Xposed modules - Google Pixel 2 Questions & Answers

Now that Xposed is in beta for our devices, just wondering what modules everyone runs?

You're too soon - I didn't even know it was working for 8.1 yet.

My favorites are XInsta and Snaptools. Flat Style Color Keyboard is a favorite too but it only half works for me.

MinMinGuard (https://fatminmin.com/pages/minminguard.html)
Haven't tested it on Oreo yet. App Settings is another one I've always liked, lets you change per-app DPI and force tablet/phone layouts as desired.

Is gravitybox working yet?

[ROM] [4.4] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod11

I've compiled CM11 for the Evita and it's been running great for me for the last week, so I thought I'd share it with the community. These are compiled straight from the source https://github.com/cyanogenmod. Thanks to the whole CM team for the hardwork, and PA/BaNkS for the GApps. Use the provided recovery, as I haven't had success with flashing through TWRP.
To install do the following:
1) In fastboot, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
2) reboot to recovery then install CM11 followed by PA 4.4 Gapps (Or BaNkS GApps)(wipe cache/dalvik cache)
3) ???
4) Profit!
11/28 Build has a cherry=pick based on this commit to enable NFC HCE (Host-based Card Emulation) meaning GoogleWallet tap-to-pay is now enabled! If you have GWallet, report back if this works for you.
12/4 Build incorporates fix found by phoenixita to make build flashable via twrp! Also, netflix and other video services appear to be working without a grey block taking up 50% of the video.

I wouldn't recommend trying it right now. A couple things crash a lot with art. Everything else seemed to be workingworking for me.

Does the keyboard force close when you try to use swipe? And I mean on the aosp/Google keyboard
Edit: it does lol

Yeah, both dalvik and ART the AOSP keyboard crashes for me when I try and swype.
Any chance a twrp flash able version?
OP have you tried this with any custom kernels?

Nope, I've just been running stock.
Does anybody know where I can find settings to change the battery icon to the circle with percentage numbers in the center? Also have lockscreen targets been implemented yet? Lastly can I remap buttons yet? Thanks op, it's running great!
Does tap to pay with Google Wallet work? I've tried beanstalk 4.4 and I couldn't make it work. After I spend my free $20 I got from signing up for ISIS I'm ready to ditch the stock ROM and get back on the bleeding edge of things.
Excuse my ignorance, but what id ART.
Great to see developers still pushing forward. Flashing this right away.

It stands for android run time. U can switch from dalvik to art in developer settings but it's not recommended yet. U can Google it to find out more about it.

I don't think those settings have been implemented yet. Spend a good amount of time digging through all the settings and couldn't find em.

How did you get ART to work? After I enabled it, I kept getting popups with things crashing, I couldn't even get to the homescreen or settings or anything

The PA full package from the OP. It says that ART is supported, but all I got was Google+, Gmail, sysUI, and other crashes.
After installing 4.4 and Gapps, I went to developer settings, switched to ART, and it made me reboot. There aren't any other steps to take first, are there?

Status bar tweaks

Could someone tell me why the status bar tweaks of xposed are not working on xt1033? Can something be done to make them work?

I don't know if you're using CyanogenMod (or any other ROMs based on CM) but with the latest nightly, XPosed framework will not worked due to some recent changes in the Themes module I guess.

About XPosed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/app...d-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401/post51839299
The latest nightly includes the new theming engine. Xposed needs to be adjusted to work with it, so I suggest you don't flash the nightly yet. If you don't want to wait, you can use the experimental setting to disable Xposed's resource API, but some modules will not work then.

Yes i have a dual sim phone.. its the same for me.. everything except the status bar tweaks works just fine. I just wanted to know why is it so? Why even after rooting the phone it is not possible to tweak the status bar? Never seen that happening with any other phone..

I've got a XT1033 but flashed the single sim firmware, xposed's modding of status bar works fine here. I guess that's the only way to do it.

OnePlus 6T gestures for the OnePlus 6

There's an app available on xda which is the launcher from the 6t which is said to have the gestures of the 6t, it doesn't work for me though. Has anyone else tried it?
Edit: Fixed link

I've just tried it by myself and it works. I'm on OB5 Pie
It doesn't seem to be working on stable pie then

It works great. Before installing this app i was using gesture navigation. May be u need to se the navigation to gesture then install the app. After that in setting you get to change to new gesture style.

Can't download from links as just says it's a placeholder
is it just the recent app animation that's changed?
whoaa i get some weird visual bugs using this...
I guess this is only for OB5 users, I really think those will work amazingly well. At least if they are like I saw on the keynote.

I experienced the same. It's in the comments here https://www.xda-developers.com/download-oneplus-6t-launcher-new-gesture-oneplus-6/
I can confirm. New gesture to quick open last app doesn't work on stock Android Pie
Wysłane z mojego ONEPLUS A6003 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Tried clearing data on the launcher, tried installing it while using gestures, nothing seems to work on stable Pie.
Im on stable pie, and it is also not working for me.
Error app doesnt instaled. Iam stay on OB5.
I just installed on my op6 running ob5, I can confirm the gesture is working on the oneplus native navigation gestures.
it has also made going to recent apps really snappy and way easier and smoother, love it
Try it ? And work well
Yeah it doesn't
work on the stable one plus 6 pie

Call recording app

Hey guys ive been searching for a really good app to record the audio of both sides of a conversation without using speaker phone, I need an app with all the bells and whistles also.. Can anyone chime in and provide me with such an android application for my Verizon Pixel 3??
I'm pretty sure there's a magisk module doing that but you have to root your phone.

There's def a non-root out there my Dad uses. I'll post back when he replies

The module is SKVALEX Call recorder. Works perfectly on root. After some days, you have to pay. But so fine !

It does not need the module for root or anything anymore. You can simply use the app as it has all the module features built in. But the play store version is feature limited in a few features due to Google restrictions. The full app is available on skvalex website.. and IMO... it is well worth it.

Google's "Pixel Themes" app

Saw this Article about the new Google Pixel themes. Tried to follow the steps to get it to work but apparently our PH1 isn't as close to a Pixel as I thought it was.
Anyone have any luck getting this to work? Or seen someone who has it working on another device somewhere on XDA that isn't a Pixel?
I was able to install all 3 apps, do the ADB command but the wallpaper app just Force Closes/crashes when I attempt to do anything.

If you use this, go to post 11 or 12 and use the link there. The original mod is no longer supported, but Banks has continued his own version of the module. Works like a charm.
