Philz you beauty! Welcome to the P5100 land! Finally something to look forward to in this otherwise zzzz P5100 forum. I was really planning to sell off this tablet due to the lack of top notch recoveries and kernels. Now I have eternal hope because Philz our saviour is here!
People, you just have to try his Kernels. He is a legend! Just check out the Note N7000 forums if you want to check out his fabulous work and fan following
About touch:
1- when you touch a menu to select: is the selection precise and working as expected
2- bottom virtual buttons: do they work as expected?
3- If it is slow, try to reduce the Scroll Sensitivity setting and reduce menu height. Play with both to find a sweet point¨
Try to describe what happens with precision. A video would even be better, so that I can get what you mean. I won't be able to help much as I do not have the device, without these
Here are the screenshots. The touch works perfect. There's no lag whatsoever. The bottom navigation buttons work as they should. Hopefully we'll be gifted with a Kernel soon
This works great on my 5113. The Aroma file manager seems really useful. I wasn't totally sure how to set it up so I'll write the steps here in case anyone else is wondering.
I downloaded the zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108
You can "install" the zip file from recovery which really just runs the file manager. It doesn't really install anything. When you exit you go back to recovery.
However, if you want to use it from inside PhilZ's recovery do this:
Go to /sdcard/clockworkmod
Create a directory called .aromafm
Copy the zip file you downloaded into that directory
Change the name of the zip file to aromafm.zip
Now you can use the Aroma FM menu item from the recovery to launch the file manager. The first time you run it from a new location you get the "help" overlay screen. I did the above steps in the file manager itself. Pretty cool. And having a terminal from inside recovery is great when you need to fix something and aren't at home.

Big thanks for the screen shots. At least I can see how the display is looking
I decided on purpose to not enlarge the bottom buttons as I thought it would be harder to use them if spread along all the width. Is it ok?
As for menu toggle options not being completely right aligned, it is a limitation in current stock CWM, and I feel no need to increase the buffer to make it right align

Forgot about that, but you still have to do the setup to put the zip file with the right name in the hidden directory, no?

Yes, the touch works perfect. Flashed 2-3 ROM's just for fun for testing it. The double tap and other shortcuts (the ones i checked) are all cool.
And yes the bottom navigation buttons are also good at this size. Infact they're perfect for the wider screen. Cheers!

Actually, I may have found a problem related to the 5113. I have installed some kernels through this recovery but when I went to install the latest CM nightly I get an assert failure where it is looking for p5110 or p5113. I've installed many of these in the past. I may revert to old CWM and see if it works, but I feel it must be related to this recovery, perhaps because it doesn't know I have a 5113?
Update: Reverting to normal stock worked.

CM ROMs have an extra safety check which cant be avoided by deleting assert prop lines in updater script.
It's under META-INF\com\android\metadata
With N7000 it shows this - "post-build=samsung/GT-N7000/GT-N7000:4.0.3/IML74K/ZCLP6:user/release-keys

By the way, since you have a note 2. Can you let me know your opinion about touch difference between note 2 and this one?
Also, if you post a recent recovery.img from sammobile.com, i will repack for p5110 if needed

Get root permissions and try to delete it from file explorer app like ES File Manager.
Else, take a backup of your data and perform full wipe operation from recovery.
Is it actually affecting your phone in some way? Taking up storage? If not, does it really matter?

Ok, but if you don't know what it is or what it does or why it's there, then maybe removing it isn't the greatest idea. It could have a function.

this is normal, it happens sometimes with my computer as well after connecting the phone via usb cabel. It is a bug because there is not any drive in your storage. In my case it show more than one drive sometimes dont worry about this and leave it as it is.

Your posted image doesn't show a secure storage--it shows a windows shortcut.
The secure storage you see in your file manager I'm sure is a CM file manager FEATURE for you to make an encrypted folder or what-have-you. There isn't really a folder there until you create one by clicking on it and providing a password, hence--it can't be deleted. I dont' know if it will even provide a folder that's deletable after you click on it and provide a password.
This is something you can prolly learn more about from the CM11s people who made it.

Unfortunately I think you're out of luck. The whole idea of encryption is that the password you create is the only password that will unlock it. Forget the password and you have no access.

I'm guessing you created a protected drive with the CM File Manager (stock one)?
To remove it, open CM File Manager, from the drawer enter settings by tapping the gear. In settings tap Storage option.
There should be an option to delete it.
As we have all seen with this latest STOCK G935U [BQD2] Firmware for T-Mobile indeed it runs smooth and personally I have experienced better performance without all those carrier-bloat applications by default. Dating a week ago, I tried to root this build version and for some reason I experienced infinite bootloops after my device boots up. So I did some research as to what system apps could be causing this I still I can't believe that a network-related system application was causing this issue.
I am talking about com.samsung.sprint.chameleon as mentioned by @qwewqa here -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/4-28-t-mobile-935-firmware-t3597866/page10
I will not go in-depth about what this is but this relates to a network configuration. I will post a reference on this if you guys feel like checking out...

FAST & STABLE ROOT METHOD FOR THE G935U under T-Mobile // S7 EDGE
1 - Download & Flash Via Odin the latest Firmware provided on this post. Thanks to @justda
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/4-28-t-mobile-935-firmware-t3597866
------------ HERE COMES THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP ON THIS GUIDE ----------
2 - Install Package Disabler Pro from OSPolice. Play Store link ...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro&hl=es
3 - Open the application, activate Device Administrator, just hit next or ok or just follow through the setup and once the apps list loads up look for the system app with the name of: com.samsung.sprint.chameleon. Go ahead clear data and DISABLE it. After you are done disabling this system app, you are now safe and good to follow through the root method below.
4 - I suggest that you use the root.bat file provided by @Quickvic30 on this thread to root your device
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/heres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502
IF YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY BOOTED UP YOUR DEVICE PAST THE SAMSUNG SCREEN WITHOUT ENDING UP IN BOOTLOOPS (Bootloops may occur within 30 seconds after booting up from the Samsung Screen) THATS IT, YOU ARE DONE!

Since I don't see any mention of using the engineering kernel should I assume this method does not work for US models?
So basically you take qwewqa's discovery, make no mention of him, then pass it off as your own. Then copy and paste some steps from other people, and submit it as your work?

As referred in the procedure section. The main and original root method goes to the forum thread linked above. As I briefly specified in the background info section, this is just a quick fix in performance and stability when applying root to this build.

I didn't copy nor plagiarize any information from their respective owners. Credits are given, very briefly detailed information on the steps as to the main reason of this thread is just giving the list and proceed with the order of steps to successfully achieve root. The link that I attached in regards to the conflicting system app that where I noticed the issue with other models.
I didn't look into @qwewqa thread comment regarding this, and I apologize and edited to credit him on this finding.
The debloat list provided is extremely aggresive. It removes the stock gallery, stock calender, lock screen wallpaper, stock contacts, Bluetooth, and all google back up services.
Your list is great for the hardcore folks BUT you have to go back through the lost and re-enable the apps and clear the data then re disable them.

As a matter of fact, the root.bat from @Quickvic30 does all the jobs needed. I strongly suggest running his method. No L Speed, no Kernel Adiutor. Just Titanium Backup to freeze/uninstall bloatware.

6. hit the uninstall button. On left side you'll see the progress - finish
you also have several other options with this tool on right side of the window. I've tried the tool today and everything is working!

This tool has a option to enable camer2api. Will it work on RN6P? Is it safe to use?

Interested in that, thanks for the hint!
Is there also, and I'm asking very carefully, like you ask ur Grandma for a piece of cake, is it by any chance possible to place root somehow? I guess someone had said it already, if so but also maybe, I'm the first on
I'm desperate because of 720 hours delay
Thanks!

There Isn't a screen recorder or secure folder on the SM-A226B you can use calculator+ and flash a android 13 GSI to use the screen recorder.
You can enable screenrecorder by modifiying some lines in /system/etc/floating_feature.xml
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_SUPPORT_SCREEN_RECORDER>TRUE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_SUPPORT_SCREEN_RECORDER>
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_SCREEN_RECORDER_ITEM>-pip</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_SCREEN_RECORDER_ITEM>
Without spaces. If there is already the value simply change to this. I'm working on a way to enable secure folder in my free time. First tests were successful however there are still some problems. I'm extracting files from A13 5G (SM-A136B) because it has the same chipset as A22 5G and has secure folder

thanks!!!! will this work on any other phone other than a226b?
and do you know of any file manager app that can actually edit system files (i have a good one called filemanager+ but it can only read even if i do mount -o remount,rw /
Yes, it should. If this doesn't work there is another line that may need to be changed. Make sure you have at least one ui 3. Updating Samsung Capture may be required (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu.../samsung-capture-5-4-22-android-apk-download/) Let me know.
I do not know any good file manager because I modify system files with Magisk. You can use termux. Pull file to pc or use quick edit on phone.

um how can i fix "system partition doesnt have enough free space" when trying to convert newer samsung capture to system app
You don't need to convert. Just update with apk when phone on. Like every app. I made a mistake in the link. I fixed it. The file should exist on every Samsung one ui device.

oh bruh i deleted system app and reinstalled
An apk of Samsung capture must remain in the /system partition in order to get priv-app permissions
I recommend you to reinstall original firmware (One UI 5.1 if it is available in your region) then modify floating_feature.xml.
This file is placed in every samsung device in /system/etc/floating_feature.xml
You do not have to create nothing. Just modify it add that lines. In my firmware (official one UI 5.1) the second line is already placed in the file. So I simply added:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_SUPPORT_SCREEN_RECORDER>TRUE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_SUPPORT_SCREEN_RECORDER>
in the middle of the file

i still didnt have the file i made it and updated capture but didnt get screen recorder even after reboot :/ am on android 11 and im not updating especially as theres bootloader update
For me it is working. The file floating_feature.xml needs to exist. if it doesn't exist this means your firmware version is old and it doesn't have modern one UI. I don't know how I can help you more

I'll try to download your file from AVA1 as soon as I can and I'll patch it
