Hi, i couldn't find any other forum where i could post for this. Can someone please help me unlock this phone? I'm a proud owner of Xperia X10, Samsung was for my brother and i'm not very familiar with it, i've never owned a Samsung before.
I've found an unlock method from fastgsm which i would have to pay about 20$. However recently i got into some money problems and even that otherwise small amount seems huge right now.
Is there a way to unlock it for free, or at least cheaper? Big thanks and sorry if this is a wrong forum for this kind of question.

So, please help me with Network unlock codes or tips to Software unlocking the same!
well nobody can just give you an unlock code since its specific to each phones imei..
your best bet is to just buy a code online.

Well, My friend could unlock the same by connecting the phone thru USB cable & following on-screen instructions which he got from some googling.

Only operator who sold you the phone can provide you the code.
I bought an unlocked 1020 but it had issues. Returned it to Nokia under warranty. Nokia said it was defective and sent me a new one. LOCKED. Nokia can't unlock it and AT&T says that can't or won't .. New phone LOCKED. Then, I saw a message here .. someone doing unlocks for the Nokia 1020. Paid the $60 and later noticed when I didn't get the code that in the small print it says "Do not purchase unlock for Lumia." JEEZ ... Tomorrow morning this damn phone goes up on eBay ... This will be my very last Nokia ...

Happy to report that the 'unlock" people were very nice and returned my $60. There was a form for buying the unlock code. My fault for not reading the small print. I have been messaging someone at Nokia UK .. he is looking into my problem. Very nice of him. Guess that's how it is when you don't have Nokia USA looking into things. They just wait the appropriate amount of time and tell you 'sorry.' I want to put the phone on eBay but I really wanted to use it for a while first. .

maybe you can call them via Skype (Skype from your country to USA landline), it should be cheaper at least... I had no problem getting my phone (which i bought at full price (609$)) unlocked from ATT directly.

The ATT unlocking service (system) was down for sometime. I'm not sure if that is still the case.

Call them, email them and do live chat. Have them open a case and if it gets closed call back again to get another one. Had this issue with my Xperia TL that I got off contract. They don't even sell the damn thing anymore and kept giving me the run around until I found a rep worth a damn and got the code the next day. Took a couple weeks but I got my code.

Hello XDA I'm freddy I'm a huge fan of the effort and quality of the developments you guys provide and today I need some assistance , I recently bought a verizon galaxy note 2 sch-i605 running android 4.3, sadly I was scammed on my purchase because when I got home the phone was blacklisted even though I used swappa to check the esn before purchase :/ , anyway I'd like to unlock the phone to use it with trac phone or simple mobile but I have no idea what programs to use or if it's even possible, I thank you for reading my issue and I appreciate any help that I could get because I know you guys are the best in the Biss

The phone is a friends who bought it for her son as a Christmas gift and Best Buy will not help her at all. No return, no help.
