Hi,
I'm new here, and I want to make a custom firmware for my LG BL40. When I extract the .kdz file, there's a dz file. When I extract this file, there are many mbn files (like apps.mbn) and 3 .bin_1/2/3 files. It's the same with the LG GM750.
But how can I extract these .mbn files and the .bin_x files?
Thank you
Felix
is there nobody having an idea?
The little I've found is that mbn is an executable format.
Would seem to need to be decompiled.
I'm not sure on this and still looking around.

you need to use cygwin to extract files from your mbn files.

Hi,
I need help from kind heart people in this forum if they can help to re-packaged the XXKG5 files from xda-developer into ODIN flashable files like example
CODE_I9100XXKG5_xxxxxx.tar.m d5
MODEM_I9100XXKG5_xxxxxx.tar.md5
GT-I9100-CSC-xxxxxx.tar.md5
I have downloaded the XXKG5 files from xda-developer BUT the package contains files like boot, cache, factoryfs, hidden, modem, param.lfs, sbl and zImage of which I cannot flash with ODIN.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to have XXKG5 on my SGS2.
Thanks.
i guess you extract the .tar file don't you? just double click 7e file that you originally download and use the extracted file as it is. do not need to extract once again.

I didn't. Yes I extracted the first compressed file dowloaded. Then all I get are the files like in Image 1. Since Odin cannot flash the compressed file in Image 1....IF I extracted the compressed file in Image 1 then all I get are the files like in Image 2...
As you can see, either way I can't flash with Odin.
If you downloaded from xda it shouldntt look like that. You only need to double click on the file and it extracts.if you didn't download from here then here it is

Read the first notice part about extracting the file to make sure you understand clearly.

Check the contents of the zip file, if it contains a .ftf file inside it you have to extract and use flashtool to flash it.
If it contains an updater-script then its probably a recovery flashable file, which means it won't work using flash tool.
If you rename and try, you most probably will get an error from the flashtool.
But i doubt its possible to brick your phone that way though
it contains .sin files and meta-inf folder

Most likely you should be able to. But can you quote the source and name of the file maybe?
I want to modify the Saihon X6 ROM, but the system.img is different from I've ever met, they put the system.img into 8 img, now do not know how to load, don't know how to modify it, I need help, need a detailed tutorial. Thank you

if u wanna extract system.img then use dsixda kitchen.
put the img file in update original update folder then go to cygwin and choose make a working folder from rom.
it will identify your img file and then give an opt to extract it.

I really appreciate this method , unfortunately I can't root my phone, so I have to download firmware and then extract boot.img from it right?
The firmware I downloaded
https://www.mediafire.com/file/edza...SW_V8.1.3_HW_V1.0.0_021116_Volte_SPD.zip/file
I tried doing this but didn't any images instead I get 3 files which I don't know too much about, is the problem is that I have to extract it using pc ? because I extracted the firmware on my phone with this app
RAR - Apps on Google Play
Create RAR and ZIP, unpack RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO, ARJ archives.
play.google.com
Is this app was the problem with extracting ? Or the firmware was faulty ?
JOOC downloaded the ZIP you linked to, too, and unpacked it.
Noticed that the firmware is is stored in directory Firmware, it's housed in archive zsl859p_mmx.pac.
You've to convert the .PAC file to a .ZIP file, e.g. with ezyZip tool, to access its content.
I really thank you for your effort, I will let you know the results after doing this.

I tried to convert the .pac file to .zip from this tool but it takes too much time , I mean that convert to zip button never loads for hours so I thought to view that .pac file first to just to get to know what's inside it and when I viewed it, I didn't find any usefull files which contain boot.img.
The app I used to view what's inside the .pac file https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver
