W.I.P.
So far cant really even call it a rom. It boots but has no network, no speaker, so sim card(no phone)
A true project that needs work.
work in progress file for anybody willing and able to move project forward
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617951390
Same positon in port for
AICP 12 boots with network and sims but not other hardware (speaker, camera, )
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291693626
and
DOTos boots to the boot animation but does not pass this point.

They are all from code name "woods"
Moto e4
All from here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e4/development
In the source rom boot.img
The fstab has 2 data partitions listed one ext4 and one f2fs
I commented one the f2sf
And there was also a /persist partition listed I had to comment that out as well to get them to boot.

I have started to try and use a different source for porting roms to the Tank Pro.
I needed less modification to get them to boot. But still have trouble with getting IMEI and speaker to work
changed only
1. kernel
2. /system/usr/keylayout
3. /system/vendor/firmware
4. edit line in build prop "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1"

Yes October 31, I for got same response.
This appears to possibly be a clone hardware device.
http://hammerphones.com/produkty/hammer-energy-2/
Edit:
Phone is close but not full clone.
Touchscreen is different
one of the cameras is different
main speaker is different.
I found this phones stock rom and tried its kernel on the tank, It did not boot.
not that is helps since I find its kernel to not work for us, here is link to the thread (in polish) that has the stock ROM

I have gotten past the "make mrproper" errors by back-tracing the errors, and found references to "obj" include lines in 3 make files that point to files that are not in the source. I commented (#) out the lines and got build to start. But again ran into an issue. A missing "lcm-list.o" file. And if I comment that reference out build continues and seemed like it would complete, but failed when build looked for the resulting lcm list that had not been made.
My edits are probably wrong but here is what I have done so far;
1. /drivers/input/fingerprint/Makefile
comment out line #9
"obj-$(CONFIG_MTK_SUNWAVECORP_TEE) += sunwavecorp_tee/"
2. /drivers/misc/mediatek/base/power/Makefile
comment out line #39
"obj-$(CONFIG_MT2701_DCM) += mt2701_dcm/"
3. /drivers/misc/mediatek/Makefile
comment out line #92
"obj-$(CONFIG_MTK_SM100) += tc1_interface/vib_drv/"
Those changes allow build to start, still looking at LCM driver build error
I have been trying to use the "fq5c_defconfig" based on the build_flavor in stock build.prop.
But I also found those two "almost" clone type devices "Nomu S20" and "myphone Hamer Energy" , both of which also have "fq5c" in there build_flavor. Neither of those kernels boot in the Tank.
So my question is, How to know which defconfig to use?

Hi, I have this device, but its my daily driver and I had several occurrences where Chinese devices break down, so I'd like to preserve warranty. After it expires I'll start developing for it full time. Now I need someone who could test it.

Oh I get it, I have a galaxy s6 as my daily driver too and, since I'm from Italy, I dont care about chinese phones warranty (it would cost me more the delivery and time waiting lol).
Btw sticking back to topic, I've tried to flash through twrp the latest 0119 build but it gives back error (during flashing in twrp) saying "wrong model, this is for f5 and device model is m2" o.0

Flash using my recovery. Twrp doesn't come from a trusted source (the dev didn't even supply the source code), so I cant tell anything about it. But this error is because I changed the device id from some very strange retarded one (something like this: x59_dg) to a more user readable f5. You could remove the lines that check for the device id (should be the first ones) from the updater-script inside the flashable zip.

Mac~users
Just a head up. For those using macbook. By now you should know terminal must have "./" before adb and fastboot. ? with that being said. The flash-all.sh needs the "./" either you manually open the file and add it to all the lines with fastboot. (./fastboot)
Noob question. Can I flash this if I'm using f2fs?

You will only need twrp for backup. The rom is flashed using fastboot. The guide is on their download page. Think of it this way. You are unrooting your phone going back to stock bt in this case it's secure space you going to.

Hello,
Looking promising ! :good:
I'm wondering about compatibility with:
- custom kernel (for ex: Elemental X)
- Xposed framework
Also, what's the general overhead caused by "virtual phone instance" ?
Thank you for your effort :victory:

Nano ROM
Debloated Customized and Inspired
Hello honori user
Since the Galaxy S3 i build Custom ROMs, but i'm since then not known here.. Everyone that use my builds know, the ROM is almost completely debloated. Unfortunately Im not a fan of the whole content they build in, although less than others. Before i changed to huawei i had an S3 like mentioned before, and a Z2 from sony. Im here since mid of june, and appreciated so far with a very stable and bugfree P9. At this stage i start here with my projects for all users like to flash custom roms. My support is highly 2-3 years or until EOL from Honor/Huawei.

I would assume so? But I don't know the nitty gritty details of flashing ROMs or developing ROMs

All of us started with zero knowledge about it. It's never too late to familiarize yourself with it.

The modaco ROM on the modaco website forums is for L09 and was flashed on L04 and works perfect. It's in the honor 8 thread on modaco website. So this ROM should flash with no issues. I maybe wrong but just my 2 cents.

nichcream is one of the best developer and ROM is built on his device sources.
Difr is one of the best in optimizing kernel for our device.
So basically you will get better experience based on above two points alone .. rest is your decision.
Feature wise it isn't a modded version of CrDroid so feature wise both OFFICIAL and UNOFFICIAL are identical.
@difr
Thanks for your time and effort!!!

Ah, nice thread. Another try to go against anti-piracy process on XDA. I'm not sure that what you're even thinking. If you try to remove anti-piracy code from any project and then post it on development site such as XDA then be sure that it will be taken down. That's it Also It doesn't matter if you modified it using hex patches. Your sources have to be still up.
@MrYacha could it be used to normally flash other roms than terble? like MIUI builds?
Thank You ! :good:
