Well yeah, there is a short delay when switching between the multiscreen apps but as long as you are aware of it it's not really that big a deal.
No one knows yet if a future update will solve this issue or not and only time can tell, again if you are aware of the delay it's actually not a problem.
Any other problems, well it depends on what you consider to be a problem, check out the various reviews that are available all over the Internet and make your own decision if there are problems or not.
Yes, today the number of apps that support the multiscreen feature is limited.
Again only time will tell if more apps will support multiscreen, if I'm not misstaken Samsung will provide an API (or SDK) to allow other developers to adopt their apps to be multiscreen compatible.

Help, WHat should I use to record my HTC's screen!!

Hi,
I want to do a screen recording of Windows mobile 6.5 on my HTC, but I cant find any good software.
I've tried some software but the framerate is around 4fps, and I'm not sure whether that is due to my activesync connection.
If it is, how else could I record the screen.
Is there an app to record from the HTC to a SD card?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.
Thank You

If you dont mind to spend a few dollars use this Pocket Controler:
http://www.soti.net/
For me is the best app for this porposes
I agree ! SOTI is so far the best one
+1 Soti
it also has tons of features, as you can see your registry, tasks, processes.
and record video of your phone.
which is great if you want to show off a theme, you can make a video instead of making numerous pics.
Please post Questions in the Q&A Section. Thread Moved.
Agree SOTI is deffinetly best choice for recording device & more.
I also use Snagit as allows me to capture comp screen and device... & so much more....
I think you might have to post some other of screen recording software for some kind of choices...

Via ADB / Android Studio / App Depending on ROM or GPU.
Dunno how far your device is but there are several ways to approach on this: For others who got KitKat ROMs or non Tegra devices THIS has been helpfull and could be a free alternative.
Cheers.
Which apps have you already tried?
Depends... On your device and KitKat ROM

All of them on OmniRom for TF101. But that's something different guess. You will have to try on you own.
OmniRom is based on Timdurus KatKiss guess. There I had the same issues. I don't kno what you ROM is
based on. But as closer as it is to the Stock Nexus5 and higher are the chances to get a nice video.
Cheers.

a NEVER-solved-problem: SMS encoding/decoding or character set

Hi,
This is a great great problem in my country without a solution yet:
Turkish characters are not shown in the recieved SMSs. Instead of them only a space there.
For example:
written by another phone and sent to android: "yoğurt yiyorum şu anda"
the recieved message: "yo urt yiyorum u anda"
The phones which are bought from Turkey and not flashed a custom rom don't have this problem.
They (actually, all the phones those are sold here, in Turkey) have an expression on their boxes: “This device is in accordance with ETSI TS 123.038 V8.0.0 (or the code of the subsequent version) and ETSI TS 123.040 V8.1.0 (or the code of the subsequent version) technical features that include all the Turkish characters.”
I think, the custom ROMs are not in accordance with these standards.
I have two android phones at the moment: a Galaxy Spica i5700 (bought from Turkey), and a Nexus S (which I bought from US).
Spica had the Turkish characters first. But I have rooted and flashed the phone, so lost the characters. Since I don't have the original ROM, I can not get them back...
Until here, I tried to describe the problem.
Now I will give what I have that can help to solve the problem:
1- ETSI links: They are not the exact versions but the closest that I could find.
ETSI TS 123 038 V8.3.0
ETSI TS 123 040 V9.2.0
2- An Original Turkish ROM: it's for Galaxy S i9000
http://www.multiupload.com/ZCLE3EOPWH (it's a PIT file)
It will be a great favor if anyone can solve this problem...
Thanks in advance,
Erkam

I think you are possibly doing this in the wrong area. I think that if you want traction with a change like this, that you would need to do one of three things.
1) Contact maintainers or on the boards of a ROM you like to use (Cyanogen, etc)
2) Try to get it noticed by Google on their official Bug Tracker and Feature Request Tracker for support in stock Android OS
3) Code the fix yourself, Cyanogen source and "AOSP" stock android are available, and introducing character-set capabilities into the messaging app aren't exactly trivial things, however, with time and dedication I am sure it is possible.
I agree that foreign character coding out of stock Android isn't always there, or if it is, it isn't universal across all of the stock applications (like your example of SMS/Messaging application). Does this do this also in GoogleVoice? Or maybe you don't have access to Google Voice since you are outside of the US.
First, I want to thank you a lot for spending your time to answer
I tried your second advice but did not get a solution, yet. Still waiting.
I wanted to try the 3rd one too, actually. But I need to gain more computer/coding skills to achieve that. I could not even find an understandable guide to learn (or maybe I am too noob to understand).
So, the remaining advice is the first one and I am going to take it immediately
As you said, since I am outside of the US, I do not have access to Google Voice, unfortunately.
But, if it is ok for you, I can send a message to your google voice to check it.
by the way, ofcourse, it is not only a problem of Turkey, but also Spain, France etc.. I could not find a solution in their forums, neither.
Thanks again, for your help.

[Q] Navigating with the Samsung Galaxy Note in landscape?

Hi Guys,
I´m thinking really hard now about buying myself the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, what I really need it for as wel, is navigating in a hopefully relaxing way. Over the years I grew fond of working with the TomTom Navigation software on my Windows devices (the HTC HD2 is now my latest), but untill now (as far as I know), TomTom has no real navigation software purely for the Android devices. So, I stumbled on to the "SYGIC" navigation software and started reading about it.
I read that SYGIC could give "some problems" on the Galaxy Note, but fortunately, I recently read (I forgot where) that people are working with it now on their Note flawlessly with the latest SYGIC upgrade. Also I read, that the Note could not navigate in "Landscape", wich I'm very sorry to find. However, could anyone please tell me if this is because the Note is not simply able to, or is it just the navigation software itself? In that case, could anyone tell me if "SYGIC" is able to navagate in "landscape" on this device, or, for that matter, can anyone tell me wich navigation software DOES navigate in "landscape" on the Galaxy Note?
And last but not least: if the Galaxy Note is NOT able to let you navigate in "landscape", are you guys familiair allready with some kind of a "patch" or procedure, that could solve this problem? I know that I had the same problem with my HTC HD2 at the time, but then I found a piece of sofware that made the TomTom software navigate in "landscape" as well.
I hope to hear from you soon; Thank you!
(My appologies for my poor English!)

I can't speak specifically for the Note, but I have an S2 and it allows rotation in the native navigation app. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't work on the Note. Also, if it doesn't then that's down to the app, not the device (assuming of course that the Note does support rotation ))
There's app(s) available on the market that force specific rotation for specific apps - that may be helpful for you. I'll have a look and see if I can find one.
Edit: This will do the trick...
https://market.android.com/details?id=AutomateIt.mainPackage
You can set specific things to happen on specific events, the one in question being your navigation app running. You can make it enable rotation when the app runs. I was hoping you could force orientation with it, but you can't. Still definitely worth a shot.
Thank you for your reply. I'll remember this link for the moment I'll have my Note...

[Q]Two APN`s simultaneously

Hi to all,
First of all, please forgive me my bad english. Spelling and grammatical errors are not my purpose .
I´m using a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Jellybean 4.1.1
I`ve searched many forums over google and i found out, that two active apn´s won`t work. On my older mobiles (for example Nokia E Series with Symbian or others) it worked.
With the Apps on these older phones, i could had tell them to access a specific apn (no matter which apn was really active).
So it was possible to connect to my company mails/intranet and at the same time to the standard apn to browse my private mails etc.
On my S3 I have to switch the APN´s manually and it annoys me more an more
The reason why my company has an own apn is...i dont know . Maybe it is because, that there is no SSL Security for this apn. Anyway it only works with two seperate apn´s. And the Nokia Phones managed that all right. Please dont get me wrong. I am away from nokia and i dont regret it.
I felt in love with my Samsung GSIII .
But this is really disturbing my daily working routine. I have tried out a lots of switching widgets and similar things from the PlayStore but it is only a minor improvement and it doesn`t solve the problem itself.
Is there a way, like mods or something other developed, which can help me ?
Best regards
Markus

Galaxy K Zoom Nougat???

Guys, a way to install a custom Android Nougat to our Galaxy K Zoom with the Camera's native application ???
Well, I would be glad, if we would at least have an Android 5.x Version !!!
Well, is there still nobody, who can please port a Lollipop version at least to the Samsung K Zoom ?
I really would need to use the new Youtube App, that supports faster playback and that only works on at least Android 5.x...
PLEEEEAAASE... Many thanks in advance.
No one seems to be listening here.
However there is some discussion on the topic next door:

Hope it helps. All getting a bit technical for me...
