Anyone know of a compatible Y adapter that will let me use my headset (mainly in car when I dont want to use blue tooth) and charge my phone via the USB C. Getting rid of the headphone jack on these phones has been my one major irk and honestly, I believe, the cause of the mic issues people (myself included) have/had.
Thanks

Anyone know of a headphone audio adapter that will adapt from the rose platform to the iPhone style earphones\microphone combo?
Ideally it would also allow for use of the FM radio on the phone speaker with just the adapter used and no headset.
Looks like these won't pass along microphone functions only but I assume otherwise they would work...

Hi, I use the HTC HS U110 adapter for using another set of different earphones with it.
Not sure whether microphone/earphone combo would work with it (never tested). When I had to make calls, there was a little mic on the adapter. And as it was clipped to near my mouth the other person could still be heard.
The adapter you're looking for is sold here.
There's also a coupon for budgetgadgets; SH5OFF which will give you 5% off everything. Free shipping by the way
Got one aswell.
Has anyone seen a microUSB dock/charger/headset that has audio capability as well as charging the phone? What I'd like is to play music from, have headset controls from, and charge the phone all from the microUSB port on the bottom... or is this what car docks are supposed to do?
The way my car is, it's annoying to plug in the charger on the bottom AND the line out on the top - if there's a headset/adapter type thing, I figure I'll buy one of those and build my own car dock, and potentially speaker dock for the indoors.
OR: Just a microUSB headset - maybe I could add charger wires to it...
Month-long bump: I've realized that all I want right now is a microUSB headset, like for the older phones with no headphone jack. Obviously they don't make these for the G2x; has anyone confirmed another LG headset that works with this phone?
I honestly dont know if anything like that exists but I dont think so because of several reasons. Just a few that come to mind I'm not sure if the kernel driver supports it even if it could; the power running parallel to the audio probably would sound terrible; the USB would probably have to be used with a USB (female) to micro-USB (male) adapter since if you were to find it, it would probably be for PC so needed to be converted further adding to the reduction in sound quality.
Silly question.... why not just use Bluetooth and then usb to charge/data only??
Not a silly question at all. I don't feel like paying for a bluetooth adapter but also, because I've had bad luck with them in the past, as far as sound quality goes; I wasn't very impressed. Are there any good/reasonably priced bluetooth adapters that you've had luck with?
The blackberry audio gateway has been reliable for me and sounds decent.
Hmm maybe... not really a fan of having to plug that in, in addition to my stereo. I'll keep it in mind. Any others?
Hi,
Do anyone else find it annoying that the Car Bluetooth wont work while the headphone jack is plugged in?
I drive an hour to work every day (and the same time back!) and love listening to Audiobooks, which I got hooked up to the car using a mini-jack to mini-jack cable.
Whenever I get a call, I have to unplug the phone to make the Car Bluetooth take over.
Really annoying.
Do anyone know of a patch that will let BT have higher priority than headphones and not the reverse as now...
Thanks,
I know there's a thread for the stock rom already:

I have the problem on all the roms i tested, old stock, new stock, two diff GB from here.
So have a 2010 Honda Fit, the radio only has an aux in and usb port. I can connect Apple products via usb or mp3's on a usb stick. I really miss having bluetooth but I want to keep the stock look of my car.
So here is the ideal situation. I want to plug some type of usb bluetooth receiver into the usb port in the glove box. Then have that pass the audio on to my stereo in a way it can accept through the usb.
I have been googling and havent come up with anything but figured xda might have some answers. Slightly annoying when Android if I remember correctly has the majority of the market but yet still stuck debating on an apple product for the ease of integration with just about everything I have.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them.... doesnt matter if its even as weird as splicing cables or buying a dac etc.
Hi, has anyone come up with a way to listen to music/podcast etc while also charging the phone (in the car). I've looked around and it seems like a hard thing to do. A 'Y' cable or hub i guess should work, but probably needs hardware/software support, right? Any ideas anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is already a thread going about this
Bluetooth.
possible deal breaker for me but who knows maybe i might get used to it. cant believe HTC did not think this through. cant remember a time when i cant listen to my headphones while charging. at least leave the 3.5 headphone jack as a secondary output.
