what's the difference between various letters after n915? i read about brand versions, so, I assume:
n915a - at&t version
n915s - sprint version
n915t - t-mobile version
but n915g, n915, n915f? is there also a verizon version or any other brand/no-brand shoud i become aware?
i come from an european no brand s4 gt-i9505, i'd like to buy a compatible (if possible no brand too) note edge.
and, another question, is there knox technology in this phone too? and if it is, can i root/flash/mod it without lost warranty?
thanks in advance
...well i guess i was right don't buying it.

many thanks, useful and friendly users!
You definitely don't want the Verizon version n915v.
T mobile and AT&T have gsm phones, but you'll have to look at which can be unlocked.
I would ask on the note 4 forums since it is similar and you'll get more views there.

Right now the only GSM version that has root (if you are buying a US carrier branded device), is the T-Mobile version.
http://samsungrumors.net/samsung-galaxy-note-edge-variants-availability/ - this will show you the other variants besides the US

Okay, I have searched for several weeks and would like a recommendation.
I currently have a Kaiser (AT&T Tilt). I have tried several ROMs with the phone over the past few years, but I clearly need to replace my phone. I live in an area that practically eliminates having any carrier other than AT&T or Verizon. The service with Sprint & T-Mobile is terrible.
I would like a phone running Android. I have tried the Kaiser port and enjoyed using it more than any ROM I have tried. I am fully aware that this poses a problem, as neither AT&T or Verizon currently have an Android phone.
As far as I know, I have three options ...
Purchase a T-Mobile phone (G1 or MyTouch) and use it on AT&T, giving up any hope of using the 3G network.
Purchase the Google Dev phone and use it on AT&T, again giving up any hope of using the 3G network.
Purchase a Rogers G1, pray for a root kit, and hope that it works correctly on AT&T's networks.
Is there anything I am missing? I'd really like to upgrade in the near future, but as far as I see I'm between a rock and a hard place.

But you can always buy it from overseas

That is the W8 model they reviewed. (Canada only model)
Would that have something to do with it? I don't keep up on all the bands/frequencies that all the carriers all over use.
I really was hoping the S6 would move away from all these region specific models since they are managing the radios on their soc with Broadcom now.
You almost have to buy an iPhone if you travel internationally a lot. I don't know of any other phone that has everything covered by the radio.

The Sony Z3 sold in Taiwan has most world bands on it of LTE.
Samsung and HTC suck at this. They should at least release an international model on their own website for those who do not mind forking out full price to get an unlocked model with most LTE Bands for those travel often.
Still just GSM though right?
I thought the iPhone covered much more than that. Maybe I'm wrong..
I'm a new user so I can't yet post links, but you can easily find the link on the GearBest website if you search for "Mi Mix 3".
In the product "Tips" description it claims that the phone is unlocked for worldwide use. Not particularly sure what they mean by that because I was under the assumption that the international version was not yet available. I'm wondering if this version on Gearbest is any different from the ones currently sold on AliExpress by the Mi Global Store.
I've never bought a Xiaomi phone before so I'm a little confused about the difference between the Mi Mix 3 versions currently available and this international version that is yet to come.
It most likely just means the phone works on all networks, its not carrier locked or missing important bands.
I don't think there is a difference between the other sellers and gear best, most likely the international version will have exactly the same bands if not very slightly different.

Ahh I see. Yeah I believe you're right. I noticed someone asked a question on the GearBest page about the phone having google services and the seller responded saying it didn't, so it's probably the normal Chinese ROM it seems.
This is for the 256gb 8 and 10gb ram

Have you tried following the guides?
Safely convert regions (includes T-Mobile) as well as restore the ability to use OOS12 after using Indian MSM to recover from a brick (Windows only)
It seems lots of us have had to use the India 9 Pro MSM to recover our devices and in the process, we lose the ability to go back to OOS12 or ROMs based on that firmware because the touchscreen stops working and also trying to convert T-Mobile...

Oh my God. This got interesting.
What the hell is going on here?!!!
Its clearly a stolen phone.
I wonder how though. Why did the OP use the 2nd guy's photo from Facebook, and how did the 2nd guy come to know about it? Looks to me they were both looking for the same solution for the same phone.
Its probably the same person. Zgenumem is also a brand new member.
Hey OP you cant unlock it without running out your tmobile contract, but since you dont have tmobile that doesnt matter.
You can convert it to global A11, but there is zero way you can get it sim unlocked without tmo.
I found these in the stock rom of the SM-T280 and SM-T285 tablets.
inside /system/media there are 4 files, I have attached a zip from the SM-T280.
I also made some videos of the animations:
SM-T280:
SM-T285:
These sounds sound like something out of a knock off phone... Why are they on these tablets???
Remnants?
One said that these were from China Mobile... but how did they leave them in 2 TABLETS?
IMO you should ask China Mobile and/or Samsung this question.

How can I ask China Mobile or Samsung a question about a long discontinued product
Another possibility is to ask Google Bard your question.
Looks like there was supposed to be CMCC 3G and LTE variants of this tab at one point...?
And yes, CMCC's branding is cringe. That particular LTE logo got widely copied by knockoff Androids later, hence your impression.
