two ROMs I mentioned I used "Paranoid Settings" in order to do this.
some have features built-in to handle dpi changes. others will need an app to take care of it. i know a few use Xposed built-in (embryo/jellybam) and others need an app to take care of it. in many of the roms, there have been discussions around dpi changes and getting them to work without borking other aspects of the phone.
the xposed framework with DPI plugin, and pananoid android/pacman based ROMs are the only way to change DPI on a PER APP level.
Any rom, stock or otherwise can change DPI as long as its rooted. use a build.prop editor and change the LCD.density value. Google this "build.prop lcd. density DPI" and you'll get exact instructions
I had the s6 edge and I would change the font and it wasn't a problem. I downloaded apps like ifont and it worked just fine. Now, I went to add the same font (roboto condensed) and it won't allow me to! The ifont app says I might have to root...I don't want to. Any way around this? I hope this makes sense
The same thing with me. Maybe they changed the flip font. I guess we wait for root. Then use ifont
Yea it's a bummer. Was using customs with Hifont on my S6 Edge without any problems. Now when I install a custom font and try to apply it i get "Font is not supported. Please contact the font owner". Not sure if it's a Marshmallow or a Tmobile restriction issue. I've even tried using fonts using the apk method.
Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows whether substratum does/will work on the new ultra? I'm coming off of a pixel 6 pro, which had root and the ability to run force dark mode on a per app basis. I'd love to be able to use something that doesn't require root to modify such things on this phone. I haven't had a Samsung phone since the s7 edge, so, I'm basically a noob for them.
You can try substrates lite with synergy. You may need to freeze theme services afterwards in order for it to stick. I think synergy automatically freezes theme store but services it definitely doesn't freeze. I haven't tried it yet but it might work. I believe hex works fine and doesn't freeze them and utilizes theme park instead. Shizuku is required of course. I haven't tried hex on this either though other than to change the font to Google sans which did work fine
Good Day Lovely People!
I am very fond of a particular custom font for my S22U.
Please advise the best font app to set celtic garamon fonts.
Thanks in advance.
You will probably get all kinds of Font app recommendations, but I'd suggest a different approach and use #HEX which not only supports custom fonts without Root, but also can be used to theme the device to within an inch of its life. I love it. I always used it on my Samsung devices. Its stable, and works well. You'll need Shizuku to grant proper permissions, but its worth it and pretty clean once its set up properly.
