Battery consumption

Hello everyone,
I'm running some tests to see the battery consumption on my Galaxy S i9000. I'm using the gingerbread version of darkys ROM.
Firstly, what do you think of the battery life? In this specific test I used the phone in a very light way, made some messages/calls and read few mails.
Secondly, is it normal to have depressions in the battery chart that display less battery than it shows later? How is it computed? Isn't just some logic level of the voltage battery?
Lastly, in the case of buying another battery, is it worthless to be genuine?
Thanks a lot
Someone close this thread, I double posted it:

OEM batteries will give you best performance than Non-OEM, higher value batteries. Your Stock 1350 mAH battery will definitely give better performance than 1500 mAH non OEM battery. The battery drain problem is in the root of Android 2.2 Froyo, Install Gingerbread if you want more backup
Using ur cell wisely also helps
Reduce your screen brightness and avoid vibration whenever possible
Also Live Wallpapers suck up lots of juice
Using the FIT moderately gives a decent 2 days battery backup (on a stock battery)

And where do u source a 1500 mah battery for the FIT from ???
Upgrading your firmware or installing a custom rom may help with the battery problems. Also kill the apps running in background ,if not in use .

Probably Ebay
Xperia x10(Feralabs Rom) After trying all roms it was my Fav.
Now on the RAZR.
I see you Drinking that ¥Hateraid¥
i bought one on ebay its pretty cheap, 4 $ witch isnt a lot so i will try it when i get it, will tell you if its good or not..
How about calibrate the battery? Does it really works???
calibrating only show correct stats, it has nothing with battery life
Use android software for calibration. Calibration helps to see the real level of the batery. It is a good thing to wipe batery stats when you reflash ----from cwm.

it happens with high end phones like S2 also!
every smartphone has same problem, there is nothing you can do about it until hydrogen batteries becomes safer for house hold gadgets like cell phones
buy Motorola RAZR MAXX if you really need a decent battery life!
yea battery drain is natural
I think these batterys are limited to charge and it damages
Only way is to buy a new battery
but you can use battery saver apps in idle times

7hr Battery DRAIN! [Battery issue]

Hi guys, like the title says I've got a battery issue!
About a month ago I bought this amazing nexus 5 device for a great deal €275 for the phone that is in great condition + a Chinese brand charger. The problem Is the battery I made a screenshot of the battery time only thing I used was Spotify and the brightness was on auto. This is deffenitly a problem! What should I do?? Should I buy a new charger and battery and flash a custom kernel like Franco's to save some battery? Thank you for reading guys
It's important for the battery that the voltage is correct, maybe a chinese charger it's not the better choise you can do..also kernel and rom (es. Purity and Franco or ElementalX ) can do a lot, also with good settings in undervolt and underclock!

Just use any universal 1.5 Amp / 5v charger and charging shouldn`t be a problem. Or the charger that comes with the phone off course.

Do u think a new battery would be needed ? After I buy a new battery should I charge it 100 then flash a kernel? What should I do first?
Hi,
How much screen on time have you?
You should also take a look if you have not a rogue app with a ton of wackelocks. Check also your wi-fi settings.
Can you post a screenshot of the battery history detail, I mean the graph?

FIX for BATTERY draining fast or inappropriate battery percentage

I was having problem with my s duos 2 battery it was draining too fast after 40% so I bought new battery but that was not OEM so it not lasted then I switched back to my old battery n it already started suck
BUT I FOUND A FIX
I DOWNLOADED THE APP CALLED
REPAIR BATTERY LIFE PRO
Really I was not sure its fake or real but 4.7 star so I give it a try
BOOOM BOOM SHAKALAKA
Now my battery is lworking like a new one and it has been inproved give more battery sit n give accurate battery %
All thanks to the Dev of that app please give it a try n rate that app
How is the results? Did you use everyday?

I replaced the battery 3 times, still I only can use 2500-2600 mAh Capacity - help

Hello,
I replaced my old battery because it lost its 30% capacity. Then I bought 2 times original Samsung Battery and 1 time a super expensive battery from Germany.
Everytime when I test it, I use only 2500-2600 mAh capacity of my Galaxy S7.
I did calibrate my battery, cleaned the gauge multiple times, reset it. It didn't help.
I just notice that my phone charge only until 4.825 V. Do you have any idee?
Maybe a problem with the apps not the battery itself?
Those apps are not 100% accurate anyway, they cannot be as you never run your battery to 0% while the app is running
I used 3 methodes to measure it. I dont think so. How is your phones fg_full_voltage value?

What is more likely? That the apps methods are not accurate, or 3 new batteries all have 2500-2600 mAh capacity?
The apps method are known to be inaccurate so you can already forget about those results
Where is the location of that file?
There is a code you can enter to reset battery stats too
dial: *#0228#
Press Quick Start
Connect Charger so phone is charging
Turn Off the phone and leave off until battery is charged to 100%
Power on phone
Battery stats should be recalibrated
I did that already, hmm the location is /sys/class/power_supply/battery/fg_full_voltage and in the same folder 2*fg_fullcapnom shows the capacity of your battery.
You can be right with the inaccurate apps, but the apps showed me the real value with a lenovo zuk z2 and galaxz s8.That's why I'm worried

eBay only sell fakes fakes and more fakes, Amazon probably too, unless you bought an original Samsung battery from Samsung there is a high chance that all those batteries are not as high capacity as advertised
My battery life is terrible with my S7 flat, so I took my phone to the Samsung Official workshop, I thought that a brand new battery will fix the problem, the technician made some tests and he tell me that although my battery was fine with 80% wearing but my battery drain issue is caused by a faulty board.

I'm pretty sure you bought the fakes ones. Try to buy your 4th battery from a Samsung service center!
My Third is not a fake one, it has 24m Warranty and is Made in German. The problem is with phone and OS. Nougat won't let you use your all battery capacity. If you dont believe me, use accubattery you will get max. 90%.
