I'm using HTC desire 816 dual sim running on android 4.4.2. I can't find the fastboot option in my power settings. I searched for it in whole of the settings but I'm unable to find the fastboot option. similarly, there is no OEM unlock option in my developer's options. besides these things my phone won't connect to htc sync manager even though I installed htc_sync.apk in my device. What can I do? I'm from India and I bought this device in singapore.
Please do some favor.

hey everyone. i finally got my one x from at&t and now i'm trying to do everything to it before it all gets fixed. i've rooted and now i'm attempting to unlock the bootloader.
the problem is the drivers. if the phone is not in the bootloader, my computer identifies the device as "my htc", however, when it is in the bootloader, it is identified as "android 1.0".
i have already gotten supercid, i just need the identifier token. when i use the command "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" it just says waiting for device. when i put the command in, my hox is in the bootloader.
so can anyone help with my problem? i'm pretty sure it's the drivers, but i can't find them anywhere online, and my computer doesn't automatically look for them.
If you install htc sync which you can get from htc.com you'll get drivers too. Just make sure htc sync is disabled when you use any of the one click tools.
Your phone has to be in fastboot mode, not bootloader. Use the vol up and down to select fastboot, and power button to confirm.
when i installed htc sync, it said the drivers failed to install. is there a direct download to manually install the drivers?

Hi.
I want to unlock bootloader on my HTC ChaCha but I have to use that RAA thingy to make it unlockable. Everything goes well until phone reboots to bootloader. After that, HTC Android Phone ROM Update Utility gets stuck on "Wait for bootloader..." and Windows shows that device couldn't be recognized. I already tried to install several HTC Sync versions and driver packs but it didn't helped.
How to fix that?
Well, I managed to previously unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, then rooted an A9 I got on eBay for sprint. When I factory reset it, it went into some French mode, so I decided to start clean and used the official HTC 1.57XXXX RUU.exe Im still unlocked and S-off but I am not rooted and dont have TWRP.
SO now my problem; I CANNOT ****in get ADB command to pickup the A9, all it outputs is OFFLINE.
I went as far as CLEAN install of windows ten. Wiped EVERYTHING.
installed HTC sync manager
installed 15 ADB
restart computer
at this point any normal human being would think that the ADB command should pickup the phone by now.
BTW I've set developer mode, OEM unlocking and usb debugging and accepted that this computer can transfer files.
This sucks. please help. This is day 3 of troubleshooting on my own for something that should have been done in an hour

So "adb devices" give your nothing? not a mes on the phone to let adb connect?

Must have been a driver error because I was able to do it on my other laptop no problem. The weird thing is I flashed twrp via ADB on the A9 (on my pc before getting errors) and then I did my girlfriends M9 and thats when the drivers got funky.
Still tho problem remains I get device offline if I try to hook up to my PC, if it was because of any settings to select on my phone it would say "unauthorized" but thats not the case, I've authorized the phone for usb debugging to my PC
The offline must be due to you using the wrong version of adb, or could it be a firewall/antivirus prog blocking connection?

I have a question about making a demo htc one a9 into a working normal phone.
I found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-a9/general/guide-convert-demo-phone-to-retail-t3269515
and many other guides about how to do that.
The general problem for me is that I simply cannot access the developer options
(or to be more exact, turn them on from the right corner of the dev options menu...everything but "running services" is gray and can't be clicked).
Is there a way to turn them on so I can turn OEM uncloking on to unlock bootloader via HTC support
as it seems that it's the only option to access fastboot to install twrp and root this device etc.??
Thanks in advance.
Hey everyone, my first post on here. So I have a problem with my Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen (2014), I tried flashing a stock ROM (through Android SDK) because my phone went into a bootloop, but it failed and I found out it was because the bootloader was locked, but I can't access my OS to enter developer options and enable unlock OEM option (I tried the fastboot unlock oem command but it says that I have to unlock it through developer options but I can't), I can't enter recovery mode because it got corrupted somehow. Is there any solution, I am trying to flash a stock OS!
Simple 1 minute research reveals several ways of doing that, i never tried them nor do i have experience it motorola smartphones also your data will be lost so do it at your own risk!
I found this assuming that you can access fastboot https://www.hardreset.info/devices/motorola/motorola-xt1064-moto-g-2nd-gen/faq/firmware-flash/
Also because your phone has a snapdragon processor maybe you can find a compatible firmware and flash it using qualcomm's flash tool.
Add " Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen (2014) " to front of this thread's title thus owners of such device get addressed.
