Go for the section "hints", it was the only one visible in my case. When selected, hit the big picture (I can't recreate it, otherwise I would have added a screenshot)

It is only for unlocked Phones, if the phone is branded means no beta.

Rubbish. My S8 is locked on Vodafone UK and I still installed Oreo Beta just fine. All is needed is to flash unbranded firmware via Odin. Carrier lock has nothing to do with Beta program eligibility.

Edit: Well, I flashed an unbranded firmware but when I check the firmware info from my Phone it says "BOG" which is the code of my operator, did I missed something ?
DBT/DBT/DBT works
First code you can change with the factory rom and *#243203855#.
Second is the active csc of the flashed Firmware.
Third depends of your simcard.

It absolutely is possible, and absolutely does not need root. For those saying its not possible without root, can you please explain to me why this video shows me doing it??? @roydok Its possible and easy!
This is a factory wipe on a fresh firmware unrooted with status showing as Official and root checker showing no root.

PS please excuse my dickish attitude in the video. Drinking with the Irish brings the nasty out in me
The procedure does not work on my dual SIM G920FD Duos S6 no matter how many times I try entering any of the 2 IMEIs of my S6. I guess root is the only way for me to change CSC.

It seams there is the caveat. We sorry saps in Canada haven't been given the 5.1.1 update. We're the bastard redheaded step child of the S6 community. They must have locked it down in 5.1.1. When we finally get it here I'll let you know what I find out.
Anybody bought a 930F from eBay for use in the US? Do you change the firmware with Sammobile images? If so, what image do you use?
To clarify, I know the 930F will work on T-Mobile in the US, will run with the T-Mobile LTE bands. My concern is the language differences in the firmwares (if it exists)-- what do folks do to make the phones more US English friendly?

I have the stock Hong Kong firmware on my 930FD and that's all I had to do!
When you boot up your phone for the first time select English. Only issue with the unlocked version is no Samsung Pay.
the only reason I went to United Kingdom from Panama firmware was because U.K had the March security update and Panama has not gotten it yet.

Question.
I am new to Huawei, I have the mate 9 EU dualsim version.
Read some interesting things on funky tool etc etc.
Is this the only way to update this phone?
Hisuite ROM flash is grey... Copy update.app OTA or full 138 to SD card or dload folder etc etc ..
Basically I want to update from 126 to 138 fw.
Can someone give me a tip how?

Huawei has been pushing updates really slow for some regions. I was still on 110. FunkyHuawei is very easy to use. I updated my phone in less than 15 minutes using it.

Funky will download the entire factory image for the version/region you choose. eRecovery will flash the image which updates the software just like an OTA, it's just a larger download. It does not factory reset or lose any settings.

FYI, if you are looking to update to B138, you can't use eRecovery (as of December 29, anyway, it's still not an official update, might change in the future), you must use HiSuite, but this will also not wipe your device. Still, I suggest you make a backup in case there is some issue. You never know what could happen.
Netherlands OTA B138 just came in a minute ago, all good. The 6x zoom is still there so we'll have to wait some more for 10x.

@duraaraa if that is the case, how would we get the ota, meaning us who changed the region to c432 from c185 or else.. Any ideas or suggestions here..
On the other hand, does that mean changing the dns to urs will get me the ota update normally via the updater and will change the build number to 138 since Huawei servers started authenticating this update? Please your input appreciated..

@duraaraa replied to this post indirectly but at his funkky thread, so mainly NO for us who converted, and we have to use funkky, he is working on it.. I wonder then, why did we rebrand then!!!
All of the non-Chinese versions are only pushing OTAs to approved sim cards. Rebranding actually has nothing to do with it. From what I can tell, it's the SIM card. So if you have a Malaysia sim card you can get update C636B136, but you cannot get it with Singapore SIM card. Some European sim cards let you get B138 right now, and some don't.
The IMEI is not based on the IMEI of the phone, apparently, but it has to do with the sim card inserted into the phone. It's odd that Huawei chose to do it this way, but I'm investigating. I have found a way around it with FunkyHuawei, but it is unclear when or if Huawei will make a full roll-out for non-Chinese phones.

Has anyone else experienced this with the latest update to MHA-L09C432B186
It was working fine on 182, now straight after updating to 186, every time the phone is rebooted, the SIM is not detected, until it remove the tray and insert it again, then all is fine until it is rebooted again.
Is this a known issue or something that is easily fixed?
It's clearly not a hardware issue.
Look forward to your feedback.
No, no problem with that issue. Phone is running like a charm. Maybe you should reflash.
No issues here.

Same issue here on single sim L09 B188 (just updated to C432B188). Phone info is showing sim 2 as 0000000000000 but this phone doesn't have a SIM 2 slot. Is this the problem?
You should try factory reset
I installed both 186 versions (there are 2 for the 09) and I can also say when you restart the phone you have to open and close the tray for it to work.
It started on 186. 182 was fine. I DID a factory reset and it's still the same.
The 'newer' B186 actually shows up as B188 in settings (about)!
