[Request] Remove snap to grid

Would it be possible to allow icons to be placed anywhere on the screen without having to align to the grid? That would be nice...

yea it would be nice to have the freedom to place widgets/icons anywhere. i kinda liked how you can do that with maemo

Oh sure, seeking "underground" music is a worthwhile effort. I never said that it wasn't. Neutral Milk Hotel for instance offers a very intelligent sound for never having made it into the limelight... but ICP??? C'mon, even you must agree...
And where do I find the "menstuation" app??? I have never heard the term before. Is it next to the spelling app per chance?

I definitely agree with Neutral Milk Hotel, but in regards to other music (just like various lifestyles lol) to each his own.

+1 for ICP and placing Widgets anywhere. I love all this witty thread banter. Have to watch your xda thread Rep and not lose all that "street cred"

The Samsung Behold II on T-mobile allows you to place shortcuts, etc., on the homescreen and there's no snap-to-grid. You can put them wherever... so I'm sure it can be done.

You know, it's funny. I really don't even listen to ICP anymore. Started listening to them about 13 years ago and made screennames which reflected the group/album/song. Now, I still use the names for consistency more than anything else. Just funny, the assumptions that get made.

My main point on this whole thread was to bring to light an idea that I felt would be beneficial... not start a flame war...

To make this a useful post, I do think it would be awesome to have a feature like this on out phones. I do not know if hardware wise it would be supported since it has not been done on any other android phone.

This strikes me as incredible dumb, and incredibly naive on the part of Samsung. They really should not be promoting such a dangerous habit. It might "help" by showing you the road, but you are still distracted. Can;t wait to see samsung sued for such a blatantly stupid feature

Yes, because when you think ROAD you think "Lets talk a walk", moron. They can say its for walking, that doesnt mean people wont use it while driving. In fact, I'd wager the majority of its users will be driving.

Well I wouldn't share it either.
This would break their trust and besides that it may have side effects in the long term we are not aware of, they may need to finalize the firmware before rolling it out.

Agree, people provide a secret firmware fix as a trust to you, just don't break the trust. Some 'Clever' people are simply ridiculous.
Some said he will share straight away once he confirms it is fixed.
some ask the OP to upload the fix at some other link so people can share the fix..

I saw there is one large jerk who has sold his poco f1 because of the touch issue and change to Nokia 7 plus.
Now that this post is out, he is now spamming and spreading virus in there.

Look I was unoptimistic as well, but this has been fixed before with this exact same method on another device I owned myself, so it can be fixed.
The thing is Xiaomi hasn't ever provided feedback on this issue, that's why everyone, me included, thought this wouldn't get fixed.
Now that we have video evidence I'm confident this will be resolved as well.
P. S. if you're baiting, it's a hell of a bad one fyi.

The measuring is done with the android developer option: "Show pointer location." not with PUBG.
Ping has nothing to do with that.
If you had some basic technology knowledge you would know these are different things and wouldn't have posted what you posted.

Well since a dev managed to find a fix I'd think this would be included in the next beta or two, and most likely in the next stable as well.
(if no side effects are found that is)
I understand your frustration, but don't tell me about it, since this annoyed me so much that I refunded my phone just for this, and use a redmi note 3, my backup phone, for the time being.

Ping cause lag ? It's shows the game screen not moving during 1000ms but pointer detected and moves,lol have you watch the video at all ,you the one that posted the link ?

I was died with activation.

Activation of Zen should require authentication, because having people be able to temporarily brick your phone if you let them use it is problematic.

I did so I could be forced to stop using my phone before going to bed, it helped a lot with me not being able to play with my phone and just focus on going to sleep. When you use it for the intended purpose its very effective.

What I find hard to believe is there actually has to be an app for this LOL. It's really a simple concept, Just put your phone down.
