LG G Stylo - MS631 (Metro PCS) root - LG G Stylo Questions & Answers

Hi
I have just bought LG G Stylo (MS631) and did OTA update.
Now my phone has following s/w version
Android 6.0
Security Level 3-1-2017
S/W MS63120p
Can I root using Kingroot or OneClickRoot?
I'm afraid someone got bricked after using above tools because it is not android 5.0
How about Wondershare Dr. Fone?
Please help and advise.
Thanks

Stuck at Step 6.1
I too have the LG MS631 (MetroPCS) and have succesfully completed Step 6. Confirmed.
Now comes my issue.
Step 6.1 seems to make me believe Kingroot will root my device.
Tried Kingroot several times, no success.
Tried Kingoroot several times, no success.
Tried Towelroot several times, no success.
I cannot move to next step until it's rooted and recovery flashed.
Does anyone know what I might do to achieve root?
Super thankful to anyone who can help.

Im running 6.0 btw

Don't use KingRoot or anything similar to that on Android 6.0 and above to try to get root. It won't work!
You need to enable OEM unlocking under "Developer options", unlock the bootloader via ADB (to prevent soft-bricking - WARNING: THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING OFF THE PHONE!!! Backup your files on a PC), install TWRP via ADB and install Magisk through TWRP to get root.

Thank You,
I have bootloader unlocked thru ADB currently. So, install TWRP thru ADP and Magisk thru TWRP. Gotcha. This is a more difficult phone for me to root than my past LG's. So I'm a newbie to this process dealing with TWRP. Any dumbed down instructions you can provide would be super helpful and I'd be eternally grateful. I have Magicz downloaded but not sure what my next move should be.
Thanks in Advance

Download this version of TWRP found here, and follow the instructions posted here. Ignore the part about TWRP Manager. Here's the installation instructions for Magisk, after you install TWRP. Just read carefully and there shouldn't be any problems.

Does this SIM unlock the phone to use on other carriers?
Does anyone have the stock rom image for the Huawei Inspira? Mine is currently bricked and I would really appreciate it!
Any help?
Has anyone been able to SIM unlock this phone? I'm also having problems unlocking the bootloader, my phone is not recognized when I connect it in fastboot mode. Any other mode I plug it in and it's recognized, but not in fastboot mode

I am thinking about trying to root my Huawei H867G straight talk phone using the method above, but may I ask how you bricked your phone. I don't see much information about rooting this model on the internet so there isn't much support. thanks.
Also was anyone able to install CWM and if so how, Was that done after rooting and were there any problems while installing it?
Stock rom image for Huawei H867G
I found this on the Huawei website and it says this image covers these 3 models. suitable for H867G,H881C,H868C.
Still looking for more information regarding rooting this with Framaroot and installing CWM. I would love to post a link but I don't have the required 10 post to do so, and I don't want to troll 10 threads to do so. EDIT I CAN POST LINK! here is a screenshot image as an attachment. Here is the link:

Open link and click on downloads.
I know this thread is old, but I just updated my above post with a link to stock Rom. But was anyone ever able to install CWM or Twrp recovery to Huawei H867G?

I rooted the 867 g using kingroot haven't found a custom recovery for it yet however

Unable to Root and Install SuperSU properly.

I am currently trying to root my Motorola G3 2015 (XT1541) and whenever I try to install SuperSU through TWRP Recovery it will install then I will get stuck on the Warning Bootloader Unlocked Screen when booting. The SuperSU I'm trying to install is V2.46. I've tried install SuperSU 3 times and they all failed. Is there any way to install it without this happening? Thanks!
Note:I am not an expert on these kind of things so I wont understand complicated methods.

Root noob: downgraded, TWRP, rooted, flashed 6.0.1 now.....

Hey guys,
Got a Z3 with locked BL, decided recently I wanted to root the phone so followed the downgrade method, installed TWRP, installed 6.0.1 using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/stock-marshmallow-6-0-1-build-23-5-0-t3357509
That should have rooted the device and installed MM. MM seems to work ok but ES file explorer says there is no root. Also my TWRP recovery isn't working due to this problem (probably): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66232031&postcount=328
I'm a bit new to this but I can't seem to fix the TWRP problem without root access and I can't get root access without a custom recovery? I have Flashtool and tried to follow this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66232031&postcount=328
But I'm not sure how I'm meant to flash the required zips. Any help would be much appreciated, step by step would be a bonus xoxo

Flashed recroot before reboot?

Thanks, presuming I'd need to downgrade and root again. Trying to avoid that if possible...

Pixel Root Questions

Hi guys. Please bear with me - I am a noob to rooting phones and custome recoveries. I haven't had an android device since ~2011, so I need some time to get reacquainted. (Poke fun at me for using iPhones)
Either way, I recently got a 5" Google Pixel and have been looking for a decent guide to root it. I have done research on the topic, but I can't find a straightforward guide or instruction list. I believe I could do it, I just don't want to risk bricking a $700 device.
From my understanding, I need to unlock the boot loader, adb boot some custom recovery image, then install the latest root package. Again, if my jargon is confusing I apologize - I've beeb with the Jailbreaking community for quite a while and haven't tweaked an android device forever.
Could someone link a guide or help me out? Also I have been reading places that you must flash the supersu zip to two different locations for it to work properly.
In the end, I'm hoping to have my Pixel rooted on the most recent firmware and be able to use Adaway and to be able to update with FlashFire (I think that's the name). Also, I'm hoping to keep systemless root to avoid tripping SafetyNet. I would like to be able to easily update.
Thanks in advance guys, sorry for the long post. Hopefully someone more knowledgable can take me under their wing.

That's the procedure. I booted TWRP Alpha 2 for installing SuperSU, so that I didn't need to worry about the popup that sometimes doesn't show up on TWRP RC1. The following seems somewhat verbose to me, but it's the correct procedure and includes videos if you want to watch someone do each step. You don't need to download the TWRP zip, so like noted, you can stop at step 12 on the TWRP instructions and avoid installing TWRP to the phone.

Root Guide for Lg G5 Tmobile on 20i Nougat?

So I've been doing a little bit of research, trying to figure out how to root my phone. I read I needed to downgrade my Security patch to something lower than 20i. I can probably figure out how to root it if I had a guide to downgrade my phone. Anyway I thought I'd ask this amazing community for some help! Thanks guys!

Just follow the steps to flash 20a in that thread with LGUP. No other steps required. Just do a factory reset then flash 20a then root. If your phone is buggy after flashing 20a do another factory reset then root. After rooting you can follow the guide to flash 20i using TWRP.

thank you so much
I have previously tried to root after I went to 20l but wasn't successful. I read about how I needed to downgrade to 20a, then root. However, I had errors when I tried to install the 20a KDZ file with LGUP. My bootloader is unlocked. Does anyone know if you can successfully downgrade and root from 20l?
Update, I was successfully able to downgrade from 20l to 20a, root, then flash autoprime's 20l zip via TWRP. Here is the shortened version of the steps I used.
1. Turn off virus scanner
2. Have latest SU, No verify zip, and 20l flashable zip on SD card
3. Factory data reset on current version (was 20l)
4. Developer options enabled
5. Turn on USB Debugging
6. Plug in to computer, prompt comes up on phone, accept
Do all the steps to unlock the bootloader (mine was already unlocked since I previously tried to do this)
7. Run “Upper Cut” (after LGUP installed)
8. “Upgrade” with 20a KDZ
9. Now on 20a, fresh install, go back in and enable developer options
10. Turn on USB Debugging
11. Plug in to computer, prompt comes up on phone, accept
12. Use Minimal ADB and Fastboot to run all the commands from this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/root-h830-20a-nougat-lg-g5-hard-t3542496
13. While in TWRP, wipe data, install op sys, install SU and no verify zips.
Quick question, i am using t-mobile H83020i only GSM network, if i downgrade to 20a do i lose GSM unlock?
(I read a lot about people with that problem when downgrading)
