I live in India but I bought an Xperia XZS from Malaysia recently. This device in India supports VOLTe which is one of the main requirements for me as I am on a VOLTe only carrier. But for some reason my phone doesn't support it, maybe it's not available in Malaysia, I don't know. Any solution by which maybe I can flash my phone with some firmware to enable it?
I bought my mom an xz1 and volte pops up automatically. I can't get it on my xzs either. I wonder if it's a sim card issue. I will pop my mom's simcard in to see if volte pops up tonight.

Does the U11+ support VoLTE and WiFi Calling ? How do you enable it, I can't find anything in settings.
My network (Vodafone Romania) supports it, and the HTC U11+ page says it is supported,
but in real use I don't see it. When I make a call it still changes the network mode from 4G+ to 3G for the call.
Any advice ?
It's an unlocked European version of U11+ (CID __34, Dual SIM, 6GB, 128 GB.), fully stock.

I wouldn't hold my breath for it to be honest. HTC need to push out an update to enable VoLTE for carriers in europe and they haven't done it for any country in the EU
HTC does not answer my question! I also want these two functions.
I'm on 5.1.9 but despite i activated the option only the Sim used for data traffic can actually connect to 4G. The other Sim seems forced and stuck in 3G at 900MHz (band 8)
There's no use for LTE on the phone sim unless you are lucky to live in China, India or Finland AND use a sim card of the view carriers supporting VoLTE in the OP6.
No sense reply. OP declares dual 4G on both Sim. My phone supports 4g only one sim and the worse the secondary sim is locked on 3G band 8
Are you using any custom rom? i faced similar issue on havoc rom

No. Pure stock 5.1.9
I had the same problem. But i went back to 5.1.8 and problem solved now dual 4g active.
Crazy but settings the phone on the English instead of my local language the problem seems gone.
I'm in America and I'm having the same problems after the 5.1.9 update, one SIM is always in regular GSM mode even with the dual-4G mode enabled.

That is completely false. Even T-Mobile in the US supports VoLTE. Even if it didn't though, it still allows for faster SIM switching since it was already on LTE.
Curious how you guys are checking it. Mine both say VoLTE and it seems to be fine for me.
I reset the network settings and it work for a few hours. The dual sim 4g instructions are broken .
I just heard it from one of the reviewers and I needed to confirm it from one of the experts here

Nope..you can just have 5g on one sim card available. Second sim can be still used for phone calls etc..
Hint: i am no expert...but common sense should apply
Yes 5g will disable other sim.Just tested

so you say when 5g is enabled, phone is only single sim? I thought one 4G + one 5G. Could you please try if SIM2 can work with 5G? or 5G has to be SIM1?

When 5g is enabled, phone is only single sim and sim1or2 doesn't really matter.
Yes poco said that when you use 5G phone will be single sim till they will give update that will make 1 sim 5G and other will be 4G
You just have to read the user guide.........
About Dual SIM:
• Supports Dual SIM cards with no carrier restrictions, single 5G or dual 4G
connectivity ①
• Supports Dual Nano-SIM card slots, either card can be set as the primary
card
• Supports single SIM 5G/4G+/4G/3G/2G
• Supports Dual SIM 4G+/4G/3G/2G
• Supports Dual SIM VoLTE HD calling ②
Note ①: 5G support depends on the local telecom operator’s network; if
the primary card 5G is enabled, the secondary card will not be available;
subsequent software upgrades will include support for primary 5G and
secondary 4G/3G/2G card mode function in dual-card situations.
Note ②: VoLTE service availability depends on the local telecom operator’s
network and service deployment
Not so complicate....
So according to the user manual dual sim support while 5g enabled is coming with a future update? the phone is five months old, did the promised update come through yet? are all other ROMs available for this device have the same issue?
The promised update is yet to come .

The phone was launched 5 months ago but probably due to the pandemic there is surprisingly little development and discussion from the community's side. Barely 4 roms.
I have been waiting 2 months now to upgrade because there is no way I ever use MIUI.
Last week LineageOS was released, but it's Android 10, and only initial build.
I will probably wait or lineageOS 18 before I buy this phone, but this means waiting few months the way things are going.
Dont forget that very few people use dual sim on their phone... Not a priority to fix ;o)

I would say there are more dual sim users than 5G users, maybe that's it.
Hey Everyone,
Kind of a long shot but worth trying if someone can help me with my issue. I have T-Mobile unlocked OP 8T device and I came to india for few months. I got Reliance JIO SIM to use while I am in India but the SIM is not getting recognized at all in T-Mobile device.
Is there anything that can help my device recognize JIO SIM.
Hi, I bought s21+ exynos (with vodafone italia firmware) but even though I am using vodafone as carrier voLTE does not work. There is no more the option to activate it.
Do you experience the same problem?
Same phone here from Slovenia and with Volte option enabled in my phone...try asking Vodafone why u dont have Volte option or u can probably flash another firmware for ur device and see if that helps.
All those people getting excellent sot , how much it is of watching video on social media platforms ??
on my sm21+ itv version, volte works correctly with Tim
i left Vodafone because volte not working on my previous asus phone
