Smart View cover - no notifications on Nougat

So I use the official smart view cover. On marshmallow there was a horizontal line below the clock, and under it would be shown icons for missed calls or new texts - after update to 7.0, both the line and notifications are gone. Has anyone else experienced it or have any tips?
Anyone..?
Edit: it seems notifications are in place after all - but playback controls are gone.

Mate 9 heads up notification on incoming calls

Hello I'm facing a problem with my Mate 9.
When I'm in an app and someone is calling at my Nexus 6P a heads up notification is shown without leave the app, at my Mate 9 with both the system dialer and the google dialer there is no heads up and is shown full screen.
I went to notification settings and enable the option banner.
Is there any solution to this issue?
PS sorry for my English
There used to be a settings in the messaging app itself in the older phones....

Notifications on lockscreen like google pixel

Hi,
Is possible to have the lockscreen of the S8+ like the googe pixel?
For example, if i receive an notification, the screen can wake up and show the particular notification?
In the google pixel it happens, but on S8+ just have the icon of the application and not wake up.
Thanks

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Easy to do.
Steps:
1. Disable AOD;
2.Disable Edge Led notifications;
3.install app Glimpse Notifications (will wake up screen for any notification) and enable it;
4. Done.
Regarding this and heads up notifications you can read more on my thread, since although I do like how edge led and s8/s8+/n8 notifications look visually you have to admit they (bubble notifications) are not very practical, and I wanted to re-create notifications the same way the appear on other nougat based Android phones

Disable sms and email preview

Hello
I use built-in sms and gmail apps
What annoys me is preview of messages and emails in top drop down area
What is a point of locking apps with eg fingerprint when content may be read in notification area?
Is any way to disable this "feature"
Thanks!
Have you tried notifications settings for specific apps? Or you can just disable notifications content on lockscreen completely. Search notifications in settings and you should find these.

Of course I tried this
In "Notifications" I have:
Allow notifications
Show on status bar
Banners
Notifications on lockscreen
Priority
Sound
Wibrations
No change of any abowe turns off previews
Don't think it's possible to disable notifications previews in notifications section.
You can disable them on lockscreen.
I guess locking with fingerprint is so someone can't access and use the application directly. Looks like another missing android feature that we should have.
What I can suggest is to disable notifications in notifications tab, leave sound / vibration on and notification badge in the app icon. Set lockscreen settings to hide content.

Question Hide notification content on lock screen

In my old Xiaomi device there was an option to show notification but hide content.
In my Poco X3 Pro I only have 2 options: "Show notification and content" and "Don't show lock screen notifications". I have no way to show the notification only, without the content, I also tried app notifications menu (badge, flying) but it didn't work.
Any help?
Thank you in advance
I finally found this option: it appears only if you set a screen-lock method, as fingerprint. If you just have a tap-only lock screen, you cannot show notifications without content. I don't understand why.
