Android Oreo (Go edition) for GT-S7580 - Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2

Hello, as you may know, Google released a version of Oreo called "Go". It focuses on budget devices with 1GB - 512 mb RAM. It would be great if someone was able to work on it. The Go version looks awesome. Also would love testing it. Thanks.

G Tablet model 320

Does anyone have any additional information about the model 320?
Any pictures or other leaked information on it?
Having an extra 512 mb memory chip on it might be important.
One of the reasons a "cruz" cannot be upgraded to a later version of android (it is on android 2.0) is that the newer versions of android wont fit on the "Cruz's" 128 mb ram memory chip.
Will the 1 gig chip on the new G Tablet Model 320 allow it to install the android 2.3 OS and maybe the new Honeycomb version due out next year?
Any word if it will take the place of the Model 300? Is it being held up from distribution to allow time for the older model 300 stock to be sold out?
Edit: how much room on the 512 mb chip does the android 2.2 app use? Or another way of asking is: What is the file size of the android 2.2 OS and what is the file size of the android 2.3 OS?
My understanding is that 1gb version would not run most of the software posted here on xda, so it would be pointless.
Tmk, only a small number of 320's made it to the States, and I only know one XDA user who owns one.
It's basically a v2 Malata device, like the v2 zPads. Because of this. support is questionable because all the devs and modders here have 300's. I know from my zPad contact that the v2 zPads have a completely different boot.img and their newer kernels are not compatible with our device, so it's a double-edged sword. We have no idea it they will even show up in th States in the future, let alone replace the GTab we currently own.

s 3GB RAM version fine/enough ?

Hi,
I was wondering if 3GB RAM version fine on 6PRO? I had Sony XA2 3GB version in the past and it seemed to be fine. Though I like Lot's of windows in my browser and jumping backwards and forwards between 5-7 apps. I don't play games. Use camera a lot. Thanks.
I think 3 GB is good enough to you.
Redmi 4 Prime for about 2 years with 32GB was ok
now 2 years later I got RN6pro with 32GB, no need for more,
for your preferences it is ok too, I believe
Thanks : ) Do apps refresh a lot on the phone? One thing I hate mroe than anything to have content on the ap pto be refresh everytime I come back to it.
but most of the apps are google playstore apps ?
that has nothing to do with phone roms,
I don't use many Xiaomi apps
The one I am intending to buy is UK version form local shop. So, yes it's google store. And some bloatware on top. Unfortunately I didn't mod phones.
I feel paying a bit more for 64gb and 4gb is a reasonable choice

About Sky: Children of Light coming to Android

Hello. So, recently back in July, a game named Sky Children of Light arrived on iOS devices. It's more of an adventure type game, created by the same devs who made games like Journey. And they've also announced the game on Android too and it's up for pre register. What I would want to know is the minimum system requirements needed to play this game on an android device and I hope it's not like Fortnite where it's only released on specific devices.
My device: Honor 8 Lite, 4GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, Android 8.0, EMUI 8.0

why not contact the devs directly?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tgc.sky.android No Install nor buy nor else button for now.
From Apple store: "Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone 5s, ..blah-blah-blah, iPhone 8", 197 MB.
So it would run on 1GB RAM Android phones too.
I think it's able to run it, but I wouldn't recommend. my phone has the snapdragon 630 (gpu adreno 508) can run it at around 20-30fps at lowest setting, the close one to it is the snapdragon 625 (adreno 506) which is barely the same in graphics performance, but still far better than the mali t830-mp2 on the kirin 655 in your phone. I dont think you should consider kirin cpu for gaming overall, even with their game mode (only works for a number of games)

cheap 'Welcome' phone

Hi all hope everyone had a great xmas.
Ive not been in here since the XDA Universal days... glad to see its grown and grown.
Quick question.. I have a cheap chinese 'Welcome' phone
Is it posiable to flash a standard rom to these..as its allegedly got 265gb storage and 8gb ram...
but in reality has 16gb storage and 2gb ram
and Android version is miles out too.. says its 10.0 .. but i suspect its Android 5/6
Its ok for the price.. just wish it would tell the truth.. it may run a bit smoother then.
unsure of the processor though..
Build number l700_lyx_k18_welcome_q_540x1200_128 a16_en_yl_v02
Custom built version ALPS.L1.MP6.V2_WEG.L_P73
cheers for any light you can put on this subject, and appologies if its been asked before.. I didi have a look about in the search feature....
Cheers all...
Hi. I got mugged as well. I thought I was buying a Cheap End Huawei P50 Pro but got a Welcome K40 Pro+,. It has the wallpaper like Xaomi K40Pro+. It should have 16GB RAM 512GB ROM, but sadly, only 0.92902 GB RAM and 4GB ROM. There is a whole raft of lies. It has mainboard , sp7731e_1h10 (32bit). The OS is meant to be Android 11 but it comes up as Oreo. I found the same mainboard on a post from GSM from 2018, a Presto phone that was being rooted by the disappointed owner who complained about loads of bloat and malware.
I can only use 1 app at a time, If I try 2 apps the previous on quits.

Android > 5.0.2 for Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T357)

I have an old Samsung Galaxy Tab A (specific model in the title), and sadly, T-Mobile/Samsung updated Android up to 5.0.2. It is also a very slow tablet, given its hw.
Does anyone know about any Android/Linux Distro that could run in this tablet? LineageOS?
Device has a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and only 1.5 GB RAM. Changing device's Android OS doesn't make it faster run.

I partially agree.
As you know, many manufacturers' Android distros come bloated, so a Vanilla one, with no vendor's "extra services" may help.
There is also the factor that most applications are no longer supported in it due to the Android version. For example, I'm a fan of termux, and I use it extensively in my phone, but the only way to install the latest versions is via F-Droid, and either F-Droid, or its version of termux (I don´t remember which one at this time), don´t work with Android 5.0.2.
I'm just trying to breath a little more life to this old tablet, so I can donate it to anyone that needs it. If I can't I will just throw it away.
