[Q] Micromax A70 Video Call

I have just got the micromax a70 android phone (ver. 2.2.1). It has front facing camera but not the videocall feature, due to (according to me) lack of support of video call in android 2.2.1. Could anyone please describe me the procedure to upgrade this device to 2.3 ( Custom ROM ) or could there be workaround which could be used to enable video calling in the phone.
If Custom ROM is not possible. Could anyone provide any third part software which will enable video calling in android? (HTC android phone running 2.2 support video call due to HTC customisation)
Could Such A Customisation Be Possible For The Micromax A70
Ya even i am in a confusion to buy this phone as this doesn't have a video calling option so i want to know weather there is any update to come by for this phone or as A60 was a variant of ZTE Penguin, Is this phone also some kind of variant ? So that we can at least get Cyanogen Mod for that Variant...
hi
Let me tell you one thing direct video call is not possible in Android whether you have 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3.
You can do video calls only through internet. try these apps - skype, fring, tango... all are free apps. you can find it from market.
Re
Can the android kernel be modified to support video calls?
I mean a custom android kernel.
I am able to video call using fring with this phone now!
and it works flawlessly
can you pls share the experiences with your phone

Hi
Try enabling video calling in skype setting ( from androidos.in/2011/08/skype-adds-video-calling-support-for-more-android-devices/ ), and let us know if this works. Additionally, I am interested to know if 3g video call works on this.
Thanks.

Well yeah, there is a short delay when switching between the multiscreen apps but as long as you are aware of it it's not really that big a deal.
No one knows yet if a future update will solve this issue or not and only time can tell, again if you are aware of the delay it's actually not a problem.
Any other problems, well it depends on what you consider to be a problem, check out the various reviews that are available all over the Internet and make your own decision if there are problems or not.
Yes, today the number of apps that support the multiscreen feature is limited.
Again only time will tell if more apps will support multiscreen, if I'm not misstaken Samsung will provide an API (or SDK) to allow other developers to adopt their apps to be multiscreen compatible.

Galaxy K Zoom Nougat???

Guys, a way to install a custom Android Nougat to our Galaxy K Zoom with the Camera's native application ???
Well, I would be glad, if we would at least have an Android 5.x Version !!!
Well, is there still nobody, who can please port a Lollipop version at least to the Samsung K Zoom ?
I really would need to use the new Youtube App, that supports faster playback and that only works on at least Android 5.x...
PLEEEEAAASE... Many thanks in advance.
No one seems to be listening here.
However there is some discussion on the topic next door:

Hope it helps. All getting a bit technical for me...

Hello, I am asking the forum, having not found news, if with Android 10 and the latest update of the ZenFone 6, there is still the possibility of recording the native calls. Thanks, sorry for my english.
