HUAWEI ASCEND G510 u8951-0100 ROMS & TWEAKs(NEW LEWA OS.V5)

Well ,i create that new tread because of that specific device HUAWEI U8951-0100.
Unlucky other that device they left it to die(...) EXCEPT DEVELOPERS around the world.
Please i don't want donate , exept if you find somthing really helpfull.
As i know there is mainly SEVERAL types of that model:
U8951-010,U8951-0100, AND U8951-0200 e.t.c
I THING ONLY U8951-0100 HAVE NO firmware U P G R A T E S
Can some one knows WHY?

.I tested works good. I am absolutely sure that ROMS is nicer AND FASTER rather than
VODAFONE ones.
Before of that you must already have unlocked boot loader (HUAWEI) official and a recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-u8951.img

If you have lite time you can uninstall (useless) apk by using link2sd or titaniumbackup.Both can uninstall system applications easily .

So is this just a official eng rom for the G510-0100 or is it a custom rom? how do i install it ? from dload folder o sd or can i use CWM?
If it is a stock rom will or is there any custom rom or is there going to be a Cyanogen port for the G510-0100?

Is a custom ROM.I installed via twrp version 2.5 or ,2.6( first post).
There is weekly updates for that ROM (china web) but I must do some modifications to Google installer for compatibility.
I will upload only critical rom updates(slow upload limited).
-THERE IS NO OFFICIAL UPDATE FOR THAT SPECIFIC MODEL...AND PROBABLY WILL NOT....FOR UNKNOWN REASONS...

You need a good file explorer (I use rootexplorer)
Aprox 10 minutes of time.
-extract zip to sdcard
-TURN OFF WIFI
-open root explorer go to /data/misc/
AND DELETE WIFI FOLDER
1 . FROM EXTRACTED FOLDER
COPY /LIB folder copy /paste all (4) files to -- /system/lib/ (and replace existing)
THEN GIVE THEM (4) , PERMISSION RW-R-R each (FROM EXPLORER SELECT PERMISSIONS)
2 .GO TO SYSTEM FOLDER: /SYSTEM/WIFI/ ON YOUR SYSTEM PARTITION AND DELETE ALL FILES/FOLDERS
3 .GO AGAIN TO zip EXTRACTED FOLDER and COPY/PASTE ALL STUFF FROM /WIFI FOLDER To -- /SYSTEM/WIFI/

Instractions.

2. unzip on your pc and move it to your sdcard.
3.from unzipped folder install PimpMyRom-alpha-3.3.1.apk
4.run it and go to tools / universal init.d support and just ACTVIVATE it. and then close program.
5.take second file 99SuperCharger and copy/paste on /system/etc/init.d folder (by rootexplorer)
6 reboot

This is a Leawa ROm from a China boy.Is from 23/7/13 Lewa update for g510-010 but works also for g510-0100.

In my opinion those roms have a lot of applications mated for China.That STUFF makes rom HAVY.

Compatibility

Well its not strange.Actually incompatibility exist on HUAWEI stock roms.
Now about custom rom it depends. Various custom rom can be compatible with ALL g510 (all versions).Frequently ,
boot.img causes problems (bootloops) or malfunction as (no network reception) because of wrong baseband.
All those problems can be solving but we must wait a lite bit.Now its very risky to change par-example radine wrong step
and mobile Hard/brick. Most important is unblocking FLASH DRIVE.Afterwords all it will be safer.
At list (but not last) a interesting OVERCLOCK.

I made a back up of my factory stock rooted b189 g510-0200 rom with twrp . if anyone needs it i can send them a link to my dropbox. its a very nice rom but you cant download it from anywhere cause huawei only have the old rom b173 on there web site. . this is the latest rom with huawei notification toggles enabled. if you have twrp you can just copy my back up to your sd card then restore with twrp. :good:

[...] All people that working on android devices spend all lot of time.I say that because a notice that there is some archive roms for g510-0100 (b196) etc.,THE IMPORTANT THING IN A F I R M W A R E U P D A T E is that upgrade or resolve critical low level routines(software- hardware configuration).
All the rest (system softawere) kernel e.t.c is match more easier to find solutions.
UNFORTUNATELY THE PROBLEM IS THAT WITH THOSE FLASH ROMS DOESN'T DO ANYTHING ON THAT DIRECTION.(this include ALL zip stuff (lewa).
There is a possibility to have (until December) a new JB 4.2.2 Official HUAWEI firmware up-grate.(WILL SEE).

G510 problem - screen turns off in call
Hello dear friends,
My new G510 has a problem,
My screen turns off while receiving calls or calling someone,
and I can't turn it back on, not with the touch screen nor power/volume keys.
I tried to change to CM10.2 - but no dual sim support, so I went back to stock rom.

So, like before...
This ROM is from my #phone, it was #modded by me and for now everything is working fine.
My version still #Kitkat #B370 but very diferent from Stock #ROM.
Please read all to understand and see what you need to do and how to do it!
The best things in this version is the data partition was increse from 2GB to 4GB and if you have a ext4 partition in your external sd card it will install the all apps there automatically!!!
Advantage of this? You will have a huge store space for the apps!!! And the "#low #storage #space" advise, you will never gonna see it!
If you don´t have it, it will work like default ROM.
To create a primary #ext4 partition in sd card with the size you want, you can use mini partition tool (for windows OS ).

This video shows how this ROM works with a external ext4 partition in sd card what means that all apps go to sd card and let internal storage free, the example shows how to create a 8GB partition but is to big...6GB i think will do the job:

Or create the partition and flash this ROM!
It have Rashr from #XDA, it is a app that easly can change/flash your recovery and do some other things.
When you flash this ROM it will create in your sd card a folder called recoverys, inside you will find #TWRP ( modde by me to ) and the default recovery.
How to use it? Open #Rashr, give root permissions, select recovery, search in explorer for sdcard1, open recoverys folder choose the one you want and flash and flash it! Is that simple.

If is your first time in this page start by unlocking your bootloader, if is already unlocked skipe this step:
STEP1: To Unlock the #bootloader, first try this site, but if you don´t have you need to create a account ( free ):

Be sure from the data you are inserting...
Now, with the code, use G6SKnife to install the drivers for Huawei, option ( d ) than turn off the phone, press volume - and power at same time, it will boot in bootloader mode, plug the usb cable, wait if is installing the phone, use G6SKinife again and use option 18, read what is in screen. If was done right the phone will reboot with factory reset and bootloader unlocked.
Step 2: You need B118 ROM #Firmware or a new one than B118 ( B119, B120, etc ) because old versions don´t let to install TWRP...
So lets flash B118:

Extract the dload folder to PC desktop, paste in external sd card and with the phone OFF, press the volume KEYS and power at same time, hold it, and release power on boot, if don´t turn ON release only power, than volume keys when flash starts.

Boot in bootloader ( must say unlocked in red ). Do you remeber how to do it? Turn off the phone, press vol - and power at same time! Plug the usb cable and execute the file you download!
It will reboot.
STEP4: The ROM!

Copy to sd card, DON´T UNPLUG THE USB CABLE, why?
Power off the phone, it will boot in TWRP!!!
Now go to install and flash the ROM!
READ ALL WHAT IS WRITE IN THE END OFF FLASH!!!
It will say to GO BACK TO TWRP MAIN MENU -> REBOOT -> ! RECOVERY!!!!!!!
You will go to FACTORY #RECOVERY!
Do a factory RESET!!!
I advise to use a cat10 extreme sd card - normally used for 4k movies and go to settings -> #STORAGE and change main storage to ->SD card.
Done!!!!

This ROM was edited to vodafone pt but can be changed to your provider.
When you flash it, if you are not from Portuguese Vodafone it will show a bootanimation that say " Change Cust after settings than do a factory reset ".
This is how to fix it with Root Browser, that you can find in ROM, go to folder /DATA and seek the custom.bin file, open it as a text file, you will see something such as example zt/rt, now we left the folder /DATA and go to the folder /CUST , we open it and we will find a folder with the name vodafone, we will change the name of it to the first name that we saw in custom.bin in our example will is zt, use small font, now we entered the zt folder and we will find another folder that his name is pt, let's switch to the second name of our exemple which will be rt, use small font!
Go back and exit the app, do a factory reset. Done!

On video you can see one of the advantages of external partition, factory reset or flash don´t delete the apps you have it in phone before, it will be installed in first boot! Some times it will take longer if you had to many apps.
The app on video is STORAGE SPACE, was in external partition like you will see on video, and was installed in flash!

I have been searching for a custom rom with repartitioned app storage for months. Trying it now

EDIT: There is one issue. Obb files or Game data are using phone storage instead of app storage. How do I fix this so that those files count as app data and don't cover my phone storage?

i dont know a fix. but there is another way: Use another launcher, for example Nova Launcher.

I just flashed this ROM and looks like it works perfectly!! I will check it for some days and report any possible bug.

1) What is inside
2) Should it be flashed in TWRP ?
3) Does this wipe the stock rom previously installed?
4) Is it necesary to wipe/format the previous installed rom?
5) Does this then enable us to flash the Huawei Server's UPDATE.APP via -DLOAD mode- ?
6) Does this work with dual sim variant ? with what variants does this works..

My english is not good , so Maybe something is not clear , but i try , this method it be simple , and can ask me if any thing is not clear ??
_ zip is nougat beta official , and instal twrb , no extract only download and move SD card then install I think is not working method Dload if on your device M.M, if you need try but before extract zip .
_Rom Nougat beta official was the experience of a copy of the Middle East, EVA-L19 Bkod state C185, but since it worked on this version is likely to work on the rest of the copies of the Middle East, EVA-L19 exclusively and 85%,& work with dual sim
This method does not lose files, preferably the factory reset after the update*?

How to Install B387 Update on Huawei P9
Step 1
1) First, download Huawei P9 B387 Update.zip from above and extract it.
2) Now create a folder dload in the root of your SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.
3) Now dial *#*#2846579#*#* from your phone dialer to open a hidden menu.
4) Now select Software Upgrade and start SDCard Upgrade.
5) Now select and run the update.
6) Wait until the installation process is complete and then reboot your device.
7) Done.
Step 2
1) Now download update_data_full_EVA-L09_hw_eu for Huawei P9 from above and extract it.
2) Now copy all data including update.app file in the dload folder.
3) Now dial *#*#2846579#*#* from your phone dialer to open a hidden menu.

After update, I have some problems, like :
a) ringtones and notifications sound cannot be change in the settings.

I do hardreset, but nothing changes.
I will try to install both programs again.

Hi friends,
the firmware B387 has got some big problems, like without changes of ringstone and themes, or without camera etc.
AND with some flashing problems like rollback, I could back now to MM (= L19C185B180) with the rollback firmware of C185. Then I flash to B220. After installing I received the information, that there is a new firmware like B385. I download and flash this. Now working my handy without any problems.
Friends, pls wait with flashing of B387 for L19C185. This firmware has got big problems. I cannot recommend this.

Is there any possibility to reflash B385 along with hw full data to downgrade from B387... Or long route of MM rollback package is must?

Hi m00miali: I tried, but without any success, therefore I went to the long way.

Sad it is

Follow hactic route... Rollback to MM... Re back to B387... Works fine now... Theme and calender present now

how u rollback to MM,which version u use and which method, please share

Just used recommended rollback package... Transition key to B900 then flashed MM B220 via dload. Then directly to B387 via ff

Have you tried to remove system cache? I think that will fix it

No i tried before, the only thing work to rollback to MM then upgrade again to Nougat

you have 2 ways for that:
1. In twrp in backup section take a backup of oeminfo and zip it then share here.
2. With root explorer copy files :
custom.bin from :
data/custom.bin
oeminfo from:
dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo
then download this zip and extract it:

Hello Axan, does this PRA-LA1C185 version support dual sim and 64GB of storage like the Chinese version PRA-AL00XC675? so I know only the Indian version PRA-AL00XC675 64gb and 4gb ram memory, same as the Chinese version PRA-AL00XC00, can you confirm me this?

Hello Axan, let me explain better. I have the Chinese version (PRA-AL00XC00) with 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage and it's also dual sim. I would like to switch to the Indian version (PRA-AL00XC675) which has the same technical specifications as the Chinese version, but the Indian version is better because it has google apps installed in the factory. I researched some forums and read that the PRA-LA1C185 only has 3GB of memory and 16GB of storage, is this true? if it's true then will I have a problem if I switch to the PRA-LA1C185 rom?

I have an original PRA-AL00X (chinese 64GB storage /4GB RAM ) and I'd like to have the Google Play store.
I downgraded it from build PRA-AL00X 8.0.0.339(C00) to PRA-AL00XC00B223 and unlocked the bootloader (using DC-Unlocker) but i didn't flash any custom recovery for now.
I understood that the Indian ROM has the (google) Play Store.
But as I'm french, is it possible to put an european oeminfo and rebrand my Honor 8 lite as an european one and then put an european ROM?
