How to devrand from Bln-l24(Us Version) to European version. - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

According to many people the honor 6x has an nfc chip but is locked on regions other than the European region. So how would I go about debranding my phone?

You will not get , i have already tried this...... But you can go... May b i did wrong somewhere....

You can debranding following this guide - https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-successful-debranding-to-bln-t3701050 - but as reported by users on that thread, NFC won't work neither after debranding.

Convert PE-UL00 to european

Hello,
I've been gifted an Huawei 6x chinese version, which I have upgraded.
it mount now the 5.11.16 and cust version. CUSTCHNC00B667.
I was wondering if there is some way to convert it to european by changing che custom version value or flash an european fw.
As far i've found, this model is just for china, isn't it? And as of now i found many topics on this very forum, and also on other, explaining how to remove some chinese fonts or flashing gapps, but not a real answer explaining or if possible to flash an european fw.
BTW: i recall that with other brands like samsung, for example, it was so easy to change region (multicsc)

What are the C model numbers of Australian Mate 9s?

I purchased a Mate 9 off Gumtree, but it was from Vodafone and it's stuck on MHAL09C346B136. Apparently, there are virtually no updates for the Vodafone Australia version so I want to give the phone the FunkyHuawei treatment and change the model number to and unbranded Australian model that will actually get updates as B136 is freaking ancient...
So if anyone knows which model for Australian that I should be using, please let me know!
Also if you are in Perth and have messed with Funky before - hit me up, I would love to pay you to flash my Mate 9!! (Yup I'm nervous!)
I think its C636 like the australians P9 Models
Edit: Wait, the p8 is C470

Nah, C636 is Southeast Asia / Asia Pacific (but not including Australia).
That's weird because my mate 9 is single sim... It only lists dual sim there.

I don't think FH lets you rebrand to any Australian models, check their website. Also, talk to duraaraa ..
From what I understand, there are ~3 "C" models in Australia - Optus and Vodafone have their own specific models and then there is a "Carrier Free" model (sold by JB HiFi/Hardly Normal), which is actually a Dual-SIM model. The Optus/Voda is Single-SIM only..
MHA-L09C34 = Optus
MHA-L09C346 = Voda
MHA-L29C652 = Harvey Norman Dual-SIM model.
Thread about rebranding talks about these 3 models also... https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...0-mate9-to-t3554656/post70992863#post70992863
C272 / C470 / C567 - ASIA PACIFIC / AUSTRALIA
Note: C567 is USA and C470 is New Zealand.. I believe
More info on regions here:

If any option is viable, it would be rebranding to the MHA-L29C636 branding, which has been detailed on the forums here etc... That has been said to be one of the quickest to get updates... rebranding from a Single-SIM to a Dual-SIM model works and it just makes the second IMEI just show as 0's.
i bought my C636 from JBHIFI
dual sim, outright.

Ok, thanks for info... Good to know - I bought my C636 from Thailand... Can you tell me if VoLTE is working on yours (if you are using a telco which supports it) ? The setting doesn't show up on mine, and I thought it was because I bought the C636 model which is not an Australian model / wouldnt include the AU VoLTE configs.. Tho my guess is the Optus / Vodafone models include their VoLTE configs in their specific firmwares.. Telstra of course do not sell the phone - so no specific firmware available..

I have the Vodafone version and it doesn't have the setting anywhere - I am using it on Optus though, not sure if that has any bearing on the situation.
Also - Leighm0... would you be willing to have a go at rebranding my Mate 9? I only have a Chromebook and I need windows to do it I think. I own my own company and we run on ChromeOS - so everyone is using ChromeOS... The disadvantage of owning a Pixel LS!!! I'm in Perth, our offices are in Brookfield Place in the city.

Yeah - going to assume Vodafone version contains VoLTE for vodafone (if they even have support for it on their network?) ...
Sorry I'm not too comfortable messing with this phone yet, I'm still running stock without any rooting or custom recovery etc...

Telstra and Optus both have VoLTE - my wife has it on her Note 5.. shows as VoLTE icon in the status bar up the top when its available.. Theres a thread here on XDA about the option being available, but only if your provider support it AND there are configuration files for it in your "cust" partition..

I would also be interested. I have the same model with 6gb of ram.
C432 is what you're after.
Thank you. So we would have to use a tool like FunkyHuawei to switch from the chinese version to the international one, is that right?
Will we have to unlock our bootloader?
Are there any guides out there that explain the steps?
Thank you so much.
I have called Huawei in Europe today and they have told me that changing the Version from China to Europe is no problem at all and does not require to unlock the bootloader. The guarantee will not void as long as you use official huawei builds.
This is rxactly what he has told me.
And did he say how to do that?
I have the same one and i would change to the europien rom, too

Which firmware/Where to download/Best version for buttons?

I hope somebody who's versed in U12+ variants and firmware can answer a few questions for me.
I just received a "new" (with broken seal) U12+ with CID HTC__059 and Oreo firmware 1.25.400.3. Fastboot getvar all says it's a imedugl variant -- Asian? (India.) I'm in the USA, travel a lot and vacation in the Caribbean at least once a year. I will root the phone once I get it firmware-stable.
Questions:
1. Will I have to worry about CID 059 / SKU 400 working on a (US) T-Mobile mvno? If 059 is a problem, which other region(s) would be better?
2. For North American or European, which has the best availability of Oreo firmware? The only Oreo I can find for 617 is https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=674106145207492637]here on AFH, but I don't know what the "combined" means in that filename. Any other places to get 617 fw?
3. Relating to https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=281261]other U12+ firmware on AFH, is there any notable difference between Imagine and Exodus firmware? Both are listed in the 401 DUGL folder.
4. And what is the difference between 401 DUGL and 401 UHL firmware? (Nvm, I already knew that. I have a DUGL dual SIM model.)
4. Last but not least, is there any firmware I should avoid as problematic concerning the Volume buttons?
As for the spreadsheet mentioned in several places on XDA, like the one I have for the U11 -- the google download link is broken, can't find that spreadsheet anywhere.
TIA to whoever can help however!
I did finally find several pages of firmware download links and descriptions in @5m4r7ph0n36uru's thread . . .
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...us-1-factory-image-firmware-boot-ota.3794664/
. . . apparently material for the spreadsheet that is no longer downloadable, and I've collected notes on various Oreo downloads. So question 2 is at least partially answered.

Question Flip 3 5G F711U1; XAA => INU

I have got a Samsung Flip3 US unlocked version. Have been using it outside US with and Indian SIM card from last few months without any hiccups. With Samsung Pay working as well.
Now, with the release of 5G services here in India, I'm not sure the bands that Indian operators use are unlocked or not in this. Jio (Indian service provider) says that you're using a non-5G device.
So, I was wondering if I flash an INU firmware to my device. Will it unlock the bands and also let me get OTAs from Samsung? Maybe if someone here did this already?
(According to Jio, this phone is compatible with their 5G network. Also, checked on gsmarena, the international version has the bands that JIO supports.) Since the chipset in international and US is same, I suppose the bands are already there in the device.
Thanks in advance for your help and comments.
Hi Jatin, I don't think flashing your US flip 3 with IND firmware, will fix your problem. The IND firmware is for the F711B model, you are on the F711U1 model. I would not try that. A lot of the F7711B firmware are multi-CSC, but not for the U1 model.
Thanks for the reply, @slysurfer.
I was thinking that since both F711B and F711U1 share the same chipset (Snapdragon 888), the F711B firmware drivers will work on F711U1.
I read some other posts in here (on XDA itself) in which someone with an EUX variant flashed INU firmware to it. Not sure the EUX variant is multi-CSC or not.

Yes, the EUX variant is multi-CSC (to a degree) I can flash any firmware from Europe to South East Asia, but as mentioned we can't flash any firmware from US/Canada.
Big >IF< you can OEM unlock the bootloader you can install twrp and disable the vbmeta and flash a U firmware over a U1 phone and visa versa. But even if you can do all of that it probably still won't work. Personally I'd take it to my local mobile phone stall and see if they can do it.
Thankyou @beanbean50 for your answers.
Sorry for the noob question, . Earlier when Samsung used to release 2 different hardware versions of the same phone like one with Exynos and other with Snapdragon, flashing the other region ROM was not possible.
So, I was just wondering, since both the regions (US & South East Asia) has the exactly same hardware, the networks bands in both of these must only be software locked. Thus, since the US version already has the hardware, can't simply flashing a different region ROM should work.
Again, if there are some other locks that prevent this, it's not possible to flash. Just like if on paper both devices are same, the only difference they have is, they are released in different region.
Also, I checked, both are also manufactured in the Vietnam.

There is not OEM unlocking in under developer options. I have through other posts and things on how to unlock. I suppose it can't be unlocked in a straightforward like F711B can be.
I suppose this is the hard-stop that cleared my doubts.
Thanks one again, @beanbean50 for your time and answers. Really appreciated!!
P.S.: If you or someone you know have some experience unlocking a US snapdragon Samsung device bootloader, please do share. I might have to consider unlocking bootloader in the future.
