Has anyone else experienced issues with the Google feed to the left of the home screen?
Every now and then it won't allow me to swipe left to the Google feed or let me hit the search button on the bottom of the home screen... Weird! I've tried to force stop and clear cache but it's still doing it randomly

It seems that every few days my Sprint Nexus S gets hung on the home screen, and I can no longer swipe to change screens. If I hit the bottom right and left buttons, I can manually change the screen, but swiping left or right changes nothing.
Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if it's getting too bogged down with open apps. Coming from the Epic, I was constantly closing apps from the Program Monitor, which isn't on the Nexus S.
Some how I have removed my camera short cup from the home screen and I do not know how to bring it back. Any help will be appreciated!
It's not in the app drawer? Find it in the app drawer and touch and hold it until it moves it to the home screen. If you don't see it in your app drawer, go to settings/apps to see if it's still in your installed apps list.
Apps just don't disappear randomly.
I can still see the APK but I can't bring it to the home screen, if I use the search function I can find it is just I can bring it from there to the home screen. I know I didn't disappear , it was my daughter or me

Hold down on it and drag it up to the top of the screen.
I'm having trouble finding out how to add a shortcut onto the home screen.
In Chrome I want to add a shortcut for a website as a home screen button. When I click the button "add to home screen" a notification popped up for a very short time and I could read it. It won't pop up again and I don't know what it wants me to do to solve the problem.
The same thing also happened with Google. I want to add Google weather to the home screen. In Google I searched weather and then tapped the option button, and click the add to home screen button. A quick notification popped up and disappeared again. I tried to add it over and over and nothing happens, no error notification either.
What options on permissions do I have to set?
Please help.
Sorry, not an answer to your question but as it's also home screen related, am I correct in saying there's currently no way to set which panel you want as your home screen? For instance if I want to have seven home screen panels but set the middle fourth to always return to upon launch?
I know I can use the app draw but I liked for instance, the ability with EMUI to be able to organise my apps/widgets so I could say, quickly swipe left from the home panel to see all my gaming apps grouped together, or quickly swipe the other way to see others easily.
Sometimes when i swipe up and go to home screen its like the app didn't actually close, the next touch after will input on the app that was just closed, reopening app and also doing action where the screen was pressed. 192.168.0.1 router login 192.168.l.l.link/
For example, i may close twitter and then go to home screen and press on the middle of the screen to open another app. Twitter then will be back open again and will have opened the image that was in the middle of the screen where my finger had touched. I then would have to go back home and try again to open the app i want and sometimes this phantom app will happen multible times in succession
So I turned my Pixel on and the Home screen shows a brown box with the words "Tap to setup" and a Gmail icon. I don't know what I did to get that. I checked my settings but did not find a way to get rid of it. How can I do it?
In trying to resolve my problem I opened Apps, tapped Gmail, and found "Open", "Disable", and "Force stop".
When I tapped "Disable" I got a warning that Android and other functions may no longer function as intended, so I tapped "Cancel" and backed out of that option.
Next, I tapped "Force stop" and got a warning that the app may misbehave, so I tapped "Cancel".
Then I tried "Passwords & accounts", tapped my google account address, but all that had was a "Remove account" button so I backed out of that.
If I long-tap the message on my Home screen, a "Remove" button appears at the top of my screen but if I tap that, nothing happens and the message remains on the Home screen.
So I fiddled with the message box, swiping it to the right/left/up/down and finally, after 3 or 4 swipes to the right, the message disappeared. When I turn the phone off and back on again, the message does not reappear, so I think that the problem is resolved.
I think.....
Only other think I could think would be remove and re-add the account, but hopefully it is fixed.
maybe try to clear your launcher app data.
Just as a matter of curiosity, how does one clear one's launcher app data?

Hi,
Go in Settings > Apps > and look for the launcher app.
Force stop it and go in "Storage & cache"
Click: Clear storage > done.
You may click on the 3 dot menu on you upper right corner and tap on "Show system" if your launcher is installed as a system app...
Good luck,
Sébastien.
Okay, I followed your instructions.
After I tapped "Clear storage", I tapped the center arrow on the bottom of the screen to get back to my Home screen. My 4 shortcuts (that were at the top of the screen) were no longer there, and the bottom row of apps "bounced" up and down every 2 seconds for around 10 seconds and then stopped bouncing. This happened each time I went back to the Home screen.
After a few minutes of fiddling around with the cellphone, the bouncing stopped when I went back to the Home screen and so far it has not returned.
Why did the bottom row of apps bounce up and down?
