Facebook Timeline and WP7

Hello,
Just have a doubt that I would like to see if it happens only to me or is it for all.
I upgraded my Facebook profile last Wednesday with the new feature of Timeline (a new way to see our profile on Facebook).
Since this update on my Facebook page, I don't receive any "update" on my Me Tile on WP7.
I put videos, pictures and so on, bu my Tile still remains with the activity from Tuesday
Anyone noticed this?

Snake, do you have Timeline activated on your Facebook profile?
This is a new feature from Facebook

I don't understand why I stopped receiving actualizations on my profile on my WP7
Should I delete my account and configure it again?

Yes, tried a few times and nothing.
The only thing that I did not try is delete my account of Facebook on WP7 and then put it again on the device

Well you can always try, try to sync it first, if that doesn´t work, remove it from your phone, and from Windows Live afterwards, then readd it again, see if it works, also, check the Windows Phone application permissions within app settings on facebook, maybe something got "switched" or blocked.

Problem solved.
Just deleted my account on device and readd it again, all working fine now.

I noticed that other peoples walls with facebook timeline wont update on my phone, and I tried deleting facebook from my phone and readding it, but their walls still wont update from last week when they got timeline :/ Do I have to remove facebook from windows live or something?

WP´s access to facebook is done using custom developed app, this app is considered third party, thus if user blocks accessing his info for 3rd party apps, he blocks the windows phone. But try completely removing it

[Q} My Gmail Sync Screws up every other week now

it has been a while now, my Google Account is screwing up the sync to my Samsung Sgs2 every 2 weeks or so, I used to remove and put back the Google account and that fixed it. now that doesn't work anymore.
unless I click on "sync" is not doing anything so basically not "pushing" emails anymore....
is there something that could fix it? ive reinstalled gmail, etc etc. nothing helped... I am assuming I should reinstall the OS?

Before reinstalling the OS itself, and even if clearing google framework data is not really recommended, you can apply this workaround:
Workaround:
I force-stopped, cleared data on "Google Services Framework", Gmail app, and Play Store. Rebooted the device. Open Play Store, Agree to the terms. Open Gmail, let it do its "first time setup" (takes about 2 minutes).

as usual, XDA delivers, I have done the steps you mentioned and my Sync is up and running again. Let's see if it holds from now on.

something bad must have happened last night / this morning. I had again the sync problem, gmail not download any email or sending anything out from my mobile.
I did again
Workaround:
I force-stopped, cleared data on "Google Services Framework", Gmail app, and Play Store. Rebooted the device. Open Play Store, Agree to the terms. Open Gmail, let it do its "first time setup" (takes about 2 minutes).
But this time when you open Google Play it's saying "check your connection and try again", grey screen, nothing happening, I tried empty cache as well. I can swipe from the left side and I see my email there with "redeem, settings and help & feedback" but nothing loads. I updated manually to very latest GPS apk.
opened Gmail and it's still syncing, nothing happens.
any ideas? seriously upset that they keep changing things!

after some fiddling around, I have removed gmail, reinstalled (I like an old version), nada, so then I went and removed the Google Account as I thought, well why not? that did the trick, Gmail started working again and after a bit of clicks I got the Google Play working again. Now calendar sync is screwing up a bit lol.....never working at once!
Earlier I did try to delete the hosts file in ETC as someone suggested but that didn't help.

contacts sync

Hi guys, just received my mate 7 32Gbps from.China with gmail and play store installed but it seems they forgot to add the contact sync option and it doesn't appear in the Google account option (I have only app, people contacts and email sync options).
Does anyone know how to retrieve my contacts and add this option on a chinese import mate 7 ???

Im in the same space as you are maly348. Usually for Huawei i root the phone and rename that XML file in the china directory and that takes care of the contacts sync issue but none of my one click root programs work with the mate 7 yet.
I am willing to paypal $50 to anyone that can help me get this done!

You just need to install GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.APK, that will enable you to sync your google contact. it is available in XDA forum please search for it. No need to root the phone for this function. It works on my Huawei P7 and Mate 7.

I have downloaded the GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk from cyanogenmod.org, they have a section for Google Apps. I have installed it using the built-in File Manager as a non-market app, no need to root device, which is great. However I have two google accounts that I am using for sync (one for private and one for business) and I can only enable sync for one of them. The other one, when I enable auto sync, it appears as if it is enabled but then the auto sync is switched off. Any ideas of what may be wrong? I installed the latest google apps package GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk from the cyanogenmod website, it is version 20140606 CM11.

Yes they are. I managed to now get both accounts to sync. After several attempts, the syncing switch finally stayed "on" for both.

you can find on google : GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.APK, download it, connect your phone by cable on your computer, or by wifi (wifi transfer for ex.) put apk file where you want on your phone and double tap for install, and it's done !

Google Contacts stuck on synching

Hey guys.
I got decent knowledge about Android.
I got some knowledge about rooting,flashing, and troubleshooting. But I have a problem.
And ofcourse I did Google it before creating a thread here
So I was using my phone but what I noticed is out of nowere my contacts were gone.
My contacts are stored in Google.
I did go to settings > Accounts > (the acc) > and it is bussy with syncing contacts. (Feels like it is stuck on synching)
Drive, gmail, etc all off them did synch except for Google Contacts.
When I open the Google Contacts in my webrowser all off the contacts are there.
But inside Google Contacts App, it doesn't synch.
Things I tryed :
1. Removed all off my google accounts from my phone settings. cleared cache in TWRP. rebooted added back again.
2. Auto-Synch is on.
3. Tryed few times "synch now" (manual synch)
4. Rebooted few times.
5 Cleared app data from Google Contacts and Play services.
Any sugestions?

On your PC/MAC go to Gmail/Contacts and refresh your browser. Sign out.
On your 1+6 sign out and sign back in, that should do the trick.

So I did Signout on my pc. and phone to.
Signed back in my phone, but still the same issue.

Yes but doesnt change anything. Since it need to sync first in the settings > Accounts > Google account

Thank you for your time.
But this didn't work to. Forget to mention that I did this to. I also deleted my Google+ profile. I did read somewhere that it might help, but no.
So annoying this problem.

So all other google services seem to be working fine, app store is good.

I go into User&Accounts>Google>Sync sync now and it syncs Fi/Fit data/People but not Contacts. returns 'sync is currently experiencing problmes, it will be back shortly"
It did work as it says it synced 2 days ago. when I first got everything side loaded and working.

Had the same issue. So I started from scratch with the installation of the Google Services until sync was working in-between the steps of installation.

Please tell me which version of installation did u use?
There are several... and which EMUI version did u use for installing the Google Services?

Folowed these directions, worked good, actually on Pro Plus and on 10.1.0.145

Actually I saw that on different p40 the symptoms are different.
I have p40 pro and after initial sync when I put the Google account stopped syncying and even yahoo syns does not work
I'd you are above 136 on p40 pro lz application does not work.
I used a different method to put Google services and still does not work.

everything syncs and works but google contacts... that is the strange part.
will probably wait till something breaks it good and then hope there is a better "method"
I can live with manually import/export contacts.
I was just hoping it was something simple but doesnt sound like it

Well actually I solved this...
Use app Fix Play Services 2020 and it will install new Play magazine and clear some cache and... It works. Now I can sync both Google and Yahoo accounts.
Remains the problems I have with Google Pay and Edenred Pay... Also I cannot sing in into UniCredit Account. Aplication is working but you cannot add your personal data.

Did it fix the google contact sync for u too? I'm also curious where you download the apk as it's not found in Aurora store. And the one I found from apkpure only do basic things like clear play services cache and stuff like that , that I already tried and not working.

It will drive you to Google play store and install an official one
The problem now is push notifications, does not work.

I don't know how but it seems that this also solved the notifications issue for Gmail. I observed this morning that I receive Gmail notifications as soon as I receive an email in my Gmail account.

Did you install it after the GMS installing? I ask because on my device is done everything since weeks. Can I just install this app without breaking the other Google stuff?

Yes i installed it after GMS... just uninstall the old version and install the new one .. GMS will work just fine

confirm, that works. before, contact syncing made was broken (from sync settings). now, contacts are syncing. thanks for sharing!
