I got those same stripes from TWRP and now have two pink stripes on either side of my screen. . . . yes, I even turned the brightness down as low as it would go.

I'm not sure about removing or dimming the bright stripes.
My TWRP settings didn't respond and I wound up with a screen problem. . . . . from those stripes.
If that's only on your intro' screen, you're probably alright.
You could try contacting the developer and see what they say.

If those stripes are there all the time and they're bright with no way to turn them down, I'd find a new ROM before I got screen damage.

It would probably be better just to find an app' for the stock ROM that you like.

Display Issue After 4.4.4

Hi Team ,
I bought a Moto G for my wife , it was new but since there are is no official Motorola support here so there was no warranty with it. However i checked the phone in a lot of detail and there were no issues whatsoever with it.
After sometime , Kit kat Update poped up on the phone. I updated the phone via OTA (normal process) . Now after that the on the white area of the screen , i can see different Red lines. When i turn off the phone for 30-40 mins and turn it back on the display is fine. But then again they appear. Is this a sofware based issue or hardware based ? ( i am inclining towards hardware )
I installed an app called as Screen Filter and the red lines / colors have been very minimal now.
Anyone else faced this issue ? would downgrading / a custom rom would solve this up ?
Anyone ?
Do they appear in screenshots?

Nop. This is leading me to believe that this is a hardware level issue. Should i give a shot at reverting back over to 4.4.2 or its a waste of time ?

Reverting to 4.4.2 at the moment is not good, you can't actually fully revert, wait for the 4.4.4 factory images. Did you a try a factory reset?

Yes , a couple of times but to no avail. Here is the situation as of now , which is quite bad i know . I use an app know as screen filter from the playstore which reduces the brightness / colors and atleast makes the phone a bit use able , but its still v bad .
Please check these images up , they are off boot screen. It was all fine before the updates to 4.4.2

It seems to me a hardware related issue. Please contact the service center. They will either repair or change the display screen.

[Q] Two Questions

Previously Viper4Android worked flawlessly on my device. I had to bring it back to stock rom yesterday and now it doesn't work at all. Any advice? Secondly, how can I disable the Sony start up screen? The purple background.

Made my flat official 7.0 nougat beta.

Hi guys, so i was on pixel edition 2.x with the whole systemlessroot. But i was irritated that i had locked my login on snapchat so i thought i would go back to stock and so on. Downloaded the official 7.0 beta, flashed only AP , cause i already had the zpk modem and bl. After i flashed it, my phone restarts and after a minute the upgrading android screen comes up and voila. All my data is kept! How did this happen? Any ideas?

Hello,
I have the same problem, but the last time I rooted and flashed something was way back on my galaxy s1! So I'll need to read up more on rooting, before I do it.
May I ask what's causing the lines and why rooting and installing twrp help to remove the lines?
After rooting and flashing new roms, the lines will magically disappear? And what happens if I flash back stock rom, will the lines return?
Thanks!

Hey guys there is a other fix for this grey line issue!!!! Few days ago i had this problem too on my s7 edge g935f. After many internet searches, i found a fix for it... You have to download a app from play store which called "Dead pixel detect and fix". After download this app. Open it and then press below start, then will appear a window with many colors and it will run for 30 minutes....let it run. After 30 minutes it will close it self end....and reboot. Dont delete the app from phone and wait 24 hours. The grey lines will fix it self....even i didnt belive it but this helps... If any questions email me on : [email protected]

Are you by any chance using KitKat/cm11s?
If yes, flash Cos13.1.x through fastboot to solve this issue.
https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...l/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541/amp/
There's also a temporary way to fix this issue on KitKat rom with generic display but it happens at every reboot again and again and it is if you're dying without KitKat.
