I'm new on this forum so I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or if anyone can point me in the right direction
I recently rooted my s8, I did it through Odin and used TWRP and just followed steps because I didn't like the look of the one click root things
Now I'm not sure how to update firmware with a rooted phone, I've heard of flashfire but also read it's a little bit temperamental on Samsung phones and I'm just not sure of the process of how to update while rooted if you even can, any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not familiar with rooting enough to risk playing around too much. I've read and saw that SuperOneClick used to root the Samsung Conquer but, as of some latest updates pushed through by Sprint, it no longer works. I've tried anyway and it causes SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0 to go to (not responding) at Step #7. I'd like to know if this can be done and if so can someone point me toward some instructions on how to do it. Thanks.
After an earlier failed attempt I managed with some help from here to get back to a stock rom and then upgrade it through KIES
However don't want to give up here and still want to get the tablet rooted as easily and safely as possible. So have a few questions - not looking for detailed answers but perhaps someone can point me to the right article
I have a Galaxy TAB2 10.1 WiFi only GT-P5100
I am currently running Android 4.1.1
Can someone point me to step by step instructions which will just root my tablet without changing the current version I am on - Ideally I dont want added steps to install an earlier version
No need to reply thanks - I ran CF-Auto root which I had tried before but it failed previously because I had accidently downloaded the 3 g version
this time it ran perfectly exactly as it should and have just verified that my tablet is now ROOTED in the end I followed these instructions as they were easier to follow http://www.teamandroid.com/2012/12/...01-p5110-android-411-404-official-firmware/2/ but I did check first that they seemed to correspond with what I could find on here as well - I felt more confident with this site because it said it would update from 4.1.1
So, i have been doing my research and found nothing for rooting this device. My question is, that it is a Verizon tab S2 but, can i change the boot img, or recovery to any other one to get root access. I don't mind loosing LTE because its on my shared data so i normally keep it turned off. If i flash with a stock rom that is not Verizon's would that work? if so what steps should i take, any information on this would be greatly appreciated. I have rooted and used CFW before on many of my phones, but with this tab s2 i don't want to go in the wrong direction without asking for a bit of help and knowledge first. Thanks everyone
Hello,
I've been trying to root my note edge for two days with no luck, I read a lot of guides and how tos but I end up with the two problem (either the phone keeps restarting, or it freezes at the android logo.
I would like to root my stock firmware, I don't want any custom rom or anything custom. please forgive me if I have said something that might not sound right, I am just a beginner meaning this is my first time rooting a device.
If someone could please take the time to guide me through the process to root my device and include the links for everything that needs to be downloaded.

Download UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550 put in phone memory, use trwp or cwr to root phone. Root works for 5.1.1 lollipop. Works on mines.

Like many other threads I have browsed through, I too am having issues with King Root rooting and then suddenly rebooting my phone. After a successful reboot in the midst of not even 30% complete of rooting being complete, it still says my phone is rooted until the reboot occurs. After the reboot, it says I am not rooted. So, I still assume that King Root still has no methods to root this model yet. However, I am dealing with two issues I was hoping to get someone with experience, expertise, or just very smart with rooting Android platforms.
1. I was wondering if there is a way to root this model whether it can be done with with or without a computer or laptop. King Root has now become a system application that I can't remove because I don't have root access. I've tried everything to get rid of it. It constantly on a daily basis notifies me that it's trying to or that I need to try to gain root access. I would not have any issue reverting back to original firmware as hard reset has done nothing.
2. Is there a different firmware (I prefer the most recent update) available for this model? I could live with reverting back to the original firmware when I bought the phone in July 2016 from Cricket Wireless. I am not able due to the hardware or software thinking I'm rooted or suspicious of rooting so the update won't process after downloading.
This is my first post. Sorry, if I seem like a newbie here. I just haven't found any relevant answers on Google or searching the forums for similar posts. If there is a way to root successfully, please provide links or some instructions on how to do so. If not, I hope someone can help me revert my firmware to the newest or factory bought. Anything to just get rid of King Root and I know and have already accomplished disabling KR for the time being despite doing hard reset twice already. Is it possible to replace firmware with a new ROM as well?
Thanks for your time and God bless.
