My friend recently gave me an HTC Dash for T-Mobile. It's running WM6.1 Kavana's ROM 1.33.424.2. After he gave it to me I unlocked for AT&T completely, 100% legally. I called T-Mobile and they gave me the unlock code.
But since I've been using it it will randomly turn off. It seems to shut off more often using MMS or anything through the Internet, but it will also turn off just sitting in my pocket or while texting. Luckily it hasn't ever crashed during a call.
When I try to turn it back on it will either shut down before fully turning on (it will show the boot screen but turn off), it will turn on but say the battery is dangerously low and it needs to be shut down, or one time it had an error message saying "The device could not be started due to sudden loss of power. Click YES to continue or NO to shut down. Please be sure the device is completely shut down before removing the battery." If you click YES it shuts down. If you click NO the screen turns white then tries to start up a few seconds later and fails.
The way I stop this is plug it in to a charger and turn it on so it can't die. It says the battery is low but since its plugged in it won't turn off. Then once it turns on I turn it off normally by tapping the power button and selecting Power Off. Then I take out the battery, put the battery back in, turn the phone on, and then the battery is back to the power level it was before the crash and the phone works fine again. But any texts or calls I had made in the past few minutes are erased as if they hadn't been made, sent, or received.
I've already tried a few hard resets and it doesn't seem to work. I even downgraded to WM6. I just want to know if this is a software problem, a battery problem, a hardware problem, or something else. Thank you to anyone that can help.
Welcome to the forum
I assume that your battery is working ok right?

Good luck,
I've tried the hard reset a few times, I don't know whats wrong.
Hi all,
my polaris, that was in my pocket started vibrating every 5 secs some mins ago.
Watching what could be, and i saw it's in continuous reboot.
It displays the first logo (smart mobility) then reboots.
no say to enter in bootloader mode or hardresetting.
it displays that two screens for a while, if i try them, then an another reset.
I removed the battery and wait for 10 mins... same thing. no way to get a boot.
Removed sd and simcard... same problem.
A reboot (like softreset) every 4 seconds until you unplug battery.
halp.
Did you try hard reset?

it happened with me last night but it was almost out of battery so it will start to boot bit it will fail because the battery needs to be charged.
so take the battery out. wait for 1 or 2 minutes. reinsert it. do not turn the device on. recharge. turn ur phone 10 minutes latere because now it has enough power to boot

Hi,
I've had this Moto G3 for just over 6 months now and have had no problems with it until very recently. Basically, I was trying to add a new Google account to the phone earlier, but after entering my PIN to access the Google screen, the phone froze, and I had to force reboot. Startup took slightly longer, but then the phone switched on.
Two hours later, I picked up the phone and pressed the power button. Nothing. I pressed and held, for about 12 seconds. Nothing. I unplugged and replugged the charger. Nothing. I put the phone down and went on my laptop, and suddenly, my lockscreen appeared.
It then did the same thing later. What's happening? It can't be the charger, or the battery. I've never rooted or modified the system things on the phone, it's close to stock Marshmallow. Any help?
Have you tried a hard reset through recovery mode?

Send it to Motorola, best advice you can get.
I bought a Huawei Honor 5C Pro phone 2 years back and so far it had been working well. Two nights back, the phone shut down because of empty battery and I slept without putting it on charge.
The next morning, I started to charge it but the red light started blinking continuously for some time. Then, the honor logo was repeatedly flashing on and off without it reaching the lock screen. After every two or three times of flashing honor logo, it flashes emui with reboot, factory reset and clear partition cache options but it doesn't stop for me to choose any option.
This bootloop happens continuously while it is charging and if I remove it from charging, it still bootloops and doesn't shutdown no matter what. It bootloops until all battery is drained and then shuts down.
I did not root or add custom OS or something. The phone was running the android version it came with.
Unfortunately, the battery is not removable.
Also, the problem is, when I put it on charge, for some time a red light blinks and then without any input from user, the phone switches on, boots to Honor logo and after every 2-3 honor logo flashes, it flashes to emui (with reboot, factory reset and clear partition cache option) but the screen immediately blacks out before I can choose any option.
The morning it happened, after many tries, it did open once at 10% charge. But it again switched off and hasn't stopped bootlooping since.
I don't care if the phone doesn't work. I just need the data stored on the ROM. If the phone can work, that's great but the data is more important.
As long as the phone keeps charging, this boot loop keeps happening despite me trying to switch off the phone. When I remove it from charging, it still boot loops until battery is low.
I tried connecting it to a laptop using a usb but the laptop only detects the phone/device for 2-3 seconds.
Please help me get back control of the phone or atleast recover the data stored on the phone's ROM.
Hello guys,
Please, I need Your help.
So I was just playing some stupid game on my phone and phone turned off and restarted till where is vibration and text MIX in the middle of screen and after one second restarts again till same MIX text and over and over again. It's been doing it for hours now.
Tried power button and volume up and down, all I can get is mi-recovery of fastboot, but I can not do enything because after second phone keeps restarting over and over again.
I removed back cover and disconnected battery and waited some minutes, but after reconnecting battery phone automatically starts till MIX text and reboots over and over again.
Battery was about 60%, don't know how many days it will take for phone to shut down due empty battery, maybe that will help to restart normally.
Maybe You, guys, have any suggestions what I can do?
Thank You in advance.
