Just a PSA, if you update to build NMJ51B you will not be able to sideload the Oreo beta 1 update. It will error saying your current build has a newer date and downgrade is not allowed.

Confirmed
I should add that unlocking the bootloader will not help, I had to downgrade to NMI81C first to flash the Oreo beta 1.
Can you factory flash NMJ51B when on the Oreo Beta? I keep running into issues when trying to flash.. wondering if that's why.
After running flashall.bat, it will hang up on the first step (flash nvdef.img target didn't report max-download-size)
Same. Just going to wait for beta 2 next week.
Just return back to a previous version from stock using the system dumps in the other thread. I can confirm this will allow you to install the update.

Yes, you can.
If you feel comfortable with ADB flashing then you can flash the latest Oreo beta 2 over N without problems. Just follow the instructions, download links, and steps directly form Essential website.

See if you can flash this from settings. It used to allow you to downgrade from Pie Beta. I'm not sure if it will work for Pie Official. You will most likely lose your data if you successfully flash this. So backup your stuff even before attempting this.
Or you can use the unbrick method to completely reflash your phone to 5.1.5 using MsmDownload Tool.

Download the 5.1.11 fastboot rom. Extract it. Open the folder you extracted and run flash-all-partitions-fastboot.bat
You see some things that look like errors but they aren't!! You have to have patients and just wait!!! When it completed it will say press any key. Then unplug phone and boot. You'll be on latest 8.1
Here's the link.

Hello
I also want to go back to android 8.1
In the phone settings in the local upgrade section, the old version is still available but the message "to avoid the failure of the start-up phase, no downgrading is allowed", is there a solution for to work around this problem?
Thank you all

If you're unlocked, flash it trough TWRP and format your storage.
If you're not, on a Sticky thread somewhere on this forum, you can get a rollback build (it's an Oreo build, the latest if i remember correctly, it's clearly called "rollback")
Edit : it's on this page : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3792244
What issues are you all having with 9? I was on the BETA build when I first got the phone and had several issues.. but after downgrading to the recent stable build.. I haven't really had any issues..
So Motorola listed this on their website that Pie Rollout for G6 began on 14th of March.
I'm currently on second beta of Pie so if anyone gets the update please capture the OTA and share.

Same for me. Script may not apply to PIE installation or for all G6 variant
Flashed firmware from link in post #2 using RSD lite no problems . Variant xt1925-6 bootloader is locked due phone is only 2 weeks old and Im not ready to void my warranty.
I did manual (fastboot method) update after picked up full ROM from post #2
Don't worry flashing BTFM, and use "adspso.bin" to flash dsp
Everything works as it was and I regained root.

I tested it. This firmware package is just the Brazilian version renamed because their MD5 and SHA1 data are exactly the same. Do not trust it and I don't know who uploaded it. And after you flashing it your phone will remind you that the firmware is invalid and you cannot get access to the OTA delivery. My device is XT1925-6, the retus version.

I didn't received official OTA via "check for updates" option yet so:
I just manually downloaded and installed this OTA file on my TA-1043 and it works fine! I performed the update via recovery using ADB sideload. Restarted the phone and having android 10. It is so simple!

It is no problem with stock recovery. How to enter stock recovery, just do these steps:

Then you can "Apply update from ADB" or "Apply update from SD card". I did it via ADB sideload.

Hi,
I would like to know if anybody encountered this. This is my second time encountering this issue. I was on 12.0.4 and received a notification to perform update to 12.4.0. After downloading and rebooting, my twrp launched and after a few seconds instead of flashing, it went to the main menu page. After that, the phone just goes to fastboot mode and refused to boot. My phone has been rooted with magisk. Much appreciated for experts inputs.
The only way for me to boot my phone is to do a clean flash using mi flash tool and fallback to the old version...
Thank you.

V12.0.4.0.QJKMIXM is a android 10 stable rom and V12.2.4.0.RJKMIXM is a android 11 stable beta rom which has many bugs.
V12.2.4.0.RJKEUXM is a stable rom that you can flash with miflash(but EEA not global).
After successfully going to v12.2.4.0, now I am finding that my current TWRP 3.4.1b unable to decrypt the phone thus not able to root it. I guess I have to fall back to 12.0.4.0 to be safe... I was tempted to go to 12.2.4.0 due to android 11 but looks like it's too problematic now due to beta. I was actually wondering why beta was pushed to me.

Yes i am able to successfully flashed twrp via fastboot afterward and directly proceed to root using magisk.
Everything works as usual, except, for me atleast, twrp now require pattern-type (3x3 dot) as password for decryption. Pin or character doesnt works.

To solve update problem you need to Rollback to stable stock rom, I used this:

extracted it.
then used mi flash from this toolkit:

sorry, but I cant provide links to downloads.
