Hi there, I have a 'Telstra Signature Premium' which is Telstra's rebranded HTC One A9. I have flashed Lineage OS 14.1 on it (latest nightly) and was wondering if there was a way to get VoLTE enabled on it as on the stock Telstra firmware and on the stock DEV firmware there is an option and it works. This is quite an issue because Telstra has '4G Small Cells' which provide only 4G and no 3G and I am frequently in areas without 3G coverage and when I am I can only place outgoing calls. When I receive a call when connected to 4G (even with 3G coverage) it is silence on both ends, if I switch to 3G before the call is received it connects fine. VoLTE would be a good solution but I can't find any way to enable it. Thank. :good:

Hey all,
in the latest rom for the nexus S, I've been missing the option for the phone to autoswitch from 3g to 2g, since I'm using a Umts inly operator here in Italy(tre), I need that feature to keep my phone in working conditions when there is no 3g signal. I was wondering if there's any app that can do that or a 2.3.4 rom that has that option. So far I've tried the last Cm, oxygen and superAosp but with no luck.
thanks!
Since WiFi Calling is so flaky on all ICS ROMs I'm wondering if once the One-S comes out if we can take the WiFi calling app from that and use it on our Sensation and have it function 100% since the One-S is shipping with ICS and T-Mo WiFi Calling installed. What do you guys think?
T-Mobile's version of the One s does NOT have WiFi calling support yet, and the app is NOT pre-installed.
Ahh bastards!! Thanks for clarifying this I did not know.
No problem. There may be an update for the one s shortly after launch to add in the current version of WiFi calling support, but nothing is certain. T-Mobile is working hard on gen 2 of their WiFi calling feature (not just for android but across all smart phone platforms), setting up/leasing bandwidth on public WiFi networks to expand (artificially w/ hotspots) their coverage area into areas where their gsm network is lacking, thus also expanding the capabilities of the service itself. They are also working to solve the "hand-off" issue, so that calls started on WiFi won't drop when switching to gsm and vice versa.
Hi all,
I've read up on a couple of threads here relating to using an international version of the S7 on T-Mobile (Reason being because I want a white version of the phone). People say that the phone works fine other than VoLTE and Wifi Calling. Unfortunetly, Wifi calling is huge for me because T-Mobile service is spotty in my home town and at work and the only way I can get a solid signal is through Wifi.
I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow flash some T-Mobile software onto this international device that would make it think that it is a 930T device and get Wifi calling to work.

Hello,
I have an HTC A9, 3/32 version. The problem is that the phone apparently is branded by HTC America and I am using it in Europe (the phone was bought from Europe). The 3G bands are different in US vs. Europe but here comes the tricky part: although the phone cannot connect to the 3G network, the carrier I use has only 3G and 4G coverage. All the calls are made using 3G (confirmed by the carrier) and while I am under 4G network I can use the phone without a problem. When only 3G network is available, the phone shows no connectivity at all.
When trying to manually select 3G only (WCDMA option as it appears in the settings) the phone is still showing 4G as connection.
Is this problem solvable through software change? Reset is not working.
Another curious thing, I did receive all the OTA updates. (last one about 2 weeks ago).
Phone CID is BS_US001 Developer Edition
Just switched from Iphone 7 to P30: good thing is that it shows some signal at my home, where iphone 7 usually shows no signal at all; bad thing is that WIFI calling is gone.
Anyone was able to turn on t-mobile WIFI calling with P30 ?
Thanks
Yes, I did.
How is It possible ?
Two answers. Yes it does supports Volte and WIFI calling with T-Mobile. No it does not support Volte and WIFI calling with T-Mobile USA if the questions are about that telecom. Please remember that T-Mobile is a German brand for Deutsche Telekom and exists in many countries.
