I have been hearing a lot of rumours saying that the S7 will be 10 percent cheaper and other saying it will cost more. What do you think the actually cost will be. I live in Canada and with the weak dollar some websites are saying it will be $1100! I know our dollar is only .72 of the USA but will Samsung raise the price to be exactly equal to the US dollar? (Right now the s6 edge is 850 which is not that much more expensive than the USA variant) I don't think it will sell well if it 600 dollars on contract and more than the iphone.
Other points/questions
-Which processor will the Canadian version get? Their was a leak about the Bell version on geekbench getting the exynos 8890 but is the exynos confirmed for Canada, as that is the one I would prefer.
-Why would they make the edge 5.5 inches? Are they getting rid of the edge plus? 5.5 and 5.7 inches are way to close to justify making another phone.
-How much more will the s7 edge be now that it has a bigger screen?
Any answers would be nice and I just like discussing new phones. So what do you guys think about the S7?
749.99 videotron for 32g
How do you know?
Wind Mobile has slashed $100 off the usual price of the galaxy s7. it available for $799 outright from the original launch price of $899.
I'm quite disappointed with Samsung (dot)com
They currently advertise on their website selling the AT&T s7 edge for $495 usd plus a bonus 128gb card.
This is reminiscent of the recent sales for the same phone + micro sd card from T-mobile for $429 then Sprint for $450.
I missed both of those sales as I wasn't in the market for a phone. But my failing s5 took me shopping and I thought I was lucky to find a similar deal for an ATT s7 edge.
I made the purchase but later checked the website which now states that the bonus sd card is supposed to be added to the cart, and it wasn't. After 3x contacts to customer service, they still won't honor the advertised special that I bought. I think it COULD be a mistake as they have the $200 discount+ 128gb card associated only with the BLUE CORAL ATT phone, and no other colors but it's crappy that they won't honor it. AND it is STILL ON THEIR WEBSITE 4 days after my purchase. Samsung also offers a free 128sd card without the $$$ discount for other providers but phone price is $692.
The offer I wanted is still the most expensive deal compared to T-mobile and Sprint which are no longer available. BTW Best buy also currently has the ATT s7 edge with a $200 BB gift card so the deal is comparable there, but also without the sd card.
Here is what is shown on the website at samsungdotcom/us/shop/all-deals/
I think my link is blocked as a new member, just look under the online deals/offers section then click on mobile phones to see. My photobucket pic also excluded, can you get to s758.photobucket.com/user/eorstail/media/samsung4.jpg.html
I could just concede and get the phone at a discounted rate (without any bonus) which seems to be still a great deal, but it is just a bummer to have found that great deal like the others only to be letdown by Samsung. I cancelled my order because I was pissed. And I am not an ATT customer, so there is no loss there. I could buy the s7 (not edge) from my current prepaid plan for the same price, just that the edge's bigger screen, battery, edge functions and sd card made me jump on this one.
So, do you think the edge is worth it?
Anyone else have my problem?
Anyone have a good friend/contact at samsung.com?
There's a guy selling a used s7 for us$275. New it's $450.
It's not international model though. It's the Canadian model & I don't know if it's unlocked or not yet.
Do u think it's a good deal or are there better alternatives?
That's not a good deal, imo.
used, carrier locked good condition S7 goes for around 300 on kijiji in canada
good deal, IF you can guarantee the quality and condition
Not a good deal, I got a like-new Galaxy S7 for $230USD from eBay. I did get it for a pretty good deal, but I'm sure you could easily find one for 250~
Also, wrong section.

EDIT: I'm not going forwards with the deal. Thanks for your advice, guys!
I was buying it as a gift for my bro, but he doesn't want to change his phone (xperia z2)
I'm happy with my s6 (which I bought new on launch). I'll just save the money for an s9 or Note 9 next year if it has under screen fingerprint sensor.
Antonie knows what model is it? Friday Will have it. Anny issues with ee UK? I live in another country and Will use it with Orange. Paid full unlocked without plan. Almost 1100£ pounds... Does anyone know if it is korean or european version?
How did you buy the ee version I thought it was only sold on contract?
It's the single sim version. No Carrie blot, only my EE app which can be uninstalled.
Should come with the dual screen as my version did.
I'm also looking to buy it outright, but haven't found a way yet.

I live in Romania but I have a friend with business contract with EE. He told me that can help buy it and he keeps the plan. He told me 1100 pounds ... What do you think about this deal?

If you are buying it from EE then it will be the European model with the Dual Screen. £1100 is a lot of money. The Korean version is £613 and I'm tempted by this but it won't be covered by LG UK warranty whereas your V50 from EE is covered within Europe.
I agree it's too much money. I want to keep it but only SIM only. I asked EE if I could buy it they said I have to buy out my contract.
I'll try again as if I return the phone me they will lose money on selling as a refurbished handset.
Hello, guys! What a thriller movie with this v50!
I ditched the ee uk version and bought from ebay - switzerland seller - the korean version. After payment i noticed the seller is from Hong Kong. I will inspect the phone carefully, and if is legit I'll keep it. I was promised 1 year warranty and invoce - it was paid from my company bank account. Waiting for it 2-8 days seems like living in inferno. Paid 840 USD - 747 euro to seller, free shipping to romania. I'll pay 19% VAT customs taxes so a total of 888 euro. No dual screen but thats fine...
The european version has bootloader unlockable, do you know if the korean version has also?
I was looking also on ee uk website and the real price would be from 1700£ pounds in 2 years with best plan, but is sim locked until you pay full contract. Impossible the price. Yes, I admit you have the plan, but here in Romania with 15 euro a month I have a better plan from Orange. 65 GB in 4G+, 5 GB in roaming, speeds are 130mbps, unlimited sms, calls, unlimited youtube, Facebook, instagram etc
I'm glad,
You can find the dual screen on eBay so when your ready to purchase just look there.
Hope you like the phone. I certainly do, still debating in keeping it but it's a great phone. Really like the dual screen as that's one of the reason why I like this so much.

For me, the LG V50 5G is the best phone of 2019 with the best cameras/camera software, nice design on the back/less on the front, best audio quality (v50 standard DAC destroys by a mile other phones dacs, QUAD - DAC is light years ahead, best AMP for headphones, 50 Ohm impedance trick, DTSX, LDAC), best fit for my Tidal Master account, best fit for my sony wh1000m3 headphones, snapdragon 855 mobile platform with 5G modem (IMO sd855 destroys a12 bionic or kirin or exynos), USB C 3.1 with 5gbps speed and HDMI output with power delivery, otg support and probably better display than samsungs s10 line. Indeed I miss G7-G8 form factor, but the v50 is in another league of quality. These are just a few of my reasons... You should KEEP IT!
It might be possible to not pay taxes as the phone was shipped from Manchester - UK. Just tracked it via DHL Express ... I called them and they told me I dont need to pay taxes as it is fro the EU. Now it just remains to verify it is original LG V50! Fingers crossed! :victory:
Anyone here using US version S22 Ultra or any US version Samsung phone in Japan?
Can you please tell me about battery life and are there any signal/reception/bands issue?
I've bought a t-mobile S8+ and at&t s7 edge on ebay before (around july 2017)
the s8+ was pretty new at that time, I think the battery is still very good but it would drain the battery from 100 to 10 overnight
just standing-by. I even made a factory reset and let it sit overnight but it still drains the battery so bad.
It was the same thing for the s7 edge I bought on ebay
I still don't know what's the reason why or maybe because of incompatible bands??? the phone is trying so hard to search for signal??
I have really good good coverage in my area though, I'm getting an average RSRP reading of -80dBm - -85dBm
I'm still hesitant about buying another one since I don't want to buy Japanese versions of Samsung phone anymore,
and amazon US the only option where I can buy new phone that ships to japan.
