USB C Cable Recommendations - Moto Z2 Play Accessories

Just picked up a Moto Z2 play and was wanting to get some extra cables (USB C - USB A) to work with various charges and outlets I have around. Honestly, this is my first "USB C" device, and I've read a bit about cables with a resistor or without, and don't quite understand. Any help or direction would be appreciated - TIA!!

The Moto devices with USB-C are much more forgiving, in regards to cables than my NEXUS 6P was.
The 6P needed USB-C to USB-C cable to achieve "rapid charging".
The Moto Z2 Play and X4 Come with a USB-A to - C Cable. The Moto achieved Turbo Charging with many charger - cable combinations.

[Q] Cable Confusion - which usb cables are right for me

Hey all, so I just got my nexus 6p today, and i need to get some backup usb chargers/cables etc.
I know not all cables are created equally, read Benson Leung's postings and reviews, and the faq in this forum, but im still quite confused telling the difference between 3a vs 2.4a usb3.1 vs usb2, type c/type a, etc etc.
I just want to know what chargers/ cables I should purchase. Suggestions?
1. A spare usb type c to usb type c cable (for my stock charger)
2. a couple usb type A cables for plugging into my laptop, older chargers that i have.
3. a usb type c to type a adapter, just in case.
4. a usb type c or type a charger.
I want all these things to be as fast/ as safe as possible, whatever that means (thats my confusion from before). The cables should support 3a charging (when the adapter/computer port allows), and usb3 speed transfers. same with the type-c to type-a adapter - it shouldnt degrade the cable. And the charger should allow quick charge.
What do I buy?
Tia!

Description
Get a quick burst of power when you need it. For example, the TurboPower™ 30 charger delivers up to 15 hours of power in just 15 minutes* to the Moto Z Force Droid smartphone†. TurboPower 30 is compatible with most devices using the new USB Type-C technology†.
No wrong way to plug it in
Because of its reversible plug, there's no wrong way to attach a USB Type-C connector. Unlike its predecessors, it connects whichever way you try to plug it in… there's no right side up or upside down.
What is USB Type-C?
USB Type-C is positioned to become a universal standard, replacing and doing all the work of USB connections that came before it. USB Type-C is backward compatible (adapters sold separately and available at Verizon).
How do I know which USB charger or cable to purchase?
Trying to visually determine the correct USB connector may result in error. To ensure the correct USB connector is selected, please consult your device's online or hard copy user manual. If you need a cable to join a USB Type-C device and a non-USB-Type-C peripheral, also determine the port type of the peripheral device. Verizon sells backward compatible USB Type-C cables and chargers separately.
What's in the box
TurboPower 30 USB Type-C Wall Charger, warranty card.

Is this compatible with our Pixel XLs?...I realize it's type C but I've read some chargers can damage the battery & I'd like to avoid that

It is on the Benson Leung & Nathan K spread sheet. It is not the BEST, or highest recommended, but it does meet specifications and requirements. It has it's own cable and it is usb c power delivery compliant. Normally $40, on sale.

This charger is still on sale at Verizon, works fantastically with my Pixel XL

Any suggestions on 10ft USB C charger?

I would like to buy a 10 ft wall charger for my pixel XL. Wasn't sure if it needed to be USB C to USB C or what so I can get the fast charging capabilities still. Anyone have any suggestions for longer chargers? The stock one that came with the phone just isn't long enough.

Does it come with the wall adapter? Because the only one I have has only usb c connection on it. The one that came with my phone.
I hear ya on the charger that came with the phone, they could have definitely made the cord longer.
I plugged it in for the first time and was like WTF . Barely reaches to a table.
Why not just use a cheap two prong extension cord and plug your charger into that?

It does not come with a wall adapter. You'd have to buy a USB -a adapter to USB -c or just buy another wall adapter.
I bought this
AUKEY USB-C to USB 3.0 Adapter for MacBook Pro, Nexus 6P 5X, LG G5 and More (2 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AUKU1OO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_GyR1ybSDM3SK3
so that I could the factory wall adapter.

Question about "charging rapidly"

Hello guys.
The usb C to C cable that came with my phone is getting a bit battered with use. If I get a new one, will I still be able to get a rapid charge?
In other words, will any usb c to usb c cable fast charge my phone as long as the brick part of the charger is used?

Choetech charger on amazon is what I bought and its worked fine. They have them on amazon.
Thank you for your reply.
Sorry if I wasn't clear enough on my original post. Since the charger part works fine, I was wondering if I could just buy a usb c cable instead. If so, will any usb c to c cable, along with the original charger (the part that plugs to the outlet), be able to "rapidly charge" my 6p, or do I need to find a cable with x or y characteristics?
Please google Benson Leung and his work on testing and approving USB C cables for Google phones. Then you'll know more about the cables and what to buy.
But to answer your question, yes any USB C-C cable can work for rapid charging with the stock charger provided they meet the proper USB C specs.

Aftermarket USB cable and rapid charging

Got a new G6 and now I have to replace my micro USB aftermarket cables with USB C cables that fit the G6. Do I need a special type of cable for rapid charging to work? or to connect the G6 to a computer?
I have an Anker 4-port charger and a rapid car charger.
Should I be looking at any special USB C cable, or will anything like these work?

or can I get a pack of Type-C to Micro-USB adapters and use it with the cables I have. Will it support rapid charging?
Thanks
I've been able to use turbocharging on my G6+ using my older micro USB cables with micro USB to USB C adapters.

So the longer the cable, the less likely it'll read properly to turbo charge. When I had my Moto G6 play, the supplied charger would only turbo charge with certain cords. The longer braided ones wouldn't work properly unless I put it in an old Moto Z/Droid turbo charger. It was odd.
Then I ordered braided 3 ft cables for Moto Z, it wouldn't turbo charge with the car charger anymore. Seems to be very finicky. If the cable is advertised as turbo, and it doesn't work, return it and try another.
Good luck!
Using an Aukey two-port charger rated for QuickCharge3, and the moto reads it just fine as TurboCharge. Make SURE that your USB cable is actually rated as at least USB3.1. (alternately called USB 3.1 Gen 2) There are a lot of el cheapo cables out there which are either USB3.0 or even USB 2.0 with a type C connector slapped on them. Also remember that USB 3.1 cables are length sensetive, and should not be over 2 meteres (about 6 ft) long unless you are using what is called an 'active cable.' These have microchips in their connectors and are generally more expensive.
from Wikipedia ""A device with a Type-C connector does not necessarily implement USB 3.1, USB Power Delivery, or any Alternate Mode: the Type-C connector is common to several technologies while mandating only a few of them.[5][6]""
