I currently have the Moto X pure and was thinking of getting the HTC U11. I'm on T-Mobile and was hoping someone could let me know how the reception is and whether wifi calling works.
Thanks
Better service than iPhone 6s side by side. WiFi calling works fine although I've always felt iPhone handled WiFi calling better in terms of handoff.

T-Mobile here and I use WiFi calling every day; works great for me. Reception is good in areas where they have coverage. I have no coverage at my house, which is why I use WiFi calling every day.

The fastest I ever saw on Sprint's 4G was 7Mbps! This is extremely impressive!
I live in Northern NJ and I regularly get 4.25-5.25 Mbps on my Nexus One. TMo has really good coverage around here... The fastest I have ever had was 5.60 Mbps. And that is without hspa+ . I can only imagine what I would get running a G2...

Found this on my old EVO's SD card backup folder. My fastest Sprint 3G test:
T-Mobile is very impressive indeed

I've hit these speeds a couple of times here in Chicago. HSPA+ is here to stay. Can't wait until they expand coverage.
I did search the forums.. I know this is an ongoing and well known issue with the phone. But as of 11/16/2011 are there any new radio/kernels/etc that can help? The reception is way worse than my old Evo and my wife's Epic in the same locations. Lots of time the phone just behaves bad because it can't obtain a signal. There may be not be a software solution, it is just such a shame because the phone is 90% awesome. Any new developements?

Maybe you have a defective phone. With the same radio you are using I get as good or better receptions than the 2 evos in the house.

Thanks for the data point! I was wondering it was my handset...
Maybe when ICS come out, I will unroot, revert to stock, go to Sprint store and complain, and maybe they will swap my handset.
Hello All,
I just got invited to purchase a One yesterday, but I am not sure what providers/carriers I am able to use it with in Canada. I was wondering if anybody had one and could tell me who it will work with or knows who it will work with. The providers that I am looking at are:
-Telus
-Rogers
-Bell
-Koodo
-Fido
-Virgin Mobile
Any and all information is appreciated.
Thanks,
Graeme
if its unlocked, then it should work with all, as they all use the same spectrum,
P.S mind sending an invite your neighbours way
OK so first thing first, koodo, Fido and virgin mobile is owned by one of the big 3, so if the phone works on the big 3 it will work on them.

Now that is right from OnePlus One, so the only carriers I don't think will work, is carriers like wind, mobilicity, and companies like that
Just received this notice that I have to replace my LG V60 Unlocked ATT variant by July 1st 2022
Apparently, the ATT version of VoLTE does not work with TMO

Or they just dont recognize your device as being compatible, but it will be fine. Try this. Turn off 5g. While connected ONLY via cellular, place a call. Leave the call connected. Perhaps call a friends phone or some such. Now watch a long you tube video. LTE phones without VOLTE cannot support data and voice at the same time. When you place a voice calls they fall back to 3g for the voice calls and drop the data connection. Of you can stay connected to lte and watch the streaming video while talking on the phone at the same time, VOLTE is working.
In case anyone is wondering, these are the speeds I just got on my Mi Fold 2 in Santa Monica, on T-Mobile

I"ve yet to get any connection on 5G around me since switching to T-mobile last week. not a huge deal since I very very rarely ever need data but it still bothers me a bit. there are 5g bands that Tmobile uses that wont' work with this phone from the charts I've seen and I think thats the problem in the Pittsburgh area
Yep: TMo has a patchwork of frequencies, and in some places it'll be great and in others it'll be literally non existent.
I live in the bay area, I rarely get 5g, but when I do it's crazy fast.
Do any of you have 5g aggregation on in developer mode? Do y'all experience any different with it on vs off?
Also, for TMobile are y'all on epc or fast apn?
In advance setting, do y'all have 5g smart switch on or off? Does that also help?
