Hi recently I jumped from my note 5 to a mate L29 international version with 4gb Ram.
Haven't received any updates since purchase on 5 Jan. . I have heard in the news that the honor is getting regular updates.
But what about the mate 8

Security Patch Level. December 2015
Usualy the AL10 (Asian Unlocked Version) is getting the updates first... right now they are deploying B156.
I am sure the L29 will soon be in line, as it was recently launched;

Today i chat with Some Moto Executives to know about android 7.1.1 status for moto g4 plus.. i hoping that they say that we don't know but this time their answer is different . All of them now saying that Android 7.1.1 is starting rolling out in G4 plus In India..and Its a soak test build which is rolled out for all users ... And they claiming that few of their customers already get update

this T Gowthami is the only rep they have online? So so so famous, sometimes I feel like banging my head on the wall. Anyways the update will come when it has to come, nothing from our side will change the schedule.

Guyz Good News For Who waiting for 7.1.1 update ..... It's coming 10th May or may be early 5th May. Actually Motorola Costumer care Told me about this ...this time now soak test running 7.1.1 and it will be end 30 April nd then everyone recieved full version update 7.1.1 IMEI Batch

Confirmed
Motorola representative called me today for clearing the information about Android 7.1.1 update for Moto G4 Plus.
They have already started soak test of this update and the period of testing is near to end this month.
So, as per him, the update will start to rollout in 1st or 2nd week of May.

Athene won't get Android 7.1.1 neither 7.1.2. Lenovo ****ed up in marketing and we were not supposed to receive Android O, but Lenovo accepted their error now we've Android O confirmed only for G4 plus variant

If you trust all the news released by manufacturer you should know that there's a straight plan to release Oreo not 7.1.1
This thread is a little bit outdated, probably Oreo will be released if Motorola wants it.

Maybe they even wait until 8.1 release, Lenovo never said which Oreo the G4 Plus will get.
Actually guys g4+ will directly habe 8.0 update rolled out. Soak tests for N are already over. Moto executives have minimal to no info actually. We should expect the O update by the end of april next year, since g5s and g5 are in the line getting O first.

B187 was released 2 weeks ago, B188 6 days ago. B181 was the last released before B187.
Most likely your IMEI isn't approved yet, it usually takes a month before it's approved.
Take C432B190 as example, it was uploaded on 6th of July. People started getting OTA 12th of August.
mine was L29 from the very beginning. I'm on B181 without any updates available although FF sees two new firmwares. Let's wait, patience is virtue.
And I guess your bootloader is unlocked, so you can use HWOTA method for update.

Urs is the only model with the July security patch if I'm not wrong so they're probably laid back with updating ur device. They first released the patch for the US variant since we were stuck on the April security patch. Then for the European models on the May or June patch. Ur update should come mostly in the coming weeks since it bumps the EMUI version and adds camera features.

Ok guys, I bought my Honor 8 in Italy and I am still on B394 update with August 2017 security patch.
Huawei Firmware finder shows last update B403 March 2018.
What do you do? Do you wait for official one or do you download it yourself via FF?

I advice you to wait for IMEI Batch, when your turns arrive you'll be notified about it. I faced the same problem but after some times i got the OTA and now i'm on B401 waiting for B402 February update. If you're rooted maybe you can try some other methods described here on xda
Only go for updates approved with IMEI in firmware finder. I got my device to B401 from B394 with the DNS thing.

Yes, I got two updates in past.
Just pull the trigger. Believe me, B403 is a solid update.

Update availability is not only related to country but also to IMEI batches.
I'm in France, yesterday someone told here he got b402 in France, I did not get it yet, I will probably get it within next hours/days when my IMEI turn has come.
In FF, we kinda see the future : b403 will be installable in about one month, as 402 became installable in the beginning of March, b401 in the beginning of February...
