So I don't even know where to begin with this XT1548 that refuses to flash. We've had the phone for over a year and while we think it did boot then, something happened along the way that left it in a non-booting state, and it's been this way for so long that neither of us remember what the original problem that got us here even was, or exactly what all has been tried since then. The situation as of now is that it only goes to the "Software Repair Assistant" screen (no recovery either) and seemingly no stock ROM available will flash. And here's the kicker - we're not even sure what carrier this phone is *supposed* to be. (We've had a loooooooot of phones in and out of here, it's easier to lose track than you'd think, heh). I think what's happened is that bits and pieces of the ROM are mixed up - a 5.1 RW here, a 6.0.1 USCC there - and now it's as confused as we are. But there has to be a way to fix this, right?
So I'll start with what the Fastboot screen shows, and see if that information is of any use
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure)

Now, you'd think based on what you can see there that this should be the Republic Wireless variant, and going by the errors I get, one would think I was attempting to downgrade from 6 to a LP ROM... but if this is a RW phone, then that's not even possible - there's only one RW ROM around and it's LP. So I must really be looking at a Sprint or USCC model that's been incorrectly flashed right? ...Except I can't flash the LP or MM ROMs from those carriers either. I can flash everything from the Sprint/USC MM ROMs except boot, recovery and system without issue, but no amount of different flash attempts or different flash orders seems to work.
So what *can* I do? Any ideas? Thanks.

Alright, Question first:
Is it possible (obviously not recommended) to put firmware for a similar version, like SM-P905 on my SM-P907A?
Details:
To keep a long story short, my device is soft-bricked. I can boot into Recovery Mode and Download Mode. Fastboot is over my head with the tutorials I've found. The file system is corrupt and it can't/won't mount. I don't really see too much information available for my case with my device and I don't understand what can be interchanged and what can't. I've tried to re-partition, flash multiple times using Odin (always ends in "Pass!"), and factory reset the device all to no avail. I read some articles on flashing to the original firmware, and I would flash to the original firmware, but the only source I was able to find it from says that it'll take about 2774 weeks to download (P907AUCU1AND7 for those of you who're curious). It's an AT&T carried device by default, but I don't want, nor need a SIM card in my device, so that'd rule out any need for 3G, LTE, etc. However, Wi-Fi is needed. I don't really have any experience using custom roms (cyanogenmod, CWM, Pac-Rom, etc (not that my device isn't support by them anyways)). Besides the 3G/LTE aspects, I saw that the 907 and 905 use the same hardware which is why I ask: Could I flash to custom or stock rom for the 905 model to my 907 model and not hard brick my device?

With a fast and stable Internet connection the files here worked. Took a few tries to get some of them to successfully complete the download. About one hour. http://forum.xda-developers.com / galaxy-note-pro -12 / general / sm-p907a-att-version-news-t2850564
Hello!
I've recently acquired an used Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920P, but in Download Mode it says G920R4) and I'm trying to go back to the stock firmware. That being said, I have no access to the original box, neither to the vendor, since it was bought in Vietnam and I'm now in the other side of the world.
The phone was initially rooted and I tried to unroot it so as to have OTA updates. Turns out it seems to have no S/N, and the one it does have in the Settings is seen as incorrect by Samsung Smart Switch.
ODIN fails to flash any G920P firmware in it. (Complete (Write) fail)
I have reasons to believe someone also tried to flash it with Edge's firmware, since I managed to access the menu for its side notifications. Is there any way to solve this? I'd need the phone to work in Vodafone's network, since it's the one I'm using...
The phone is working perfectly as it is, so if there's no going back, I can leave it like this. I'd just really like to have updates.
Please bear with me, for my knowledge of these matters is basic. I've looked around for days for an answer for this before posting.

Thank you in advance!
My colleague at work recently purchased a verizon Galaxy S7 (flat not edge) and it came preloaded with a PE1 firmware.
Phone worked well for first 2 days then it started forceclosing apps (mostly google play services, google play, samsung pay and S-voice) which became more vigorous over the period of 2 more days. He brought the phone to me 'cause apparently I'm the tech guy to-go-to when it comes to android phones. Nevetheless, I booted the phone into bootloader and saw that Bootloader is of G930A (At&t) model. Rebooted phone and checked it has baseband of G930A model.
At first I became scared that this is one of those chinese refurbished counterfeit copies which have mtk chipset in them and retailed to fool the simple customers. I ran AIDA-64 & CPU-Z and to my surprise it correctly identified 4GB of LPDDR4 ram, 32GB of internal storage, and a SnapDragon 820 processor. Checked IMEI and it told me its Sprint S7.
Putting hardware out of the question, I came to judgement that this phone is been badly toyed with crossflashing. So What I did was downloading the PI3 firmware of G930U. I tick marked re-partition as well so that the phone boots ALL from the full wipe. Its first boot was fine after flashing but I started getting random reboots every 5 minutes, rebootloop even!
I tried to factory reset + cache clear and charge phone to 100% and to my success I did it while sitting on the welcome screen of startup setup.
I, then flashed Sprint S7 firmware PK1 from Sprint. (G930P). Phone booted fine, configured okay but threw me out an invalid sim card error and refused to take my sim. While the phone was unlocked before and working fine on GSM/3G/LTE, it blacks out on network for me now. Assuming I have the infamous Sprint sim-lock on my phone I shut down the phone.
I, then flashed the At&t PK1 firmware for G930A. Phone boots fine, configures fine. Now it is sim-locked out of the blue and I cant use network at all. I have random forcecloses and reboots but my phone doesnt bootloop when it is on AT&T firmware.
Conclusion,
Phone has corruption in its storage which odin cant even reformat.
Even if I choose repartition, I still end up with stupidity from previous firmware. (For example if I flash G930U firmware after G930P, I end up in Sprint handsfree activation EVEN IF I WIPE DATA/CACHE/Factory Reset)
I have flashed this phone about 13 times in past 18 hours to no success.
I have changed USB cables (I have a 6-inch Micro USB cable, a 1.5 ft one, a genuine Samsung one and a genuine HTC one) and every cable passes the Odin flashing process successfully.
I have used USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on my laptop, even changed windows (between 7 and 8.1, two separate computers).
WHAT I NEED HELP WITH IS:
Someone who can tell me the steps to FULLY WIPE THE PHONE and FLASH from STOCK. Odin is not working for the FULLY WIPE PART despite I tick repartition.
Also, the back cover of the phone doesn't contain the information about serial/imei.
If I put S/N from *#06# into Smart Switch, it says it is invalid for any of the phone models (A, P, T, U, V models)

IKR! Well, he got it from a local seller who sells stuff @ 3-days checking warranty. Thinking that the F & FD models are mostly refurbished chinese crap, he got mugged on USA model as well :/
Now Im trying to revive the phone but seemingly I can't format the cache partition.
If I NAND Erase all from Odin and install AP + BL + CP only, the phone ends up crashing everything at Welcome screen. If I flash CSC as well, phone gets crazy bootlooping.
All that happens while I get dm-verity verification failed on every official firmware I flash.
I have flashed U, T, P, A firmwares and the P firmware got me simlocked as well.... freakin' bummer that Sprint models come with a genuine simlock now instead of software-based simlock (the Handsfree activation junk). After I flashed U firmware from P firmware, I got straight up handsfree activation too.
The phone has crazy ghost storage shi** even if I NAND Erase all and flash another firmware, I can still see the phone booting out of custom logo (if I previously tried eng-boot kernel to root phone and delete the bloatware).
I experienced this on SGS10+. Odin is able to flash and re-partition, the OS boots, but once I load up ~5GB to internal /data (apps installations), the system starts lagging as hell, kernel throws out IO errors, and I am forced to reboot. Upon reboot, it tries to boot the ROM, only to fall down to recovery. Recovery also reports /data corruption. If I run e2fsck on it, it deletes half of the storage, rendering the phone unable to boot. If I reflash with stock or LOS17, the situation repeats as soon as sufficient amount of data is loaded to it. I ended-up purchasing replacement motherboard, as it seems that this is related to this particular device (I have another one with the same ROM/kernel/recovery, which works fine).
I need help. I happen to get my hands on a note 7 sm-n930x live demo unit here in Denver, CO, USA

I had it running by flashing a sm-n930f firmware to it, which I understand is the same phone. I then attempted to flash the hydra rom and now I can only access download mode and it stays on the "Hydra Rom N7" splash screen. I dont remember the original phone info because the paper it was written got tossed out. To further my string of bad luck the SD that stored the NAND got corrupted.
I've tried to wipe everything via PIT and reinstall the 930f firmware, but it always fails. Sometimes it fails immediately and other times it actually starts installing for a moment and then fails. I've tried to install Hyrdra again and it fails. I've repartitioned in an attempt to wipe it without success. Info on the 930x version is hard to come by as I've come to find out. Today I finally found the fw listed below is the stock firmware for the international version, but the only downloads I can find are in a foreign language and want me to pay for it which I don't trust at all. At least I think these are the stock for the 930x, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not sure of the baseband because someone threw away the paper I had written it on or the imei # which is all zeros with a one on the end now . How can I fix the loop and get it working again? Is it failing because I can't wipe the cache through recovery and it's too much overwriting at this point? Since this is the "x" international variant, is it accepting of any of the exynos roms? Does anyone have access to the firmware versions below that they could share with me or clue me in as to where I can find the downloads myself?
My goal is to get the Note 7 working again with hydra, or any other rom. I just need it to work and be able to use it on my carrier which is currently at&t. I may have tried to flash the wrong ROM, the efs could be missing, andi know the imei is gone. It is probably safe to assume all are true.
Do I need to repair the imei before it will accept an install? If so, how would you suggest? I have QFIL, QPST, SPC but am unsure exactly how to utilize with great affect as I'm still teaching myself or if they are the correct programs that I need in order to remedy my situation. I'm no pro but I'm not a newbie either. I'm great at following detailed, precise instructions so please guide me to resurrecting my Note 7. I'm not sure what happened but I know I can fix it with a little assistance. All guidance and suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Cheers

If you have the box the device came in, the IMEI should be on the box somewhere.
If you had it activated on a network, that network should have the IMEI for that device in their system.
If all you need is the IMEI to file a claim on the device then getting the IMEI from the box or from your network support team might be enough. If so, it won't require dealing with the technical issues involved with trying to restore a corrupted IMEI.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
also if he would instead have taken a device without (or at least with a lot less) planned obsolescence (aka. if he would have a device with a battery you can take out) the IMEI would iirc be on a label below it.
Hello everyone. I have had a problem quite some time now. I was attempting to root my Galaxy S7 from United Wireless (which is a regional provider) and I ran into an issue in which a firmware file I was attempting to flash over (with Odin) apparently was incomplete or Corrupted. Now I have rooted nearly every device I've ever owned (omitting the Note 8 I currently use for fear of ruining this one too). I have never however run into a problem with incorrect firmware or incomplete firmware. So I went to go look for the stock firmware for the device, and to my dismay, I find that United Wireless uses a firmware that is either; custom to them, difficult to find, or is not a firmware created by Samsung themselves. To this day, about 1 year after bricking, I have yet to find a way to get the S7 working again. Does anyone know of a universal Firmware or something that can be flashed to get it working again? Maybe even enough to get a custom rom on it??
- Thanks in advance,
Evanzire
Assuming you're in the US, you can flash the SM-G930U firmware, as it's the unbranded firmware for US devices and should flash on any US model S7.
If you boot into download mode (Home + Power + Vol Down) what model does your device show as?
US model S7's use snapdragon SoC's with a locked bootloader, so the only working root method is to use an unstable leaked engineering bootloader that allows (some) boot modifications. Custom ROM's are impossible, and root uses non-standard methods.
