This device has been unlocked and cant be trusted. - Nokia 3 Questions & Answers

My device now boots to the android logo, says "orange state, this device has been unlocked and cant be trusted" and then shows battery charging screen and will not boot.
How can I boot it into recovery/bootloader so I can relock the bootloader?
I see that the MTK Preloader is avalable at boot via USB so is there a way to use that to boot it into fastboot or relock the bootloader?

Did this happen when you were trying to root your phone?
Anyway to enter bootloader, connect your phone to your laptop, hold down the power button and the volume up button. After some seconds you should see a countdown. You can release the buttons when the countdown reaches 0

Does exactly the same thing, device wont turn on by holding power button when it is not connected to usb either. Are you ture this is a TA-1020?

I think the buttons may have disconnected inside.......

Ouch!
If you're not worried about your warranty, you can try opening it up. On the other hand, why not take it to HMD/Nokia support?

Because they know me and they wont do **** :3

Any chance of you chatting with me over Discord / IRC for easier messaging?

Sorry, I don't use either of them

I did accidently disconnect the buttons when I took it apart earlier to disconnect the battery as it doesn't "boot in 5 seconds" like it says and holding down the power button does nothing and wont make it reboot.

The button combination does nothing. I will have to use SP Flash Tools to create a backup and see if I can manualy relock bootloader....

It seems to work now, locked bootloader and it seems to boot, currently stuck on "powered by android" logo, might be taking a while after supersu first boot? I'll check logs if it doesn't boot in the next 30 mins.

So basically your phone isn't starting up at all. Do you think you can put the buttons back together? Also one other thing, whenever my phone doesn't start up, 5 seconds holding the power button is usually not enough. I generally have to hold the power button and the volume up button and hold for 20 - it doesn't actually reach 20 but usually exceeds 10 seconds

Anyway 30 mins is long enough. I think it should start up before then

It seems to work as in show the android screen and work for file access over MTP but it doesn't look like it is gonna pass the android logo.

I use linux... I guess i'll just use virtualbox and usb passthrough then.
Where can I get stock rom for TA-1020 and working OST from?

I tried flashing NE1-215H-0-00WW-B02.nb0 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...ia-8-official-firmware-links-updated-t3678487
However it boots and is stuck in the "powered by android" screen, don't think it's the correct rom for the TA-1020, can anyone find one for my device?

NE1-147I-ind-0-00WW-B02.nb0 and NE1-147C-UAE-0-00WW-B01.nb0 are also for the nokia3. I don't know if anyone of them will work with the TA-1020 though

Confirmed works. Also make sure to flash magisk!
I went through setup, enabled unlock bootloader, unlocked the bootloader, used `fastboot boot TWRP.img` in order to boot into twrp, I then flashed magisk and rebooted back to android.
After that I rebooted into bootloader and used `fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img`.
If you don't flash magisk and keep the bootloader unlocked then you wont get passed the "orange state".
If you don't flash magisk but flash recovery then you wont be able to get passed the "red state".
That is why I booted into TWRP and installed magisk before I actualy flashed anything.
I will create a guide later.

[Q] Stuck on HTC, Can't boot into bootloader

Hello all,
I rooted my HTC One XL a couple weeks back, installed CM10 (all was working fine), and in the process of installing the latest CM10 nightly, something went wrong. Flashed boot.img, then rom, then gapps. Wiped cache and dalvic cache, asked TWRP to restart system. This is where it's stuck now. It won't go past the htc logo, and I can't get into the bootloader by holding down power+vol down.
What did I do wrong? Is this fixable? Any help is greatly appreciated!
H8rift is working on a solution right now. If you can flash back to a backup? I would do so.

First off, can you get into TWRP, and do you have a backups of the time before you flashed the rom. When you hold power+vol down are you holding power until the home back and kill app buttons flash 6 times then release and hold vol down around 7 seconds till you see the screen with android skateboarders(Bootloader)
Second, I think their is a kit (Hasoons) Which you can try to boot you into bootloader or twrp recovery. But if your phone powers on, then i think your device is not a paperweight yet so dont worry to much as i think it can be fixed.

I can't get into TWRP, and I have backups on the device. I am sorry for being a dummy, but you're saying the manual way to enter the boot loader is to hold power+voldown for 6 flashes, then release the power button but hold the voldown for 7 more seconds? I've just been holding down both for the full 15 flashes. I am going to look up Hasoons rn.

You are supposed to hold Power and Volume Down until the screen shuts off, then let go of power and continue holding volume down

So your saying you can't get into bootloader but, you got into TWRP?
The correct way to get into bootloader is hold power+vol down until screen goes off, then release power button.
If that doesn't work you can try to open bootloader through the fastboot cmd prompt.(if you ahve Win7 just open the file where fastboot is, hold shift+right click and you can open the prompt from there)

your serial number should be on the screen if fastboot recognizes your phone. but I was always able to get into bootloader through commands on the phone.

It's always best to Nandroid before you flash a ROM.
I didn't and I almost made my phone into a very expensive paperweight. Thank god for RUUs.
I also tried to flash a ROM that was for the international version and not the XL which is our phone.
Mods will eventually Close it, just ingnore the thread and it will be closed soon.
If you want to, I know posting a thread in here can amount to a long wait time, just shoot me a PM and I'll give you my email. I get that directly to my phone so I'll be able to reply a lot quicker.
I have the same problem as this guy, but when I hol the volume down button, it has no effect... I hold vol down and power, lights flash 15 times, I keep holding volume down while phone reboots, but no matter how long I hold it down, it just stays at the HTC legal screen.
Was running CM 10.0, and updated to 10.1 (9-3-2012 nightly) with 3-03-2013 GAPPS, via TWRP. Made a backup before flash, Installed both the zips succefully, pressed reboot, and now it doesn't get past the legal screen, and no button pressing is getting me back to TWRP =(
I replaced the screen once, and the volume buttons behaved differently after I re-assembled. Both the buttons work, but they act differently. Pressing vol down or vol up both bring up the volume dialog, but instead of increasing or decreasing the amount, it swtiches between mute and non mute. So I'm thinking the button is not actually doing a 'volume down' action. Any thoughts?
AND, how do you actually turn this device off? It keeps turning itself back on after the 15 flashes.
Thanks for any help.

[Q] T-Mobile LG G2 stuck in fastboot, can't get into recovery

Update: I messed around with fastboot a bit more and managed to brick it entirely. It's stuck in a boot loop now -- it won't even power off -- and there's nothing I can do about it, so I just took it in to get it replaced.
Hey guys, I know this thread is very similar to others that have been posted, but I've already looked through them and haven't found anything that works for me yet.
My phone was already running rooted stock with TWRP for the recovery. I tried flashing CM10.2 but it was for the wrong model (I downloaded D802 but my phone is of course D801. Oops). Upon reboot, the LG splash screen appeared and then immediately went to a black screen saying
Code:
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
When I attempt to turn the phone off it just reboots to that screen again. I am still able to use fastboot, and have tried wiping the phone and re-flashing TWRP. It doesn't throw any errors but I still can't actually boot into recovery. I can't use fastboot to flash a new ROM onto the phone though, since it doesn't like .zip archives apparently, and I can't find a .img file of a ROM anywhere.
When I try to use flashtool as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541087 it says the device is not connected (probably because it's not in download mode?).
Any help would be much appreciated. All I need to do is get into recovery, it shouldn't be this hard.
That's the same error I got a few days ago when I mis-flashed a new recovery (oops. and be careful when you use 'dd', because a typo can nuke your recovery). I'd get that error message if I tried to boot into recovery, but if I just let the phone boot, it would boot fine. It was easy to fix, but that was because I just used Terminal Emulator to re-flash recovery.
Your best bet might be to go back to stock. Try this thread.
similar issue, but not quite

I'm not in a boot loop, as I can power off and it will stay off. But I am stuck at the Fastboot mode started screen (I can't get download mode to come up). When I do try to get into download mode it flashes for a second, but then goes back to the fastboot mode screen.
I'm hoping to find an image that I can use the fastboot flash recovery command with to re-write my recovery partition.
Any suggestions on where to find this image file? Or am I going down the wrong path?
Thanks,
Joseph
Did you get it to work? I am in the same mode.
I'm stuck here as well. Looking for a fix

any solution
i cant boot at all, not into download mode, nor recovery,
got this too because i was installing a note3 rom to my d800, acciodentally of coarse. i managed to boot to twrp by doing the power and volume down technique. and from twrp i restored my recent backup
To anyone still stuck in this situation (reboot loop, no recovery etc):
- Unplug the phone from the USB cable
- Hold down the power until the phone turns off
- Wait a couple of minutes with the phone off
- Now hold power and volume down buttons
- When LG logo appears - release power and volume down and hold them again
- When you see a white screen with "reset to default instructions" -- do what it says, meaning pressing the power button a couple of times
THAT should work.

Not sure if you've tried this. To power off fully, press and hold the volume down and power buttons. Do not let go of the buttons. The phone should turn off and the LG logo should appear. Continue holding until after the LG logo disappears. The phone should be fully off and won't turn back on at this point. If you don't see the LG logo, just keep the buttons pressed for about 10-15 seconds and you should be fully powered off by then. You should be able to enter download mode from here (press and hold volume up button while plugging in USB from computer). If you are able to enter download mode, then use the LG mobile support tool in my thread and follow the instructions. This should flash the latest stock system to your phone. If that doesn't work, I have a link to an alternate method for flashing the latest stock system on your phone. Hope this helps.

hard bricked my MT-TL10

Hi there,
Kindly help... I successfully installed B512 on my TL10 using force upgrade method, afterwhich I changed recovery to TWRP 3.0.2 using mobopx v2.2, which was also successful. And then I installed SuperSU 2.46 via TWRP, then cleared cache/dalvik. But upon rebooting system, I get a blank screen, even after waiting for more than 15 minutes.
And so I tried going to TWRP (Vol+ and power), which was successful, in order to boot to bootloader, with the intention of loading back the stock bootloader via adb, so that I can force install B512 from my microSD card again. It seemed to install fine...
However, at this point, I cannot reboot to bootloader (Vol- and power) anymore, I only get blank screen. Trying recovery (Vol+ and power) doesn't work either. Rebooting normally gives me the same. I cannot by any means connect via adb now.
Is there any way to unbrick my phone at this point?
Thanks so much. Cheers.

You seem to be in a sticky situation bro. Your recovery seems to be broken because in stock recovery Vol up + power should ideally take you to recovery and not restart. If you could somehow boot into fastboot mode then it could open up some options to bring your phone to life.
With no way to connect to the phone the only options left are the hardware buttons. I am sure you'd have tried them already, but just in case you have not, try the other 2 key combinations also, Vol down + power and Vol up + Volume down + power, for ~10 secs, to check if any of these either forces a factory reset or boots the phone into fastboot mode.

Go back to stock recovery reflash stock rom make sure you have a unlocked bootloader......all remember that Google is your friend.....

You seem to be in a sticky situation bro. Your recovery seems to be broken because in stock recovery Vol up + power should ideally take you to recovery and not restart. If you could somehow boot into fastboot mode then it could open up some options to bring your phone to life.

That's correct bro. Although it appears from adb that I was able to install the stock recovery, I cannot access it with Vol+ and power.
CloudCompute said:
With no way to connect to the phone the only options left are the hardware buttons. I am sure you'd have tried them already, but just in case you have not, try the other 2 key combinations also, Vol down + power and Vol up + Volume down + power, for ~10 secs, to check if any of these either forces a factory reset or boots the phone into fastboot mode.

Yes, I did. And I can't even boot to bootloader after all that... The phone only seems to charge, but is stuck at the logo.
I'm ready to send this to Huawei's service center. Is there anything more I can do at this point before I do that? Thanks so much.

Thanks bro, but that's what I did, or at least was planning to do. After rooting B512 via TWRP, the phone got stuck at the logo. And so I tried to install stock recovery, which it did, in order to reflash the stock ROM. But at this point I'm still stuck at the logo, and I can't access recovery and BL anymore. The BL is unlocked right from the start...

Did you try volume down and then plug USB in on computer then command prompt fast boot reboot it may work.

Go ahead, send it to Huawei service centre. They'll have ways to reach the internal memory after opening up the device.

Thank you for this suggestion brother. I tried exactly as you described, however, the phone looks badly discharged, and while the screen was blinking/showing the red battery icon, it doesn't seem to want to charge. I waited around 5 minutes, but nothing seems to progress from here.
And so now, I moved the USB cable to a proper charger, and now it seems to be charging, with the LED light a steady red, and the screen the normal red circle with "0%" inside. It seems to be charging at the moment, although I really have to wait until it shows "1%" until I can surely say so.
One thing that's different now is that the phone hasn't turned on (by itself) yet. And at least this looks promising.
I'll let you know what happens in a while... Thank you!

I was out of town for the past few weeks and didn't have time to do this. I'm back now and plan to work on this tonight. Thank you bro, I'll let you know how it goes...

I think I may have just hard-bricked my G3. Is there hope?

I (stupidly) decided to repartition my Moto G3 using this guide. Now, when trying to turn my phone on, the screen stays blank and there's no indication that it's working but it reboots once every two to five seconds or so (telling you how I can tell it's rebooting would be a long story and I'm sure it's irrelevant to the issue).
Am I just hooped or is there hope?
Can you boot in to bootloader?
If yes just flash stock firmware (should include partition layout)

Nope, all attempts to get into the bootloader fail. The screen just stays blank with no indication that it's doing anything at all (although behind the scenes it's actually rebooting once every few seconds). My (uneducated) guess is it can't even access any of the partitions.

Try to connect it to your pc and see if adb/fastboot sees the device.

Hey, since according to what you say your device is currently stuck in a boot-loop, I suggest you first take out the battery out for a few seconds and then put it back then enter recovery mode using the device buttons right after. only then connect your device to PC and use adb...

Or, since the battery is not officially removable, wait till the battery dies and then try to boot into bootloader.
Volume down broken
Hi! My mom's phone started to heavily slow down with its stock firmware so I tried to install a custom firmware since I installed one on mine and we both have Moto G3s.
Thing is, it bricked and the volume down button is dead since a few month so I don't have access to the bootloader, otherwise I would just flash the stock firmware. Only buttons working are volume up and on/off buttons.
Is there any way to access the bootloader with this button or am I screwed on this one ?

Can you boot the ROM?
If so, you should be able to turn on usb debugging and run 'adb reboot recovery' and reflash from there

what about fastboot devices (with admin/root privileges) ?

Problem accessing the twrp 3.1.1.0

Hi everyone. I have an honor 6x emui 5, android 7 Nougat, and I unlocked the bootloader but I have a problem (I followed this guide) after running the command C:\ adb> adb reboot recovery, it says:
"Your device has been unlocked and can not be trusted.
To learn more, visit:
...
your device is booting now "
but it stays stuck on this screen and does not let me access the twrp.
Do you have a solution?
I looked around for something but there is nothing concrete and clear. Thanks a lot.
Luigi (i'm not Mario's brother)
Hi Luigi (ouch, thought it was Mario's bro :silly: ), once you flash TWRP through fastboot, you boot directly to it in way to don't let Huawei Recovery overwrite it immediately after?
To do this, as you finish to flash the image you'll need to boot to TWRP using hardware keys (at least that's what i did to make it works). When you're still in fastboot mode and TWRP is flashed, keep pressed power button and wait until your phone's display becomes black.
Be ready to hold down power button and Vol+ together as soon as you feel the phone vibrating while restarting (pay many attention to this step because it's the trickiest part - power button should be released while phone it's on black screen, but you'll for have to re-hold down power button again shortly after! Basically just hold the two keys and release them immediately as you see the Honor logo) and if everything went well, you'll finally be in TWRP.
Lemme know if you'll be able to win the game or if you need a Power-Up mushroom.

but then this operation I have to execute it before or even after visualizing the screen that I have told you before?
The point is that the twrp does not flash ...:crying:
I tried several times to execute the sequence, and now it is stuck on the screen of the 3 options, ie it does not start anymore
he did not want to. How do I do now? I've tried any combination of buttons but it remains locked :crying:

Immediately after that you've flashed TWRP and you get "success" message, when you're still on fastboot mode. Just type "fastboot reboot" and prepare to hold the keys once phone vibrates.

Telling me what issues you're facing could help more than this. What you mean with TWRP does not flash?

That's weird. But until I'll know more about the steps you did, helping becomes harder. Tell me something because just flashing stuff to recovery partition could not mess system that much, unless that you've flashed a wrong TWRP or the correct TWRP but in a wrong partition.
