Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode Kies & try again
HI all,
I did the stupid thing of installing CWM on my SGII Plus without wiping everything before, so Odin failed the process and now I'm stuck on this screen that says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode Kies & try again".
The problem is that I can't connect my device to Kies because it stays forever on the "Connection..." phase.
The other problem is that I can enter in download mode on my device, but Odin doesn't see the phone because I haven't its drivers and Kies doesn't download them.
What can I do? I really need help.
Thanks in advance

I soft bricked my phone , any suggestion ?

please can anyone help me to bypass the softbrick, after installing a stock rom with odin he failed at the end and i waited to long then i rebooted my phone ! and now i have an error has occured while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software ! what shall i do please guys
Flash it again?... Try a full wipe?
If nothing works, put your phone into download mode, then through odin, install a stock image. Make sure it's the correct image!!

Stuck in firmware upgrade! Unknown build/carrier/country

My friend's Galaxy Tab 2 is stuck on the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" screen and I can't get it to start. I flashed all 3(twrp, cwm, philz) recovery using Odin but none of them worked. Odin recognizes my Tab and I know I can fix this by flashing the stock firmware but the issue is that I don't know the build/pda/anything that is required to download the stock firmware from this page: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5100/
All I know is that this Tab was bought from Pakistan.
