Battery stops charging before it reaches 100%. Every charge so far this has happened, which is more than annoying! Tried different chargers and cables too, no difference.
Anyone else having this problem?
First I've heard of this. You sure you don't have something draining so much that the charge can't keep up?

Nope. Battery life is excellent when charged. It just stops randomly, if I unplug the cable and plug back in it starts again. I've cleared the dalvik, see if that helps tonight when I put on charge.

My battery status doesn't go higher than 98%, even when it's docked or connected to AC and as fully charged as it can go. Is there a way for me to reset the current, fully charged battery state to 100%, so that's used as the baseline and there's no unnecessary charging?
Hope this makes any sense.
Thanks!
Ron
Just search for it. There are multiple threads on it. When it's completely dead you need to plug it in and reset your battery stats w/ CWM.

I did search, but couldn't find anything. I guess I used the wrong keywords...
Anyway, I did reset the battery stats using CWM, but that didn't make a difference. The battery status is still reported as 98%, even when in a dock and connected to AC. Are youe saying I should completely drain the battery before doing resetting the battery stats?
Thanks
Ron
It sounds like that's what he meant. I'm going to try it, because my battery indicator only goes to 97%.
(Don't worry; 'search' never seems to work very well for me either.)
Got the thread on it:

I'm going to try this as well. I'm having the same issue.
Cheers!
I've had this issue coincide with my installing TnT 5.0
In my case 96 % ceiling
Now a week later it's only charging to 94%

Tried this. Doesn't seem to make a difference. It still maxes out at 98%. I don't know if this is an issue, but I just don't want the battery to charge constantly, even when connected to AC or docked.
Does anyone know if this affects the battery lifespan?

Mine is maxing out at 95% even after draining and resetting it. Do we have any other fixes at all?
Recently when I have my phone plugged into the computer charging it will say its fully charge in a matter of minutes no matter how dead the battery is. After I unplug the phone it shows its true battery level, I have noticed that it still charges the battery if I just leave it plugged in, I just find it really odd that the system is reporting a fully charged battery. Anyone else experiencing this type of problem or maybe know of a fix?

Did you flash a ROM recently with your battery not fully charged? If you have then your battery stats are out of wack. When it says it is fully charged, just unplug it and re-plug it in. Continue to do this. Also make sure to run your battery down till it shuts off. This process will take you some time, but until we can wipe battery stats with CWM this is the only fix I know about.

you could flash your phone back to stock and see if it changes? or if you have a vibrant or an extra battery try using it and see if it says the same percentage or level
So I plugged my GN in last night and stayed up late enough to see it reach 100%, but I left it charging all night. When I woke up this morning, the lock screen said Charged but my battery widget said 97%. This has happened a few times and every time I can fix it by just unplugging it and plugging it back in. Anyone know why it does this? Could it be because I get lots of emails at night and the LED running all night decreases the battery a little? Thanks!
I think it stops charging when it reaches 100%, therefore the 3% may be lost during that time. This is a good thing, because a laptop, or anything else, eventually the battery will go bad. When you unplug it, then plug it back in, it can cause that battery to go bad faster. Again, I think this is it. My phone seems to do that. I would not worry about it though.
I just got a battery from etradesupply and now im having some issues with charging and fast drain. The battery will charge like normal up to 100% but if i power the phone off it will start charging for another 15 mins before full. After it's full and i power up it will show 85-90%. Ive done this cycle about 5 times. The battery also drains the first 10% in about 10mins after i unplug it then it will slow down. Just strange that even with these problems the battery life is about the same if not a bit better than the old battery. Im rooted running 5.0.1. I might try a fresh factory install when i have time. Anyone have suggestions before i try that?
bump...any ideas?

I'd say try to wipe everything on your device and flash the stock factory image first and see how it goes to rule out a software issue. If it still does not help then should be the battery.

When the battery first reaches 100% it's actually not done charging yet, it takes about 30mins afterwards before the juice stops flowing. If you unplug during that time it is normal for the battery to drop to show you the true charge level. Could that be what's happening here?
Try keeping it plugged in over night and then the next day it shouldn't drop by more then 1 or 2% (trickle charge kicks in around there).
Hi everyone,
My wife's Flex 2 is doing a weird thing. When it's plugged in and gets to or near 100% charge it starts beeping. The beeps are the notification beeps that you get when you plug in the phone to charge. It's really annoying in the middle of the night. Putting it on vibrate or silent just causes it to vibrate the night stand. Again, pretty annoying. I checked the battery stats when it was happening and it's cycling between charging, not charging, discharging. It sounds like it's going, I'm done, oh wait I can still get a little more charge, nope I'm done, oh wait.... Is there a good way to reset the battery stats without rooting and going to a custom boot loader? Not sure if that would do it or not, but that is where my first thought was.
Thanks,
A
Its normal, its just a notification to unplug your device from charging to save energy. I charge phone usually in the middle of the day,but if i dont,i just set it to Do not disturb mode and its not happening. Same goes when you plug it and when is phone on low battery. However, you cant really turn that off (at least I didnt found a way),so what you can do is set Do not disturb mode or in Sound settings set lower loudness to Notifications
either its your charger or the cord or the wall plug...trry changing them around and see if it helps....and also try letting the battery die out to zero and doing a full charge from zero to 100....that always help

Thanks. I'll have her drain it to 0 and then full charge it. We have plenty of cables and chargers in the house, I'll try another one as well.
