Hi, i couldn't find any other forum where i could post for this. Can someone please help me unlock this phone? I'm a proud owner of Xperia X10, Samsung was for my brother and i'm not very familiar with it, i've never owned a Samsung before.
I've found an unlock method from fastgsm which i would have to pay about 20$. However recently i got into some money problems and even that otherwise small amount seems huge right now.
Is there a way to unlock it for free, or at least cheaper? Big thanks and sorry if this is a wrong forum for this kind of question.

Hello everybody, before i get to my point let me introduce myself.. i am a college student studying in Australia and i am of indian origin although have never stayed there due to parents being moved around in mnc from wen i am small. I just bought my s2 today and i am having some big software issues. The set i bought is from china as i am here on holiday.
Phone Details:
PDA:I9100XWKE7
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC:I9100XEUKD1
I did a factory reset right after buying as i was hoping to rid of these chinese apps but that was no good.. Then i tried to download some android apps from android market but phone saying not recognized. i deleted and syncd my google account 3 times but to no use. PS. i cannot find a default android market app icon on my phone as well..
Can anyone please shed some light about my specific phone and what i must do to get it working to its full potential.. simple google, weather apps is not all i am hoping for.. I love being part of online communities for all my electronics such as my ps3, blackberry and alienware but i am very very new to android and smartphones but i am willing to learn as much as i can. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much folks!

Hello All, (and Eugene), I am happy to be a part of XDA now, I've been reading the forums for quite awhile trying to learn. I'm self-taught and most of this still reads like greek to me. I've been trying to root my phones for over a year. I'm tired of buying expensive phones that takes no time to mess up then the yahoo's (not the website..lol) send me refurbished phones even if its been only a couple of weeks. Anyway if anyone is here in the Atlanta GA area I'd be willing to pay to get my phone rooted and install a new ROM. I've bought countless apps only to not be able to use them because of now room. Hello all, I work at a laptop/pc repair shop. We want to add to our services phone unlocking. One important thing is to make sure it is done at a professional level, without relocks after update (like many free iphone unlocking soft cause). for my own phone, for exmple, for Sony Ercsson or Samsung, I would use Wotan, but is this the way to go at a shop level? Would I have a separatepiece of soft for each brand, or do I strike a deal with each operator? We want to do as wide a range of phones as possible, and if it comes down to purchasing credits or so, we would be prepared for bulk. I would appreciate any bit of serious advise. Thanks mates.

Would anybody be kind to tell me what root app i should use and what are the process since i dont know much about programing! I am writing here since my phone is using a vpn and kinda slow at the moment! Thx alot hope to have news and be part of this community!
