(fixed)Back to stock recovery is not working - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

Hi guys!
I have installed twrp recently but i decided to install stock recovery back. After installing stock recovery still twrp appears.(tried it 3x times)
Any idea?
Thank you for your answers.

Are you using fastboot to flash the recovery? If so what gets displayed when it fails?

As BakedOnSomeSour said, stock recovery must be flashed through fastboot using the same command you used to flash TWRP, and so "fastboot flash recovery <recoveryname>.img". That's the only way to flash a recovery (unless that you use dload and reflash full firmware).

Allow USB debug and OEM unlock by developer settings menu and retry... Plus, tell me what your fastboot says about FRP and Phone

If FRP is locked, read my post above. OEM unlock must be enabled by developer options.
Anyway, procure yourself a valid copy of your actual firmware's recovery and retry a flash by fastboot. Then, try to boot directly to recovery

Thank you for your asnwers. Finally i fixed my problem.

Need help figuring out how to help a remote friend update

In November, I helped my friend unlock and root his T-Mobile HTC One S using Hasoon's All-In-One-Toolkit.
He left the ROM as stock, and hasn't uninstalled any apps or bloats.
A couple weeks ago he got the OTA message to update. When he hits the notification to proceed with the update, the following happens:
phone resets
clockwork mod recovery v5.8.3.1
finding update package...
e: unknown volume for path [internals dcard: download/OTA_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_TMOUS_2.35.531.10-1.84.531.2_release_2978576yp8mjiw19tsxxey.zip]
e: can't mount INTERNAL SDCARDownload/OTA(tons of numbers).zip
His current software version is 1.84.531.2.710ORD, and he's on Android 4.0.3.
What needs to be done to enable the OTA update? I'm not near him, but I can talk him through it with Skype. I'm just not used to the HTC environment and terminology.
All he needs is to relock bootloader and install stock recovery, here is a link to download it from my dropbox..

how to install stock recovery
Can you please explain how to relock the bootloader and how to install the stock recovery.

Put the phone into bootloader.
Type in the following command in a command shell, opened in the adb directory: fastboot oem lock

Your friend will need to have the phone drivers installed and an adb/fastboot folder set up (similar to the "data" folder from Hasoon's All-In-One-Toolkit with fastboot, adb, etc.). Get the phone to the bootloader then go to fastboot mode and connect the USB (it should say "fastboot usb"). Now flash the stock recovery by running the following command in the terminal:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery.img
then lock the bootloader with this command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock

FRP Locked - Stock ROM Corrupt - TWRP Backup Corrupt

[FRD_L09]
Ok, here's the deal.
I recently got myself an unofficial version of TWRP.
Installed it, fine. I then downloaded SuperSu .zip and flashed it.
Tried booting my phone; nothing. OEM was unlocked, and i already made
a twrp backup, before making any changes. I am now stuck with a phone
that wont boot up (nothing happens upon boot), and FRP being locked in bootloader.
I realised some ROMs require a custom version of TWRP, which i cannot flash as FRP is locked
in boot loader, and i dont have access to "USB Debugging" since it wont boot. I tried installing
several different ROMs, including LineAge, CM14 and some others. No luck.
I also went to the manufacturer website (Huawei) to see if they would help me with this issue; no luck. Please help me restore
my device to its original state. Thanks a lot.

It shows up in fastboot, but FRP is locked. I guess FRP is usb debugging, since i cant make any changes.

You have to unlock the bootloader to gain access to flash or boot via fastboot
Edit : You've to change RECOVERY.img by your recovery name

Give the all required information like Brand, model number in your post first.
Huawei honor 5x kiwi L24, I can't really acces the phone so finding some information is impossible. My main issue is when I boot it's failing to verify the Boot.img , recovery.img and system.img . I don't exactly know what all information I can give you

I have already done that, I've tried flashing it via SP flash tool but nothing, it won't show up. I've downloaded correct drivers and done what I could but my phone shows up as Lemobile android adb interface. It sometimes shows as a disk drive as well.
When I run CMD command (fastboot flash oem info) it shows everything but the recovery.img system.img and boot.img need verification how can I verify them without the debugging bridge active on the phone.

I rooted my phone and was running xenon HD on my Huawei honor 5x, in the midst of switching ROMs I accidently targeted a TWRP recovery.img with the ROM and Gapps.
So what my phone dose now is when it powers on it an all green screen with a red box and a blue box. After a second it come up with " recovery image verify failed, please update to verified images." I can enter fastboot&rescue mode and a Huawei erecovery, but when i do try to download the recovery via WIFI it says package failure.

I had unlocked my bootloader but some research I was doing says, when you accidently flash wrong images it can relock the bootloader. I lost the original bootloader code and i don't exactly have the box anymore, so getting a new code will be difficult.

Help on my TWRP bootloop phone

Hello, newbie here..
Need help!! My phone keeps booting to TWRP whenever I turned it on, connected it to PC, or even when I connected it to my charger.
It happened after I mistakenly uninstalled a system app (it is an app named Freeshare). I thought it was just a sharing app like MiDrop or ShareIt, but clearly that was a mistake.
Now I just can't seem to boot into the system, not even able to enter into the download mode.
I've tried a method that I found in here, like entering a code in TWRP terminal (it was "dd if blablabla", i forgot. Lol), to no avail.
Haven't tried to flash the stock rom or stock boot since I can't find any zip Stock Rom for my phone (my phone is Gome Fenmmy Note).
Does anyone have an idea or know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash MISC partition?
Give a try on this (plese, method #2 only): https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4209299/
Or you can try to FORMAT the misc partition inside the TWRP.
Or did you flash TWRP to boot partition ??
TWRP needs to be flashed to RECOVERY partition.
If you flash TWRP to boot partition, your device will boot forever to recovery.
If yes, you need to flash the original stock boot.img

You don't need to uninstall a system app for disabling it completely.
If you've uninstalled a system app, you've modified your system.
1. Did you unlock bootloader?
2. Did you flash vbmeta with disabled verification?
3. Did you root your device?
4. Did you debloat your device?
You can't modify your system before the answer for all questions be YES.
Probably you need to flash the SYSTEM again.
(Only system should be enough.)

For questions 1,3,4 the answer is YES. For question 2, I'm not really sure.
Okay, so I need to flash the system again. Can I just flash the system.img through TWRP? Since it won't enter fastboot or download mode. Since once I connect my turned off phone to PC, it will immediately reboot to TWRP.
Sorry, if I'm asking too much. Please be patience.

I'm not sure, but I think to flash system using TWRP you need to convert sparse image to regular image using simg2img first.

Well, I haven't tried to enter fastboot using adb yet since the phone will automatically turn on and boot into TWRP if i connect it to PC using usb cable. Is it possible to enter fastboot using adb eventhough the phone isn't turned off and in TWRP mode?
I see, so i need to convert the image into regular image first. Got it.
I'll try all of your suggestions. Hope it worked.

If you can enter in fastboot mode, you can flash the rom easily.
But it requires unlocked bootloader.
If your bootloader is locked, you need to flash using SP FLASH TOOL.
Just download the stock rom, extract it and flash using any of the flashing script (if available).
Good luck
