Call audio problem - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a G920F currently running rooted stock 7.0 and there seems to be some sort of a problem with call audio. The other side sometimes can't hear me. It's not microphone's fault. When I record the call I can hear myself and the other person but during the call my voice is choppy or non-existent.
With a headset everything works fine.
I also tested it on custom roms and on NexusOS 8.1 it works like nothing ever happened. The problem occurs on stock based roms.

[Q] Call Audio Issue - I can't Hear Calls

Please help me with this strange issue. When I RECEIVE calls, everything is fine. When I MAKE calls, they can hear me, but I can't hear them. No audio. My audio on my phone works for everything else. I have bluetooth off and I don't use a headset. It's not a hardware issue because everything works fine when I'm on Gingerbread. When I flashed my ROM, I erased cache and did a wipe. I've re-flashed several times. I've also tried several different ROMS. I'm on Avatar now. I was on Beanstalk before. I'm seeing this issue on both ROMS. Jellybean and Kitkat, I'm seeing this issue. I hate to go back now that I've experienced then new OS. Please advise. Any ideas? Could this be a modem issue?

[Q] [NS4G] Bluetooth outgoing call issue

This happens only on outgoing calls on bluetooth (car audio): I can hear the person on other side talking, but that person cannot hear me. I switchover to handset or speakerphone and switch back to bluetooth, and the problem goes away. Both parties can hear each other and call proceeds without a problem.
This problem does not occur on incoming calls at all. I pick up using the button on car audio and the conversation happens without an issue.
The exact same issue occurs on all the builds I have tried: CM10.1 (both stable and nightly), Slimrom 4.2, Slimrom 4.3 nightly, Aditya's CM11 (tried at least 3 builds, currently running his build 12).
I did not see any mention of this by anybody else. Am I alone in facing this issue?
I have used both an android phone and a windows phone earlier on this car audio and this issue did not show up on those.
Thanks, folks. I would really love to fix this and continue to use this wonderful phone for a few more years!
It gets crazier
I just got my hands on a Sprint Galaxy Nexus (toroplus):
Weird: This exact issue (bluetooth outgoing call does not grab my side of the conversation until I switch the call to speaker/handset and back to bluetooth) happens on all the builds of CM10.2, CM11 and Slimkat.
Weirder: This DOES NOT happen on 4.3 stock rom (JWR67B) version of the software. I am unable to try and load stock rom to NS4G, so haven't tried this trick with that.
Weirdest: Now that I have isolated the problem to the CM (or its derivates in slim version), how is it even POSSIBLE that I am the only one experiencing this? I cannot find any mention of this issue anywhere in the net. Unfortunately, both my bluetooth receivers are the exact same model: pioneer DEH-4500BT. However, the fact that Galaxy nexus stock rom (and earlier phones, like Samsung Prevail or Lumia 521) work flawlessly deflects any suspicition on the DEH-4500BT's part.

Voice call problems on Darkobas

Hello!
I have installed Darkobas ROM, but I have a problem with voice calling. When I am doing this, most of the time person on the other side is hearing his own voice, or I am getting this. If other side is not hearing echo, they complain about my microphone quality.
Flashed all baseband that i could find, was trying changing Fluence in build.prop, changing kernel to Lightning, but 0 effects.
The problem is not always persisting, but in like 8/10 situations.
Microphone was working flawlessly before upgrading from 4.4 to 6.0.

Low microphone volume / not working

Hi, I've got some kind of problem with my Mi4c microphone. During calls no one can hear me if I don't use the loudspeaker option, and when I try to record something it's really quiet. I've tried stock ROM, cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13.1. Does anyone know what may be causing it? And what's the fix? Thanks in advance.
same problem
I have same problem to, i've try to change microphone with other, but it still same..
Please help thus isue...
Same problem with me. My partner couldn't hear my voice when we made video call with facebook, hangout, duo etc. But using line working normally
Same problem here. It started after updating CM 13.1 TS to version 20161007.
It looks like other phones are having the same problem, so I guess it's not an mi4c specific issue... As for Skype, 7.00.0.655 works. See https://community.skype.com/t5/Android/Microphone-not-working-android/td-p/4417354/page/4
Extremely low microphone volume when doing Skype Echo call test on stock MIUI8, but works normally when calling somebody. Weird.

LineageOS 16: Crackling sound with voice messages on S7 (SM-G930F)

Hey,
I recently flashed LOS 16 (coming from LOS 14) in order to hopefully get rid of my crackling recording problem.
The problem unfortunately is still there. I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem.
Phone calls are completely fine, however, the microphone makes a really annoying crackling sound whenever I record voice messages or use any kind of voice recorder on my S7.
Perhaps someone has an idea about what I could do. I already did some research but nothing helped.
Is there a way to disable the onboard microphone and just use a headset whenever I want to record voice msgs or make calls?
I'd appreciate any input.
Ever tried updating your baseband?

Yesterday I flashed the newest Samsung firmware. Voice seemed to work in the stock rom. I then flashed LOS again and the "crackling" in voice recording is back again.
I'm not sure what updating my baseband entails (and I don't know how to do it, actually).
