Hi guys,
i try to root my s7 (930F, exynos) with cf autoroot.
I have a locksreen before the phone starts, i only guess its before or right after bootloader (after the recovery restart to bootloader menu)
Is there any way to bypass this?
What i tried:
- some restart and draw the exact pattern, and a few wrong too
- android-findmydevice not working
- cleared cache
- adb sideload can be reached via recovery, and the rm gesturekey thingy also not working, only "error" result
- dont want to do factory reset, but if thats the only option ... :S
if i could do it that would be a nice xmass gift Thanks
Update #1: did a factory reset, not helped, even worse
Update #2: installed TWRP then flashed TGP 1.2

5.1.1 means your phone has a sytem write protection, so it tried to reboot into recovery itself after auto-reboot => bootloop.
Do you have TWRP installed?
If not, flash Unikernel (you need a custom kernel with this bootloader) and TWRP, then use TWRP to wipe/factory reset and flash any ROM.

Use TWRP to wipe cache/dalvik and do a factory reset-
did you check the ROM you used was for your special device, and checked its md5-sum?
I personally would try downloading another one and flash again; once it works, do a backup in TWRP; very easy and done in 3mins.
Maybe you should try to manually log on to your network to see if this works first, in "network settings" tap the line to automatically choose your provider; should be it.
I used 4-file G920FXXU2COI1, after reboot phone not started so I flash Unikernel via Odin, now phone is turned on, but sometimes touchwiz was stopped, maps was stopped etc, phone find my network, but I can't logged

Hi,
last month I received an OTA update on my stock OPO Cyanogen 12.1, ever since then my settings app have disappeared (cannot access it at all, not even from safe mode)
a week ago I started receiving an OTA notification to update to the latest firmware (20MB download) (I think it's Yog4pas3jl)
anyway I was not able to update it, i would get booted back into recovery (OnePlus recovery)
*this phone does not have its USB debugging let alone developer options enabled.
in recovery I attempted to factory reset the phone (after half way attempting to unlock bootloader using Android SDK, Universal ADB and CMD)
now it appears that my phone has been "reset" but at the selecting language screen I keep getting Unfortunately CyanogenStats has stopped, and also getting Unfortunately Setup Wizard has stopped working (after tapping on language)
I can't use my phone now as I can't get past the setup wizard,
it does not appear that I am able to boot into recovery as well, please help me!
*UPDATE able to enter Cyanogen Recovery, tried wiping cache/factory reset, still stuck at Setup Wizard has stopped working. Oh no..
Try flashing a custom recovery and wipe dalvik+chache+data (doing that will not delete your sdcard). I also got such FCs in the past and that fixed it for me.
Try to flash system partition (or full firmware) via fastboot. Just follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guides-bacon-timmaaas-how-to-guides-t2839471, "8. How To Flash The Cyanogen OS Fastboot Images".
P.S.
You could get full firmware here: http://builds.cyngn.com/cyanogen-os.../cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3JL-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip
Hey there
I am trying to factory reset my phone without recovery.
A day I was trying to install TWRP but I forgot to unlock bootloader -_-
So I can't access recovery. But I have downloaded the recovery.img frol the official wiko website, but I don't know how to install it.
Or, if it's possible, making a factory reset without recovery.
I can access to adb, but I think fastboot isn't accessible because when I reboot on bootloader it's blocked on wiko image.
I have root but since I have uninstall SuperSU app accidently I think it's doesn't work, because the deny/allow window respond approximately after 15 seconds but the notification "app has been granted super user permissions" isn't displayed.
At the startup I get a message who say's my phone has an internal problem and he will not work properly if I don't make a factory reset.
Sorry for my English, I'm french
[EDIT 07/01/2018 - 15:39]
I have searched for installing stock recovery.img file via adb, and I found that post : goo.gl/JhmEx4
I have make a factory reset, I'm still waiting for result, I'm blocked at Rainbow LITE 4G image at the moment.
[EDIT 07/01/2018 - 15:45]
My phone has booted in welcome screen !!!
It's working perfectly.
Hi! By mistake I flashed TWRP 3.3.1 with Samsung encryption ON, so I got a bootloop. I managed to get the latest stock firmware and flash it without removing data, so it boots and I can see notifications from my apps. The problem is I can't unlock the phone now: I draw the pattern but the screen goes off and so on. I have a "screen lock loop".
Do you know if there is any way to solve this? What I want to do is removing Samsung encryption and flash TWRP to get root access. If I can do this without losing data would be great. If there is no option I suppose I can wipe data from stock recovery and start from the beginning (please let me know if I'm wrong).
Many thanks!
Kind regards.
My dad got the OTA update to 10.3.0 on xmas day and installed it. However the phone is now stuck on boot logo. He has a locked phone just as it came out of the box (ie no TWRP, no OEM unlock, no root).
I am quite experienced with installing custom ROMs but with locked phones I am lost. Is there anyway to recover the device without deleting data / factory reset? This is because my dad has quite a lot of pics on the device that are not backed up (yeah I know...).
Things I've tried so far:
- reboot holding power button + volume up
- boot flash twrp from fastboot - no permission due to phone being locked
- in stock recovery I do not get access to device via cable
- installed Tool all in One - it sees phone via fastboot
I always use the Stock Fastboot ROMs for OnePlus 6 myself to recover from soft bricks but this wipes data so no option here. Unless there is a way to install parts of ROM? Any other tips or ideas from the awesome XDA community? :good:
Btw this is the update he installed:
Screenshot of update that was installed
If you boot on twrp, it does not ask for the pin code to access the data?
Maybe try the last twrp for OOS 10.3.0 : ( https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261678088 )
Use command : fastboot flash boot twrp-3.3.1-16-enchilada-Q-mauronofrio.img
Try flash a new boot img :

The phone is not unlocked and therefore has no TWRP recovery. This is my problem, if it was unlocked I would have figured out a way to fix it.
PS it does ask for pincode when accessing stock recovery
I'm not sure if this works on locked bootloaders but try switching boot slots using fastboot.
Couple of weird things:
-you don't need an unlocked bootloader for fastboot to boot back into the system
-the dual partition was designed precisely to prevent things like this from happening. When an update fails, you are supposed to roll back to the old slot you were on previously.
Anyway, since you are able to boot to fastboot, can you try to get to stock recovery again from fastboot and see if you can boot up to system from there?
Hey
You can try to change the boot slot using fastboot mode
It can help uh maybe
Its worth to try

When I try to set it to slot A (it's B now) it says device does not support slots which is weird as 'fastboot getvar current-slot' does show it using slot B right now.
When I try to set it to B (ie current slot) it says: FAILED (remote: 'Slot Change is not allowed in Lock State').

When I reboot to stock recovery it gives two options:
- Wipe Data and Cache
- Advanced
There are two reboot options under Advanced:
1. Reboot to fastboot
2. Reboot to recovery
2nd option just boots it back to this same recovery. Boot to fastboot works as well. So there is no option to reboot the device.
Perhaps I can try to flash the stock ROM (kinda of dirty flash) but again not sure if that works on locked phone.

This doesn't work unfortunately on a locked device.
I found the fix and it was very simple: in Recovery under Wipe Data and Cache it has the option to delete 1. System Settings 2. Cache 3. Wipe all (incl Data).
I choose option 1 (System Settings) and after that it booted and I had to set up phone again as with a new install but all data on sd card had remained. I did lose all apps but that is a very minor thing.
Thanks for everyone who thought along with me. We got there in the end

I am facing similar problem with my OP5. When I boot in recovery, it asks for pattern to unlock. But does not accept any pattern. In the absence of pin, it gives option to Wipe Data. Will I get similar options like you did ? I am hoping to save my data.
