Lately I have discovered that the auto app update is not working.
After some googling, I cleared the cache and data of play store and google play services.
But then, the update tab and installed tab in play store stays loading
And I find out that all my purchases like some substratum themes, and pro version of apps, are asking me to pay again
What have I done wrong?
I have tried removing my google account and login again
Still no luck
My phone is 8.1.0 rooted with magisk and newest xposed installed
Just tried even if I choose to pay again.
The app won't install saying installation error
Can anyone help?
Flash the latest full January update - you can try with removing the -w from the flash-all.bat but I wouldn't count on that solving the problem. If it doesn't solve the problem, try it with the -w inside the flash-all.bat and start all fresh. I would bet $1 that the Play Store works correctly and that your purchases are intact.
Try this all before rooting/modding/installing TWRP or anything first. If the problem happens again only after you do what you do to mod the phone, then it's something you're doing/using.
Make sure you have the latest adb/fastboot direct from Google for any of your modding from your PC and for flashing the full January update.
Good luck! Let us know how it works out.

Tried without -w yesterday, no luck
Really hate doing factory reset, even with titanium backup
Edit: Problem solved after flashing with -w

I tried 6 times. During the process, about 7seconds after"installing" it always get back this error No idea what to do
Try clearing data for play store app
I made another factory reset and left all settings by default(location, positioning, bug sharing etc... ) and didn't restore apps from backup. I have manually then started Waze installation in play store and all went okay...
problem is somewhere between backup restore or some settings on initial startup I have unticked on first and second time... If my memory is good, I have disabled google now and anonymous sharing of something...

tested again. It was definitely conflict with some app. I have restored factory again and untick Google Location service and anonymouse data reporting and installed Waze then. All good.
Definitely problem with some of my 64 installed apps.. let's see how it behaves now. Interesting thing is that I tried installation in Safe Mode and it didnt work. So conflict is not causing any running app but something installed before

I cant install Sygic after Waze installation. Seems it is this already reported bug https://code.google.com/p/android-developer-preview/issues/detail?id=1668
when will it be fixed? Any way to use both apps meanwhile??
Waze not launching properly/completely (no errs) on fresh factory flash. Worked fine on Preview.
Sygic/Waze permission
I'm facing the same problem. I have installed Sygic first and then Waze installation from Play Store failed with 505 error.
(Had a complete wipe of my Nexus 5 before A5.0 installation so nothing to uninstall left).
I have tried to force the install with adb install -r com.waze.apk but received the error, again:
pkg: /data/local/tmp/com.waze.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DUPLICATE_PERMISSION perm=pioneer.permission.appradio.ADVANCED_APPMODE pkg=com.sygic.aura_voucher]

Hi!
I'm also having problem installing Waze.
Did a factory reset and restored all the apps but Waze didn't install.
Now I can't install Waze from Plays Store, getting the "-505" error.
Hope Waze can fix this on their end, really don't want to reset the phone ones again....

I tried installing a previous version of waze (3.78), and I got the same error. I remember hearing something about the signature on the file being used by another app and thus causing a conflict. Has anyone found a reasonable workaround? Really would like to get waze up and running.
I'm not sure if this is a Oneplus One problem or just an android problem in general but I'm having absolutely no luck anywhere and I've tried everything short of a reset so I hope this is ok to post here.
I recently updated to CM12S. I was trying someone's advice of wiping Google Play Services data and re-updating in order to fix a battery bug, but after I reset the data, I get error code -501 in the Play Store when I try to update the app. I've already tried restarting phone, and wiping cache from a bunch of services. I've reinstalled the Play Store, and rebooted multiple times as well.
I tried to install via apk, but it fails and says "App not installed".
Does anyone know what else I could try? Thanks
So I was working fine on Marshmallow MMB29K, rooted, with Xposed, and Franco Kernel r78. Google Wallet was installed and working fine. Just sent money with it yesterday. I kept getting messages my device was low on space which made no sense since I don't have many very large apps and not many pictures. I discovered my device was suffering from the Bug that Google still hasn't fixed where 32 GB devices only show 16 gb of storage. I had to reflash to the stock recovery over TWRP and then do a Factory reset on the device to get Android to see my other 16 GB of space. So since I had to do this anyway when I reflashed the stock recovery, I just went ahead flashed MMB29S build to have the latest security updates. Rebooted device, did a factory reset, and then verified all my space was showing up in the new MMB29S installation. Restored all my apps via the play store and restored backed up data for some of the apps from my Titanium Backup. Finally, go everything back in order with the exception of Google Wallet. I am now on MMB29S with SuperSU 2.66 flashed, Xposed and Franco kernel re-installed and working good. For whatever reason Google Wallet will not install on my device. It downloads fine from the Play Store but fails the install with error (-506), Google Wallet could not be installed.............and then displays a very unhelpful troubleshooting link. I have tried to download the latest Google Wallet apk, version 12 via apkmirror and manually install it, but that install fails saying my device doesn't have enough free space! WTH? I"m currently using only 9 of 26.x gb. I tried clearing data and cache for the Play Store app, but that didn't help. All other apps install just fine. I also tried uninstalling the Xposed Installer app and disable SuperSu via it's GUI. (I don't think this is the issue because the app should install fine, just might have issues working with root). I REALLY do not want to do a full unroot since I just got everything else working, as I don't think this is going to fix the installation issue I'm seeing. I can find no trace of error -506 via a google search. Any idea how to fix this and get Google Wallet to install on my device? I'm about ready to pull my hair out on this one.
In case anybody else runs into this issue, I was able to resolve it by using root explorer to browse to the data/data folder from root and located the folder for the Google Wallet app. After deleting that folder I was able to successfully re-install wallet from the play store. Must have been caused by a failed Titanium backup data restore or something.
Hi,
Just got my OnePlus 6 yesterday and I'm already having an issue with it. As of today, I cannot download or update apps from the Play Store. They are just perpetually stuck in the "Downloading" state (screenshot below). I'm also getting the "Google Play Services won't run unless you update Google Play Services" notification from time to time. I've cleared cache and data, reset app preferences, and manually downloaded the latest Google Play Services APK, but it's still having the same problem. I've read guides that suggest uninstalling Play Services updates, then updating it again, but it isn't showing up in the device administrators list so I can deactivate it before I do that.
My phone is rooted through Magisk and has the bootloader unlocked.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Update: Gmail is not showing new emails. Not sure if this is related or not.
Sounds like a factory reset is in order.

Should I do that from settings, or use wipe in TWRP?

I believe u have to wipe in twrp and reflash.
Just do factory wipe in twrp. You should be fine then. If not, then follow link for better help https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6-t3796665

Did you download the correct version of Google Play Services since you manually downloaded it? I've seen this if you've installed the incorrect version of Google Play Services on the device.

Uninstall or disable the google app.
That fixed it for me.
Let me know if that works.
Hello Everyone!
All of a sudden today my trusty old Galaxy S5 DUOS phone started throwing the Google Services Framework has stopped error.
I have tried all guides I've been able to find on this and it says to go in under the App settings and clear all the data, but when I try this it crashes.
I can't get into the Play Store to check for updates either.
Is there a way to fix this? Update framework and store by a TWRP flashable zip or something like that?
Any help that you can offer would be much appreciated!
I could try to backup everything and then flash with Lineage OS or something similar in the way of a more modern OS but I can't say I'm crazy about the idea. It would take a VERY long time to do so the best thing would be if one could "just" fix the problem at hand without needing a full reinstall.
The phone is rooted with SuperSU and has TWRP recovery installed on it.

Did you use root permissions to remove or disable any system apps? If so, you may have disabled/uninstalled a system app that relies on Google Services to work, this would cause the "Services framework has stopped" error. Re-enabling or reinstalling the app or apps would fix the issue.
But....
First, try booting into TWRP then select the "Wipe" option, then select "advanced wipe", then select ONLY the cache partition and the dalvik cache, then swipe the slider to initiate the wipe. When you reboot the device, try seeing if you can use Playstore to update your Google apps, you may have to update more than one of them.
If that doesn't work, you can try downloading the most up to date Gapps.zip for your specific architecture and flash it in TWRP, wipe cache partition and dalvik partition(DO NOT FACTORY RESET IN TWRP) after flashing the Gapps.zip then reboot into system.
If that doesn't work, you may have to flash your stock firmware, this will remove root and TWRP, you'd have to root the device again and install TWRP again. If you flash the firmware, make sure to use the HOME CSC to preserve your user data during the flash.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, but I tried all of it and it did nothing to help the situation. HOWEVER, I started looking at DeGoogling the phone and putting in MicroG instead, and one of the steps in the process was putting in Magisk (instead of SuperSu) ...
When I got to removing the Xposed Framework ... and rebooted the phone, it optimized all the apps on the phone, and then.... booted, no crashing Google Play Framework anymore, I could run Play Store and update my apps - everything....
SO.... Xposed Framework caused the Google Play Framework to crash constantly (all of a sudden)??

Thank you very much for the in-depth and very helpful instructions on how to get the phone working again, however as you can see in the reply further down I managed to get it back to working properly again by... as I understand it -- removing SuperSU and the Xposed Framework.
After I did this and rebooted the phone it started optimizing all the apps of the phone and then ... everything worked as normal again. But I have printed out the instructions/suggestions you gave me for future reference if I happen upon something similar. So once again Thank You very much!

You should be able to have root and Xposed and use the device without issues. There is a way to make it all work together, you just need to figure out exactly why the issue was occurring.
Everything seems to be rock solid right now after uninstalling Xposed Framework (same thing happening on my mom's Samsung Tab S which also had Xposed Framework installed)... I used it mainly to remove the ads on Youtube, and since Youtube Vanced came into existence.... I don't really need Xposed anymore. So all is good
