Hi
I am really very unsatisfied with 18538 ..
Device hangs-up, sound disappers, theme changes but wallpaper remains same.... bla bla
Can anyone suggest me which ROM should I use ??
and is there any problem that I should be careful about while downgrading?
Regards,
Hassan
1. what roms you try ? links plizzz
2 .. Did you try my collection of files ( 1.00 for g3-g4 ... 1.01 for g3 unis)
I don’t know how good I am suggesting things to people, but I guess I can give it a try. You can try “ThingOnASpring” new version and that will be version 3.2 or you can wait for “Beasty & Leo” new ROM. Rumors going around that the new version is going to change the way we see our universal. So there is a big hype about their new ROM.

First of all, thanks for the reply!
Actually I've recently learnt to upgrade, so about 3 weeks ago I used:
'htc_uni_wm5_2[1].041_tmob_unbranded'
then about 2 weeks ago I found:
http://vidmes.com/Uni/Kitchens/ranju...1933_18533.rar
(this one really made me realize that I am using '520mhz' device)
Then few days ago I found another update: (which I am still using and suffering from)
http://vidmes.com/Uni/ROMs/Jwrightmc...2010_11500.zip
There was so much mentioned about this ROM on the forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=352203
This makes my device 'ONLY' look great but performance has declined, significantly:
wm6 professional 5.2.1938 (build 18538.0.7.0)
Rom ver: 2.12.08, dated: 12/15/07
extrom ver: 2.12.010 wwe, protocol: 42.54.p8, radio ver: 1.18
(I think this makes my device G3 ! Right ?)
So, Please share ur experiacne and advice me what to do next.
Thanks once again!

Dear Faraz.Riaz,
Thanks alot for ur concern in my problem!
I read about 'thingonaspring' but I got confused when I read this warning:
'Before flashing ANY 5.2.19xx-based ROM your phone should be fully unlocked and SuperCID, otherwise it may lock up or crash randomly'
I wasn't able to understand what actually 'full unlocked and SuperCID' meant.. I was also confused that how to make my device superCID.
If you have any knowledge about it... please do let me know!
and u r rite about 'Beasty & Leo' ROM, even I've read same things about it so let's hope for the best !
I'm really inspired by the work and cooperation of these Master Minds here, working & always helping dumies like me
I know I have to be always right part of being who I am. Seriously, I did have a chance to see “beasty & leo” new ROM up close and I am really impressed. You can take my word for it I don’t get inspired by too many things. Now don’t be too hard on yourself, no one here thinks you are a dummy. Check you PM (private Message).

Hi i recently puchased a O2 XDA11s that has been upgraded to WM6.5 pro by Xplode. Trouble is 5 min after i turned it on it had a white screen with a message thanking me for using the beta version and saying it has expired.
The whole thing then looks up. A hard reset will repeat the process. It will go into boot loader mode but have been unsucessfull in making any changes.
Any way to fix this???
I am a newby to this so use simple words please.
cheers Robert
Welcome to the forum
Perhaps that ROM has a time bomb
Have a deep read here and perhaps you have to change your ROM

Good luck,

I had the exact problem with my X7500 Advantage. The ROM installed is no good as it is timed to expire.
You just have to find another ROM from a different ROM cook. Search the forums on xda-developers.
hi guys thanks for the comments. I will read (study) the link. I should have added that the whole thing seems to work ok if I just set the date wrong.
the rom data is 6.5.21wwe, r 1.12.00, 133.47 if that helps identify the version loaded
cheers Robert
You are using an old sys version that had a timebomb. Just update to a newer version. Most of the builds from the past month have the timebomb removed.
go groove they need this
Yeah xplode's old roms all stop working after a while. Try using the new R7 release
thanks guys, can anyone provide a link to one of the later versions without the timbomb please, the only ones I can find are back in march on pliny.
cheers Robert
I want to install Android on my phone , even the Dual Boot Android , but i just want to make sure i have the latest version of Android that will be stable on my phone. Please post a link of tha latest version if u know, and care 2 help me. Ty

UPDATE: My comment does not add anything to this thread. Sorry. I feel like I should delete it, but somehow I think what's done is done.
hi,
there are multiple threads related to HD7 getting upgrade to mango beta.
I tried some of them but nothing seems to work out for me as this is all new to me i am little afraid too that i might brick my phone.
So please if anyone can help without yelling try search button then it will be lot helpful coz i already tried my best to find answers from search but there are millions of lines to be read to be able to understand anything and i am in hurry coz if phone doesnt update in 2 days i will have to sell third day..
so here are the details of phone.
Os version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.16901.707
hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software: 5.54.09.21.22.33b.50.10U
so if anyone can help me get mango beta then it will be the best.
and i had updated to NODO so i dont know now how to jailbreak it coz i want to get good applications which are not available in marketplace.
skype is necessary for me.
if someone can help in that too then it will be best.
thanx in advance
just search
I mean seriously if you're too lazy to read the instructions of how to do it, how do you expect anyone to even help you?
Secondly if you're afraid of bricking, don't do it. EOD
The mango beta isn't meant for consumers, but for developers. Yeah xda provided this for us but that's it. If you're afraid of doing it, don't do it.
Why don't you actually tell us what's wrong with the phone when you try update it?
Also, try the search button.
A little search done this for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149265

Moved to Q&A
Hi all,
I have the note 10.1 GT-N8000 on android 4.4.2 and i want to upgrade it to a stable Android 6.0 ROM
Can some one please point me to an idiots guide on flashing a new stable ROM on this tablet.
i have read a lot of threads here but they are all dating back to 2013 and i'm not sure if the information on them are still relevant.
cheers
NEW +Stable = no .
Old = yes but 4.4.2 as thats the last Samsung build .
Android 6 no release for Note 10.1
One Android 6 rom posted in Alpha stage at present and very unlikely to be other Nougat based roms . .

For Marshmallow, CM13 is your best choice.
If you don't need MM specifically, CM14/LineageOS runs well (Nougat); it's what I'm using.
You have to labour to read the threads' initial discussions and latest discussions at least. If you don't want to spend hours on this, then just stick with what you have, hire someone to do it for your, or buy a new device. Flashing is not for the impatient.

I don't mind reading because it also helps with more knowledge about this, however some of the methods of rooting dates back to 2012 and the threads have about 66 pages and over 500 comments.
If i can see a step-by-step guide, i can do the rooting myself.
Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Easy way 2017 would be to flash a custom recovery through Odin .
Then find supersu zip and flash that through recovery .
Not all custom roms require rooting it depends upon the instructions .
You want a rom then you choose and read the instructions first .
PS you also require a rom that's actually got a download as many roms are dead on here .
I highly recommend Lirokoa's unofficial LineageOS/Nougat ROM. No real bugs and it runs beautifully.
i had done some reading on the Lirokoa Lineage ROM thread, The ROM it self even still on Alpha stage, Runs beautifully. but some people stated that the Cell standby draining more Battery compare to SOT. well thats just from what i read, i personally havent try it myself. But its the Newest ROM for my N8000, im looking forward for it to reach Stable stage
