Pls help me choose from these version types , As i am a native of INDIA and i used tol travel a lot to other foreign countries (UAE), which version will suite for me ??

HI, im in china, I bougth the chinese version I thought i would work well here because im stuck here for a while (years), but I didnt get PAY and most of the things I cant get are the chinese apps and it seems that I cant get other functions available for other regions.
I want to ask if some body can get "baidu maps" "alipay" and other apps like those in other countries cos im thinking to change the Code to see if my Watch will work better ?????

On the HTC site under select country I did see "Middle East & Africa" with three language choices on the right. Once chosen, hit support and choose device.
Is that what you mean? Your location is Iran? Middle East it would be.

I suppose you could on device go to.
Settings/System Tab/Version.
And see what rom is installed and search that rom version for region.

what's the difference between various letters after n915? i read about brand versions, so, I assume:
n915a - at&t version
n915s - sprint version
n915t - t-mobile version
but n915g, n915, n915f? is there also a verizon version or any other brand/no-brand shoud i become aware?
i come from an european no brand s4 gt-i9505, i'd like to buy a compatible (if possible no brand too) note edge.
and, another question, is there knox technology in this phone too? and if it is, can i root/flash/mod it without lost warranty?

You definitely don't want the Verizon version n915v.
T mobile and AT&T have gsm phones, but you'll have to look at which can be unlocked.
I would ask on the note 4 forums since it is similar and you'll get more views there.

Right now the only GSM version that has root (if you are buying a US carrier branded device), is the T-Mobile version.

So I received my Z5 today, a grey import from taiwan. Preinstalled on the device are a number of applications, that I've never seen on any other phone before. I'm unsure what language they're in, Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese even? The apps included but aren't limited to TVGO, Music Go! and Cyberon Voice manager. I also have this miscellaneous app that is simply asian characters which I do not understand. The apps are uninstallable, but I couldn't find much information about them online. I'm on build number is 32.0.A.4.11, which I believe is the latest official firmware? Screenshots attached below.

that is in chinese, unfortunately i cant read chinese lol. I wont say its malware and its expected to have some region's apps preinstalled.
Aside from that you can flash another stock rom through flashtool and use of xperifirm which will not contain these preinstalled apps.
I guess in Taiwan they may preinstalled apps (they think) which is helpful for the users.
It is like a "Information app", includes bus timetable, train ticket booking, weathers etc.
I dont have such app preinstalled in my phone (pre-ordered from Sony online store HongKong)

I'm guessing you're not an Asian user, correct? If not, do yourself a favor and flash one of the European stock firmwares. Mine came with the Belgian firmware which is pretty clean.
Probably some Lifestyle manager/app -- It's asking to update.
Hello Friends, I recently bought a s22 Ultra in the Netherlands to bring with me back to Brazil and I found out, when setting the phone up, still in europe that Samsung Pay would not open, it says it is not compatible with my phone
I am thinking of flashing a firmware from a different region, but I do not know which one will work

Ok, so I went ahead and decided to download multiple firmwares from S908B page on Samm website and after realizing they were all the same file (size was the same to the kilobit), I flashed only one to test, the BLE variant, which I believe is UK unbranded.
It did not work, Samsung pay was still unavailable. The thing that is funny, is that, my phone has a brazilian sim card, in brazil and it still register as EUX in the About Software section.
These multiple CSC firmwares are all registering as EUX in my phone, I dont know why.
Now I should Rephrase my initial question, which changed from is it safe to change firmware to:

There are Russian websites that have obscure firmware for cloned devices. Use a translator and post in those forums to get help finding a firmware that will work or can be made to work on your device. Cloned devices don't really have true support here at XDA, most users here focus on flagship and upper tier mid ranged devices.
There may also be a way for you to install a Linux or Ubuntu OS on the device to replace the stock firmware.
You need to see about opening the device to verify what motherboard and CPU series it actually has because you can't always trust that the installed software is showing the correct information.
